I can only say great things about Chablé Maroma and the team that runs it. They took care of every detail and included so many special touches for us above and beyond what we asked for or expected. It’s been one week since our visit and our group is still raving about what an exceptional experience they had. We did a buy-out of the resort with 75 friends for a 3-day celebration of each of our milestone birthdays and wedding (we got married during covid and this was our “ceremony”). Throughout the entire planning process, the team was easy to work with - they were flexible where we wanted something unique and clear on parameters when we needed to adhere to certain policies or protocols. They helped us liaise with the vendors and worked with them directly on setting up and tearing down, etc. They sought our input on everything, but also were happy to make decisions on items we didn’t have a specific opinion about - and it always turned out beautifully. It was a major effort to organize the logistics for this many people and it went off smoothly. The resort itself is beyond amazing. Each room has a private entrance and is surrounded by trees, so it is secluded from anyone walking by. Because of the vegetation surrounding the entire resort, it also feels secluded and means the beach is practically a private one. It is clear the staff take great care to keep everything in order. The food is top quality and very fresh. Eating at Bu’ul is a real treat, but everything else is still so so good. The spa is a beautiful place and the massage I received might be the best one I’ve ever had. While we brought a party with us, the resort is designed for quiet relaxation and calm - a respite from a hectic pace that feels worlds away from day-to-day life. The true highlights of this place are: the attentiveness of the staff, the amazing food, the luxurious accommodations, the incredible spa treatments, and being surrounded by nature.

Hotel's Favorite
Chablé Maroma exceeded our expectation on every level. The resort itself was absolutely breathtaking, and maintained to perfection. Our accommodations were exceptional, with a private pool and outdoor shower. The pool and beaches were perfectly maintained and there was never a problem with availability of chairs. The staff was super vigilant about placing towels on everyone's lounger and catering to all food/drink needs. They even brought bottled water without request. The meals were perfection. The resort offered various special meals in additional to their restaurants. Everything we ate was exceptional, especially Bu'ul's tasting/pairing menu. Micheal, the sommelier, recommended perfect pairings, many of which were Mexican wines that we were not familiar with. Hector, one of the amazing staff at Bu'ul, even has a Mezcal pairing that we're excited to try with our next visit. Jerry at the Raw bar is a master of craft cocktails and shares his secrets at his cocktail class, be sure to make time for this! Every day we enjoyed breakfast at Kaban with the most lovely staff, a wonderful start to each day in paradise. We enjoyed a 90 minute Holistic Massage at the spa. Yes it was pricey, but easily the best massage I've ever had. Many of the spa amenities are complimentary and I would definitely take advantage. The steam room is exceptional, then a dip in the cool pool is blissful. This was by far the most we've ever paid for a vacation, though it was worth every cent. We had the most perfect, restorative, relaxing week. I would highly recommend and we'll most definitely return.

Cannot recommend Chable Maroma enough. Everything was excellent. Great food, extremely friendly staff who were beyond attentive but not intrusive. The villas were comfortable and beautiful. The property is well designed and provides lots of privacy. The beach was well maintained. Nothing like afternoon popcycles on the beach. Housekeeping noted we drank Coke Lite and kept our in-room fridge well stocked. We cannot wait to visit another Chable property soon!!!

We spent a weekend at the Chable Maroma. Relatively new (opened in 2020), the resort is wonderful. Even though the road from the main highway isn't nice, the resort itself is impecable. Every person we interacted with was very friendly, helpful and made you feel special. The resort is very walkable (versus others where you need a buggy to get around). We stayed in a King Villa. On a second floor, it had a private plunge pool and terrace under a thatched roof, and a large room with a large bathroom with an outdoor shower. From the terrace and pool you cannot see anyone because of the dense foliage that surrounds every villa. It gave you a very private feel. Wifi was fast and stable, and the TV allowed you to connect to Netflix easily. One downside were the mosquitoes, specially the first day (we arrived a day after a strong storm). They give you bug spray but it still wasn't enough. The other days the mosquitoes weren't an issue. There are three room blocks, 100s, 200s and 300s. Ask for the 300s since they are closer to the beach, pool and restaurants. We stayed in a 200 room, which was only a 7 minute walk from the beach. The spa had complementary hot, cold and tropical pools and sauna that you could use freely. We spent a good time there, which was very relaxing. The restaurants are by the pool area. We dined at Kabam and had breakfast at Bu'ul. Eveything was great and they had a good selection of vegetarian options. Breakfast was included and you could order a la carte whatever you wanted. The waitstaff was always very attentive and helpful. The beach area had cabanas, umbrellas and loungers, with plenty available. The beach staff sets up your loungers, brings you the drink of the day, and are always around for anything you need. The one downside is that most of the Riviera Maya's beaches are not full of algae (zargazos), and so enjoying the ocean is difficult. The hotel scoops the algae from the beach, and there are some spots that you can enter without algae, but it's now a common issue in most of the Cancun and Riviera Maya beaches. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend the Chable Maroma.

The Chable Maroma is magically! We loved everything about our stay and plan to return. The grounds are beautiful and serene. The staff is top notch…never went without anything, all needs were met and we were always warmly greeted. The spa is beautiful…one of the best massages I’ve ever had. The food was all amazing and even though there’s limited number of restaurants, we only ever ate one thing twice (because it was so good). We took a cooking class and learned a lot…the chef is AMAZING! We stayed in a king villa suite and it was perfection…the private plunge pool was awesome…there’s two toilets (his and hers…nice), two showers (inside and out) with three rain shower heads. Beds are comfortable plus there’s five other sitting areas. The black out curtains and the feel you are all alone in the jungle was perfection. Couldn’t rec this resort more and we will def go back!!

We were a little nervous leading up to the trip, based on mixed reviews we read here, so I felt compelled to write one of our own as we were blown away by our experience! SERVICE- 5+++ stars all the way around. Staff always went above and beyond. Fast. Super friendly and genuinely engaged. Remembered our names!! Highly knowledgeable about the food and drink and enthusiastic to share and improve your culinary experience. Loved that! FOOD- 5+++ stars. Better than, or at least as good as, the best quality restaurants in NYC. We ate our way through their extensive menu-- breakfast was amazing and even included with our rate--and I personally made it my mission to try every margarita on their menu. I believe the Chef headed one of the top 50 restaurants in the world, and the food did NOT disappoint. And so beautifully plated, too, each was like a work of art. Loved the Raw Bar-- Can't beat those views! ACCOMMODATIONS- We stayed in the Serenity Villa. As someone who loves an ocean view, I was worried I'd be disappointed. Not at all. Aptly named, it was very serene; the jungle experience was really cool for a change. Indoor AND outdoor showers, private plunge pool (so warm it was almost like a bath) and his and hers toilets were just some of the perks! And the "eye opener" coffee/pastries brought to your villa in the morning was such a nice and thoughtful experience. I couldn't believe when the staff member who took my (high maintenance) coffee order got it exactly right. every.day. Kudos! Even at a 5-star hotel, I'm always used to some aspect being missed. Not here! Thank you! And the "coati" (jungle 'raccoons') were adorable if they showed up outside your door. So fun to see them in the wild. They did not cause us any issues; instead, it was a highlight of our trip! SPA- Please make use of the quiet, serene spa pool while you're there! Another highlight. The massages and clinicians were wonderful, first class all the way. GYM- Honestly, if there was one small negative I can say it's that the gym, while sufficient for a vacation, was a little bare bones. As a woman who likes to lift, I would have loved to have had light dumbbells (under 5 lbs) for people who like to lift lighter weights! I made due with the lighter weights/straps on the upright universal gym. BEACH- Gorgeous white sand beaches. Is there a lot of seaweed that washes up on shore due to global warming? Yes. Did we think they needed someone out there driving back and forth almost non-stop with a beach comber to pick it all up? No, it felt excessive and ruined the peace a bit. Again, if there was any drawback, it wasn't the seaweed itself but the excessive use of the beachcomber that ruined the peace a bit. Just another example of this place going above and beyond. I'm sure if they didn't, people would complain about the seaweed on the beach, but we personally thought it didn't need to be cleaned up as much as they did. MISC- The paths with jungle foliage were very cool. It was almost like a jungle maze. That said, we did get a little lost sometimes and a few more directional path markings would really be helpful. POOLS- Wonderful. 'Nuff said.

Chable Maroma is our new favorite place on this earth. It’s totally private and every aspect has an intimate feel. The rooms are perfectly situated for romance. We especially love the outdoor shower and private pool. Yoga on the beach each morning is inspiring. The reef is incredibly close and so my husband can swim out to it daily and snorkel on his own. This past trip he saw eagle rays, puffer fish, eels, sting rays, barracuda, sea turtles and more. The location is the perfect blend for us of adventure and romance.

What a classy and nice resort, they really nailed it. Amazing staff, the bathrooms are the coolest I've maybe ever seen and great food at the restaurant. The hotel is bogged down with a bunch of cheesy activities, it's sleek and has all the things an adult could want. Need to double down on the fact that the staff are the most professional and accomodating.

This is a small boutique resort with lots of privacy around the rooms. We have stayed twice in the last 4 months in a standalone Villa. Lots of privacy so we could use the large covered porch area and the plunge pool in complete privacy. The food is clearly a notch above any resort we have visited. Food is very important to us. The staff is also very responsive and helpful. There were several folks working to keep the beach clean from seaweed. I think this is as good as it gets!

The food program and spa program were why we chose this over other luxury resort properties in the area. The room service, restaurants, and beach food were all absolute top quality and better than most hotels. The spa had a good amount of couples treatments which is what we prefer, enough for each day. We also did a Shaman Wedding Ceremony which was absolutely magical - authenticity and intention of the shaman and his team, the traditional costumes and songs and ceremonies were magical. We exchanged plant crowns, blessed coffee beans, threw them in the ocean blessed by the universe, and took a kopal bath uniting our love in history. It was truly special and one for the memory books! The villa was extremely nice and thoughtfully laid out for couples, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable with high quality design. Highly recommend a few days here for a romantic getaway.
