What a thrill and surprise to learn that we have been chosen as the signature image of the annual guide to Maine Guide to Inns and Bed & Breakfast accommodations, published by the Maine Tourism Association. Our sweet little waterfront deck is on the cover of the magazine, as well as the online guide! We hope you'll find your way to our special little spot and share your own special memory of the majestic Maine coast. Located on the waterfront in the heart of the scenic coastal town of Boothbay Harbor, our historic Victorian Bed and Breakfast has earned the distinction as the "finest B&B on the Waterfront." Our waterfront Inn, located on Boothbay Harbor enjoys the ever changing tides of the Harbor, specializes in gracious Down East hospitality, most accommodations with water views, and balconies overlooking Boothbay Harbor. Guests love our convenient location, we located on the harbor enjoy the tides changing, park your car and walk along to harbor to all the boating excursions, restaurants, shops and galleries. Make sure to visit us in the winter as well. The Gardens Aglow during our winter months paired with the Opera House and Winter Festivals are magical. Our Bed and Breakfast is just steps away to all downtown Boothbay Harbor’s shops, art galleries, restaurants, fishing and boating excursions. Free off street parking and free wi-fi.

Super clean, extremely comfortable furniture , mattress, sheets, pillows and art work in the room made it very welcoming. The view with a deck and table and chairs made you almost want to not leave the Inn. It was within walking distance of everything downtown Boothbay Harbor has to offer. The Inn keeper was very accommodating and an excellent cook. Boothbay Harbor has a great sub shop/whiskey bar where one can get a $5 beer up to a $1,500 shot of scotch, not to mention great subs. We loved it. Travel on the scenic coastal State route 96 was spectacular

What a fabulous place to stay! We stayed here for four nights as we explored central coastal Maine. This Inn is beautiful and the innkeeper, Stephanie is just lovely. This is a four story Victorian style home filled with antique furniture, paintings, Knick-knacks and plants.
Every room is unique and comfortable. We especially liked the rooms with the decks and the penthouse views are great. And Stephanie is what every innkeeper should be- friendly and eager to help you with anything you need. And she makes the breakfast. Breakfasts were excellent. Great quiche, fruits, potatoes, cinnamon rolls and blueberry muffins. There were also cookies for our arrival. We left from Boothbay and traveled north to Camden one day and south to Bath the second day. The Boothbay marinas, stores and shops and footbridge make for a great day of exploring as well. And what a great place to come back to and relax. Thank you Stephanie for helping to make our anniversary trip so special! We will be back.

Harbour Towne Inn is wonderful. It sits near the end of the harbour… quiet, yet close to all the activity. This B&B is delightfully decorated, with a comfy bed in a spacious room, private bath with mini fridge and microwave, and has a wide deck outside with seating that affords a relaxing view of the harbor. It was adorably decorated, and had an abundance of colorful flowers all about the property. Stephanie is a very gracious host - she serves a breakfast of scrumptious quiches, homemade muffins, fresh fruit, fresh juice and coffee, and even serves warm cookies in the evening. It’s picture postcard perfect!

We spent our sister's annual weekend birthday getaway at our favorite B&B, the Harbour Towne Inn. We were treated to the penthouse suit that accommodated us all so perfectly. We were incredibly comfortable and the efforts made by Stephanie & her staff to keep us happy & safe were exceptional.
We love the location and the convenience to be able to easily walk to all that Boothbay Harbor has to offer for shops and restaurants. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Thank you for another amazing stay! We will see you again but never soon enough!

Great location in Boothbay Harbor, walking distance from shops, ferries, restaurants. Rooms have thoughtful touches you expect but don’t see so much in some inns: shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, Wi-Fi, curated decor, and above all a fantastic breakfast on a deck overlooking the water. The host is very responsive—a couple of minor issues we had were immediately dealt with. Convenient to world class botanical gardens, Pemaquid, and other peninsulas. We were there for 5 days and would happily stay there again. Good COVID precautions.

Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful! Harbour Towne Inn, is an amazing place to stay in Boothbay Harbor. It’s water front location has great views on the beautiful deck that has such pretty flowers. The garden in the front is colorful and so inviting. The rooms are always clean, spacious and give that coastal Maine ambiance! The owner, Stephanie, is such an amazing host! I will always recommend this inn!

Close to town, no elevator, so have to drag luggage up to second and third floors. Ground floor rooms (room 7 and 8) are off the driveway, very tiny, dank, with a garage-like motel feel. Shower is very tiny. You can hear and feel footsteps from above and not worth the rate. Innkeeper Stephanie serves breakfast and was friendly.

I cannot say enough good things about the Inn. The rooms and entire environment are lovingly decorated, unique, and being there creates feelings of joy and serenity. The rooms and common areas are lush with personality.

We, of course, enjoyed Boothbay, but frankly, being at the Inn was a vacation experience in itself.
Stephanie, the owner is a gifted hostess. She is warm and welcoming, kind and delightful. She knows how to make people feel special. She recommended and made reservations for us at the perfect restaurant. She has working relationships with all the local business owners, and is a wealth of information and recommendations.

We celebrated our fortieth anniversary on Boothbay and the Inn and Stephanie were a big part of our enjoyment.

Truly, it is a wonderful place to stay.

We checked different B&B’s and chose Harbor Towne Inn when booking our travel plans to Maine and we were so glad we did! Stephanie is a wonderful hostess and her breakfasts are very special and delicious. It was so nice to be able to walk to different places for shopping and eating and returning late afternoon to the smell of coffee and warm cookies. We made several day trips and Stephanie was most helpful with ideas and directions, if needed. The Inn was very clean and many interesting antiques were to be found. If your lucky to be there when Stephanie makes Aunt Mabel’s bread you are in for a treat along with her homemade jam. Yum. Enjoy! We sure did!!

I came in late with a message text where I could find the room key… taped to front door with front door key… to the outside. This did not seem safe? I found the heat turned on 70 but had no ability to turn it down. Tried to call the Bnb owner with no answer. Room was very warm. The windows had no screens so opening them was not possible. I noticed a door to the outside in the. Bathroom hallway type area and that was open. I had already left my room and apparently not secured… I had no idea there was a door here yet unlocked with access to many guests. Had no breakfast but never met the owner would have been nice to take a bite or cup of coffee out the door. I had no way to contact her. I struggled to find the place called left messages no one answered. Not great experience.
