I cannot say enough good things about the Inn. The rooms and entire environment are lovingly decorated, unique, and being there creates feelings of joy and serenity. The rooms and common areas are lush with personality. We, of course, enjoyed Boothbay, but frankly, being at the Inn was a vacation experience in itself. Stephanie, the owner is a gifted hostess. She is warm and welcoming, kind and delightful. She knows how to make people feel special. She recommended and made reservations for us at the perfect restaurant. She has working relationships with all the local business owners, and is a wealth of information and recommendations. We celebrated our fortieth anniversary on Boothbay and the Inn and Stephanie were a big part of our enjoyment. Truly, it is a wonderful place to stay.…
What a fabulous place to stay! We stayed here for four nights as we explored central coastal Maine. This Inn is beautiful and the innkeeper, Stephanie is just lovely. This is a four story Victorian style home filled with antique furniture, paintings, Knick-knacks and plants. Every room is unique and comfortable. We especially liked the rooms with the decks and the penthouse views are great. And Stephanie is what every innkeeper should be- friendly and eager to help you with anything you need. And she makes the breakfast. Breakfasts were excellent. Great quiche, fruits, potatoes, cinnamon rolls and blueberry muffins. There were also cookies for our arrival. We left from Boothbay and traveled north to Camden one day and south to Bath the second day. The Boothbay marinas, stores and shops and footbridge make for a great day of exploring as well. And what a great place to come back to and relax. Thank you Stephanie for helping to make our anniversary trip so special! We will be back. …
We stayed in this hotel for the weekend as a fun little get away. I was blown away with the views from our room. Waking up and looking out over the harbor was a dream come true. Stefanie was nothing but amazing. She took great care of us and was nothing but welcoming and courteous. We have traveled all over and I can honestly say this will be the top place I recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.
The innkeeper, Stephanie, was so welcoming that it felt as though you were entering your own family’s home! So inviting. Comfortable, clean. Come and go as you please if you don’t want conversation. I met 8 wonderful people from different states. I’d surely return!
Super clean, extremely comfortable furniture , mattress, sheets, pillows and art work in the room made it very welcoming. The view with a deck and table and chairs made you almost want to not leave the Inn. It was within walking distance of everything downtown Boothbay Harbor has to offer. The Inn keeper was very accommodating and an excellent cook. Boothbay Harbor has a great sub shop/whiskey bar where one can get a $5 beer up to a $1,500 shot of scotch, not to mention great subs. We loved it. Travel on the scenic coastal State route 96 was spectacular
What an unexpected wonderful find in Boothbay Harbor. Absolutely engaging innkeeper who makes yummy cookies and a 5 star breakfast. I appreciated hot coffee being ready first thing in the morning. We were in room 9 which had everything we needed in a pleasant space , a deck, and view of the harbor and footbridge. We were able to walk to see the town and have dinner later in the evening. We can't wait to come back!
The Harbour Towne Inn is a beautiful Inn right in Boothbay Harbor, From our first phone call to arrival and all the way through departure we were very well cared for by the Inn's owner Stefanie. Room 10 had a splendid view of the harbor and all the amenities one could wish for. It was spacious and cozy. The breakfast is very good and we loved the scones Stefanie sent us out with every day. She rose early to accomodate the eager birders and had plenty of helpful tips like suggesting dinner at the Thistle Inn. We would happily return.
I had the privilege of staying a couple of nights at this pleasant house. The accommodations were idyllic and the balcony was great for fresh air (even in the winter temps). I noticed the setting was so quiet I needed to play white noise on my phone. I could hear the ducks feeding in the cove near the B&B. Breakfast was great and it was wonderful to visit with all of the other patrons and learn from where they hail.
My husband and I recently stayed at Harbour Towne Inn for a little getaway. We couldn't be happier with the friendly service, the clean and beautiful room, and the top notch gourmet breakfast that was served. Sitting on the balcony overlooking water was the ultimate relaxation. And we could walk to all of the local restaurants and shops within about 10 minutes or less. We can't wait to go back!
Close to town, no elevator, so have to drag luggage up to second and third floors. Ground floor rooms (room 7 and 8) are off the driveway, very tiny, dank, with a garage-like motel feel. Shower is very tiny. You can hear and feel footsteps from above and not worth the rate. Innkeeper Stephanie serves breakfast and was friendly.
