We stayed 3 nights. We had a connecting 2 bedroom. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, breakfast was delicious, beautiful view & convenient to town. We do off season so most of the harbor was not open. But we don't care about that since we dislike crowds. We enjoyed the lighthouses, sunsets & driving around.. I used to visit first week of June, but due to school we cannot visit then. Boothbay is beautiful the inn was great. The new owners are very pleasant & accommodating for breakfast. I would circle what we wanted then ask for plain pancakes for 1 or what ever the breakfast was. Great visit & experience
We so enjoyed our stay! Went for an offseason weekend getaway with our 1-year-old. The service was excellent, the breakfasts were delicious, and the oceanside hot tub was a treat. All of the personal touches of a Bed & Breakfast with more privacy. Highly recommend!
If you want a special getaway this is the place to stay. The hotel is exceptionally clean and beautiful with picturesque views. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay an amazing one. The location is central to everytjing. I would not stay anywhere else in Boothbay Harbor!
We stayed in #12 suite - main bedroom small but it worked, but the living space (sitting area and kitchen) were great. Only complaint is the shower is super small (like RV size small). We would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was WONDERFUL, delivered right to our patio. Innkeeper very nice. Furnishings and decor all very updated. Walking distance to town. You do have to carry your luggage up flights of stairs, even if on the 1st floor, it was no problem for us, but may be for some, but I feel the Innkeeper would help with that. 5*
The Harborage was a great place to stay while in Boothebay. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable and we were always greeted by smiling staff members who were friendly and most helpful. After placing our breakfast orders for the next morning, they were delivered on time, were delicious and prepared to perfection. The Inn is a short walk to shops, restaurants and museums. Will definitely stay here on next visit to Maine.
Great place to stay, super clean, great location, very clean, parking, and quite. Customer service is absolutely outstanding! We would stay here again for sure. Breakfast was great also. We stayed at four different places in Maine and this is our favorite for sure.
Gourmet delicious breakfast brought to our room each morning!!! Loved our stay! Ocean view, walk to town, it was perfect! We spent one morning at the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden which was lovely. The staff is exemplary, very friendly.
Stayed in suite 5 for our honeymoon and the Inn was amazing. Everything about the Inn caressed you with comfort, from the luxurious bed to the breakfasts made to order to the hot tub on the water and more. Each night you choose you next morning's breakfast from 3 rotating options and they were all delicious and delivered on time. The staff was very friendly and helpful even when we checked in late our first night. Beautiful view of the harbor when you step outside the room onto the deck (some rooms have direct view), and the location couldn't have been better- easy walk to everything in Boothbay Harbor. The amount of climate control was fantastic- A/C in the room, 2 ceiling fans, fast working heat, plenty of blankets... you can dial in exactly what you need. The only blemish was they did accommodate my wife's food allergies but it felt like they didn't really offer her a good substitute, just taking out the things she couldn't eat (though hers are particularly difficult for breakfast foods so your mileage may vary). Either way, this was as luxurious and comfortable as any pricey hotel I've stayed at and I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a place to let your cares melt away in Boothbay.…
We loved this charming Inn with its quaint character. I'm not a big fan of Bed & Breakfasts. The Harborage Inn was ideal in experiencing the coastal charm without staying in Bed & Breakfast and avoiding a mainstream hotel. This was a great home base while we took a few midcoast day trips. We stayed 3 nights in the 3rd floor corner room with a wonderful view. The coastal themed decor is done tastefully and the room's layout is well planned to maximize the space. The bathroom is an especially nice size with a counter and storage space. The Harborage Inn stole my heart as soon as we arrived. My husband is a big breakfast eater and the Harborage Inn won "His" heart the first breakfast delivered to our room. A breakfast menu is delivered to the room each evening and he was like a happy little kid when he got to choose from 3 options for breakfast the next morning. All the breakfast choices we had were not only very good but picture worthy too. I pressed my husband for his favorite which was the egg scramble and my favorite was the power bowl but again everything was very good. We especially enjoyed our time having breakfast and relaxing on the balcony. Our room was freshened daily. We appreciate the hosts who worked hard in helping us have such a nice stay. The only con is there is no elevator to the 3rd floor which could be a problem for some people. The stairs aren't steep and are well maintained...we didn't have a problem.…
We stayed in suite 12 which is a spacious suite with a separate (private) bedroom, a sitting area, another full sized bed (off of the sitting area), a kitchenette with an apartment sized fridge, sink, keurig, water bottles … and a beautiful view with a private balcony with a table and chairs. The room is perfect for a family of up to 4, I would say. Note that there is no bathtub (which I knew and it isn’t a problem for us, but it’s a detail someone may miss when booking). The bathroom is tight but clean with excellent and plentiful towels, excellent water pressure, and lovely toiletries & necessities, including soaps/shampoo. Breakfast is included and was delicious and VERY generously portioned. It was delivered to our room in the requested time slot (you choose your meal the night before and the time slot) and was enjoyed by all! Not your basic boring breakfast. It was really very delicious! Staff interaction was minimal but I consider that a good thing! What interaction we had was great! The room was clean, which was important! It’s always important! However, during covid, it felt extra important. I felt like the room was very clean, linens were clean, and room was fresh. Location, location, location! It’s just minutes (5?) to the harbor area shops, restaurants and piers where you can pick up the ferry to Cabbage Island, a whale watch, etc. Excellent location! I enjoyed an early morning walk alone and we all enjoyed several strolls through the area during our stay. Excellent accommodations and we really hope to make another trip back!…
