I love this place, as do all the friends that I’ve brought here over the years. The Innkeeper is wonderful and makes you feel like you are coming home, and the breakfast is outstanding. The Inn is cozy and comfortable and retains the atmosphere of the time when the buildings were sea captains’ homes. An added perk is that the Inn is at the of the end of the Main downtown street which has multiple restaurants and shops, and is also situated overlooking the beautiful Harbor.

Spent two summers working at The Admiral’s Quarters Inn, Boothbay Harbor, Maine! Overall, the inn was better than expected — each room bursts with character and charm. The history of the inn is revealed through its unyielding walls and resilient floors, which transport you back in time and allow you an exclusive window into the soul of stunning Boothbay Harbor. Passion, heart, and dedication are in no short supply at the Greenleaf, despite the labor shortage that devastated all Boothbay small business owners in the wake of a global pandemic. Before visiting, please be aware that the Greenleaf Inn is intended to accommodate guests who are looking for a true bed and breakfast experience. The majority of the rooms offer balconies with stunning views that are meant to be enjoyed and experienced with other travelers. Breakfasts are intended to provide an opportunity to socialize and enjoy small bites before venturing out to one of our many delectable local restaurants. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the guests. The Greenleaf Inn has an unwavering ability to attract the kindest, most genuine people who have a way of quickly becoming family. The wonderful experiences that I have, somehow, been privileged enough to gain through working with these amazing people has always my favorite part of spending my summers at the Greenleaf. Thank you for being so kind, considerate, and understanding, especially as the inn transitioned into a post-pandemic new normal with a fraction of its staff. You made my summers unforgettable. It pains me to say goodbye to the best place that I’ve ever had the honor of managing. Do yourself a massive favor and step back in time to relax at this magnificent inn where you will be treated like family by the owner and staff, no matter who you are or where you come from.

We booked at the last minute so we didn’t get a room with a view but it turned out to be very convenient because it was near the parking and near the breakfast area which did have wonderful views and near the office and we didn’t have to climb stairs. Ben was always ready to help, and gave great advice on restaurants and hikes and also made us reservations on a schooner and the boat to Mohegan island. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and we met others who are staying there and enjoyed their company. Breakfast was pretty substantial considering it was a continental breakfast usually with an egg dish plus always granola and yogurt and sometimes something sweet. Plus there was fruit available in between times and really nice hot water for tea and coffee plus ice. I really like the position of this hotel because it is past all the downtown traffic on a one-way street, yet he is central to everything. The bed was really comfortable. I like king-size beds and they are often hard to find.

Last minute trip to see some friends and we were lucky to fine a place to stay. Room was small, but very comfortable. Staff and breakfast were great. Overall they need to do a little more maintenance and updating.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a room with a great view and private entrance. Emily and the rest of the staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was minimal, but fine. This was our first time in Boothbay Harbor. Parking was a plus. I would definitely return.

Spent three nights at The Admiral’s Quarters Inn, Boothbay Harbor, Maine! Overall the Inn looked nothing like advertised! Room 15 looked like it hadn’t been refreshed in years … wall paint was dingy, carpeting was filthy and the windows were in need of attention! Also, it was advertised that the room had a private balcony which it did not! On checkout day we went in town for breakfast because on the previous two mornings breakfast was no where near what one might expect at an Inn. On a positive note the bed was comfortable and the view was very nice! I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the hostess, Emily, who was very helpful and charming … Thank you, Emily, it was a pleasure meeting you! ** TripAdvisor is doing its reader base a disservice by giving this Inn such a high yet outdated rating! TA should take another look at it ASAP!

Bed: firm but comfortable Pillow: all moderate fill, too firm for my liking Lighting: somewhat dim, mainly free standing lamps, but many windows for natural light during the day Water pressure: great Hot water: spotty or finicky, never cold but sometimes warm and sometimes extremely hot, non adjustable sheer head Shower curtain: bowed rod provides more shower space Exhaust fan in bathroom: good, switch controlled Cleanliness/upkeep: good cleanliness, but does need attention having an aged lived in look with, dents/scratches/dings…holes in furniture/paint peeling… sound proofing: not great, old building, but the area is quite quiet and the other guests were quiet too Thermostat controls: good a/c once you figure out the remote works ceilings units in both rooms but needs to be used in between them WiFi: good Alarm clock: none Tv: smallest flatscreen tvs I have seen since they came out, probably 13” or something similar, very small Room layout: ok Elevators: none, need to lug your bags up the steps Info in room: none Parking: good, parking is hard to find and this location is excellent for parking and walking the area Misc: check in and check out was a breeze. Friendly and helpful staff with local recommendations. Disappointed breakfast is no longer anything special, just continental self serve yogurt with granola, boiled eggs, fruit, a muffin, coffee tea water coke and oj.

Nice Inn perfectly located. Very comfortable rooms. Great friendly staff. Ample parking right on site. But so close to everything you don’t need your car. Emily was so friendly and available if we had any questions. Highly recommend this for anyone coming to Boothbay.

I hope that everyone is doing great, and how can we not after such an amazing visit at this beautiful and sweet place. I highly recommend it, both of the guest houses of the hotel are well maintained, Ben is a great host and infinitely kind, the breakfast was very gurme and delicious, the maybe the chef is a 5-star michelin chef, the view from all of the rooms is to the blue ocean and the harbor, the nature in the area is amazing! Everyone should visit this place, because for me it remains a beautiful memory that I will remember for a lifetime! I cannot find words to describe this adventure, you can do a lot of activities in the region, and Ben will help you to make your stay at this town unbeliveble fun and unforgetable. Greetings, -Bo for Ben, Ben

We spent 2 nights at the Greenleaf/Admirals Inn. The Innkeepers are very accommodating and friendly. Check in was a breeze as they texted us along the way for approximate arrival time.Ben personally gave a great tour of the common areas and took us to our very clean room in Admirals Quarters. Room 12 has 2 lovely bedrooms located on 2 floors, along with 2 outdoor patios to enjoy the views of the bay. We enjoyed the delivered breakfast, homemade muffins, yogurt and fruit. Coffee pods are plentiful in our room and also in common area. Boothbay is such a wonderful, peaceful town and this Inn is like the icing on the cake!
