We had two wonderful nights at Captain Sawyer's Bed and Breakfast. This B&B is in the perfect location. So many great restaurants within walking distance, as well as the piers and shops. The B&B itself is lovely and the inn keepers, Ceire and Keith, are delightful. We arrived early on our check-in day and we so appreciated being able to park at the B&B and walk to the pier for our scheduled harbor cruise. The breakfasts were delicious and the room very comfortable. We look forward to staying there again on our next trip to Boothbay Harbor.

This place is wonderfully convenient and charming with lovely innkeepers who are very personable and who aim to please. There are nice touches such as comfy robes, afternoon freshly baked cookies, and bottles of water in the rooms. Breakfasts are wonderful. Bed and linens were very comfortable. Because the building is old ( hence its charm) rooms have no closets and electric outlets are hard to come by for charging and other needs such as CPAP or sound machines for sleeping. There is a bit of a musty odor in at least one part of the building which the owners should address. Nevertheless, we would stay here again.

Stayed with family a few weekdays at the end of August. Great location within easy walk of everything in downtown Boothbay Harbor, very comfortable beds. Would gladly stay again.
We were the only people there (4 of us) on our second morning, and the innkeeper made a breakfast suggestion since it was just us. I won't say what it was, it wasn't fancy, but it was very nice. If you can manage to be there when it's not too busy, and the innkeeper makes a breakfast suggestion, just go with it and trust her. It will be great.

This B&B is in the heart of town It's easy to walk everywhere or catch a trolley from here. It's more old than quaint, yet they had Frette robes (no slippers) and towels, and C.O. Bigelow soap + Terra Pure shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer! The bed and pillows were comfortable. Our second floor room was mostly clean; the baseboards and back of the tv could use a dusting. There were plenty of hooks and a cabinet with drawers in the bedroom, but just one hook in the bathroom and no closets. It had a window a/c unit so we couldn't open the window. The room also had a slight musty smell. There was a tv with cable, but no alarm clock nor phone for emergencies. There was just one free outlet, but they lent us an extension cord. When we arrived, there were two bottles of water and mints in the room. The water was not replaced, but the towels were replaced upon request. The steps up to the second floor were high and steep. In the lobby, tea, coffee, and apples were available all day. In the afternoon there were freshly baked cookies. Breakfast was served (tablecloths and fine china) and different everyday. Our breakfasts included yogurt, fresh fruit; eggs benedict, French toast and bacon, or quiche and potatoes. There is an outside deck with seating and parking in back.

The inn is just as advertised, a historic charming home with all the comforts you could expect. The inn keepers really make this place all the more cozy and accommodating! They are a young family and you won’t find anyone as sincere and friendly as them! They made healthy and tasteful breakfasts each morning and welcomed any requests you could ask for. Truly a hidden treasure in this picturesque town!

We stayed four nights and had a great experience! Our room (Heritage) was on the second floor facing the harbor and there was a shared deck right outside our door where you could sit in morning or evening. The breakfasts were delicious and there was good variety. The hosts were outstanding: helpful, thoughtful, fun to chat with. Critiques are minimal - our room did not have a closet but had tons of drawer space and a coat rack to hang a couple of items. Shower was small (phone booth style) but the tub was large and had nice bath salts. Would definitely recommend and return for another visit - hopefully soon. Thank you!

My husband and I stayed at Captain Sawyer's Bed and Breakfast for 3 days in July, 2021. We had a wonderful stay! The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were just magnificent. The location is right in the heart of Boothbay harbor and we often left the car parked at the B&B and walked to restaurants and activities. Speaking of the car, it is a HUGE plus that the onsite parking is directly behind the B&B in the back, tucked away from the street activities, and thus very private. Many thanks to Jo and Teava for a beautiful stay.

Lovely historic Captain's home overlooking Boothbay harbor. Our upstairs suite had a king sized bed that was beyond comfortable with a selection of pillows and a comfortable seating area with loveseat and rocking chairs. The balcony had wicker chairs that faced Commercial St and had a view of the harbor from two sides. It was bright and cheerful but had light blocking ability if one wanted to sleep in. The breakfast was different each morning and all were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would choose it again.

Lovely B&B in downtown Boothbay with cruise tours, lovely shops, and restaurants within a 2-minute walking distance. Homemade breakfasts and afternoon treats were amazing and different every day. Bed was comfortable, and our room had a view of the harbor. Inn is decorated with artwork that is for sale--some of the best artwork I saw on our trip. Convenient parking in back of Inn. I would definitely recommend Ports Of Italy andwhich is right next door to Captain Sawyer's and the Harborside Inn and new Harborside Treats located on the side of the Harborside 1901 restaurant. Just sitting on the large front porch with the view of the bay was a lovely way to spend time.

Captain Sawyer’s is close to shopping, restaurants and we were able to walk around town and not worry about parking. We stayed in the Heritage room which was a larger room and on the 2nd floor. Outside our room was access to the balcony where we enjoyed drinks with a great view of the water. The Inn was very cozy and quiet. Jo and Rachel were fantastic making sure every detail was taken care of. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the homemade pastries were an extra treat!
