We loved this cabin stay. It had the comfort of a hotel but the feeling of summer camp and our toddler had a blast! We would definitely return. Breakfast buffet was great as well! Our only wish was that breakfast went until 10 or 10:30 so people have the option to get a slow start. We loved this place! The price was also great- wonderful value.

This was my second stay since May this year and it was wonderful yet again. My husband and I stayed in the Mulberry cottage this time with our two dogs. Fortunately one of the staff saved us, as we were originally booked in a cottage that was not dog friendly and shifted us to another cottage that was available. This staff member was so pleasant and professional during my last stay as well, I wish I could give him proper credit, but he is from Orlando and working for the year with your hotel.
The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean, with plenty of amenities and the staff is so welcoming to us and our dogs. It is so rare to find hotels that still provide daily servicing of the guest rooms. We are both chefs, having worked in various hotels and restaurants for the past 25-30 years. Typically hotel restaurants are not known for having the best restaurants, but the restaurant here is exceptional. We ate dinner there twice and had breakfast each morning. Dinner was delicious and my husband and I laughed at how good the breakfast buffet eggs were. Seriously, I don’t think my husband has ever gone back for a second serving of eggs. It sounds so funny to say it, but something so simple usually does not taste THAT GOOD! Service in the restaurant for each meal was exceptional as well.
Thank you for another great stay!

Wow, thank you! How wonderful that you were able to stay with us twice this season, and even bring your 'whole' family - we love our four-legged friends! We will be certain to pass along your raving reviews of the on-site restaurant to our Chef - after all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Hope to see you again on your next visit to Boothbay Harbor!

I can finally recommend LBR again. They are much more organized this year and have invested in the property. I am so glad Covid is in the rear view mirror; you could feel that Boothbay was back. I was skeptical of the amenity fee and would prefer to see the entire cost up front. However, this extra cost was worth it to not have to pay for sailing and other extras. This is the only property where guests can easily access day sailing vessels, much less at this cost generally. Moreover, there are lots of activities. Additional cabins have been upgraded. Overall, the staff is improved, though I would like to see more expertise and safety experience at the sail shack. Looking forward to getting back next summer if not this fall.

I booked Linekin about a year before our trip, so I had read all the reviews and thought I was prepared. Initial communication with the resort was excellent. Boothbay itself is a stunning town and the views are amazing. We checkin around 8 pm (we flew so had no control over checkin), the person at the front desk was trying to leave for the evening so we just got our keys and went on our way. We stayed in Starboard B, lovely cottage, had AC and it was close to everything. I noticed a housekeeping envelope in the room, I always tip the housekeeper, I dropped a 20 in the envelope and we went on our way for the day. In the morning when we could see, the views were great! Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The Pool was the highlight, great views, slat water, poolside service. It was very family oriented. What was bad you ask? Housekeeping never came, not to empty the trash (I emptied it myself and walked it to the dumpster on the grounds), not to bring fresh towels (we used the same ones the entire stay), not to sweep the sand off the floor..nothing. I called the front desk several times with no answer so I just gave up and took my $20 back! I like ice....the only way you can get ice is to get it from the bar...cool. The bar closes at 8, so if you need ice after that, you are SOL. In order to eat lunch or dinner at he restaurant you had to have reservations (mind you there were hardly any people in there) it was ridiculous. As we checked out I asked about housekeeping or lack there of, the front desk person pointed to a sign, with the smallest font ever it stated "housekeeping upon request" ...could that have maybe been in the rooms? Would I go back to Boothbay? Absolutely! Would I stay here again? Absolutely not.

We rented the 6 bedroom East Lodge for 5 nights with our family of 5 adults and 5 kids to celebrate my 70th. It was perfect for our group -- even had King beds for all of the adult couples which can be hard to find in large rentals. We loved the big porch with the amazing water view and all of the onsite amenities. The kids enjoyed the daily buffet breakfast and, of course, the salt water pool. We took out kayaks, tried paddle boarding, played pickleball, took a harbor cruise, rode the free trolley into town, cooked in, and ate at the resort restaurant. It was the perfect location for our family reunion. Only problem -- now everyone wants to go again next year!

The LBR waterfront is absolutely gorgeous and loaded with amenities like sailing (at a reasonable cost), canoeing, swimming, etc. The accommodations vary are rustic, mostly without AC. It is family friendly and you will hear children constantly. Breakfast is included, consisting of eggs, bacon, bread, etc. Town is close and packed with shopping, dining, and public boat options. If you are expecting a “resort,” look elsewhere; this is an outdoors-focused camp-like experience.

This Resort is absolutely exceptional. A great Maine harbor location within 5 minute drive of fabulous Boothbay Harbor and the Resort is situated right on its own private waterfront. there are a plethora of activities for fair weather or foul, including a Kids camp for the youngsters and a wonderful sea water pool, tennis courts, sailing and kayaking and marvelous launch excursions to Ocean Point to visit the seals. The real home-style gourmet breakfasts are included and they have two superb dining areas both right on the water with lobster feasts every week. We made some interesting new friends and can easily pass up more exotic locations to enjoy this ultimate place closer to home.

We rented the 6 bedroom five bath home, it was very clean and had the best view of all the rentals. The resort has kayaking, fishing polls for fishing, small sail boats for those who know how to sail. They offer free daily cruises and sailing lessons so be sure to ask. There is no beach to walk along which was disappointing. We walked to the little downtown area which was about 1.5 miles, it was a really enjoyable walk. There is not a whole of things to do, we did a couple boat cruises and some of our clan went on the whale watch. We did shop in all the quant little shops. I would recommend a long weekend or if your into a relaxing time maybe a week, three days would be perfect.

We hope that you were able to dine with us at our on-site restaurant and bar, the Deck Bar & Grill, overlooking the bay and islands! Our extended family reunion of 22 spent the third week of July 2024 at this beautiful place that was everything we hoped for and more than we knew to expect. We came from six states — Virginia, Florida, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois and Oregon — and for most of us it was our first time visiting Maine. Some of us had rooms, some of us had cabins and the accommodations were first rate. We took advantage of many amenities on the resort — sailing, kayaking, pickleball, the game room, even the regatta and Trivia Night — and loved having the full breakfast available each day. It was an easy 10-minute drive to Boothbay Harbor and was nice to have the shuttle available if we needed it. The staff was friendly at every turn. And those hydrangeas! Would love to return someday.

, We were traveling by sailboat hoping to get to Rockland, Maine when our plans changed because of fog. We were able to rent a mooring and we were so happy we did. Linekin Bay Resort is a hidden gem! Our mooring rental included use of the pool, water toys, launch service, and buffet breakfast. There is a nice restaurant located there also and we enjoyed our dinner there. The staff is friendly and helpful and the resort is a great place to stay!

I did not see any designated public smoking areas during our visit. There are a lot of nice outdoor seating areas and some areas perched on the hillside overlooking the water, all pretty isolated. I’m personally not a smoker, but I don’t know if these areas are part of their designation as public.
