I tried to book for June for our 4th annual girls weekend. The hotel has changed ownership and now provides only King beds in all of their rooms. Besides our girls weekend, my husband and I have been staying at the Rocktide for 10 years. The changes are overpriced and not very accommodating unless you are a couple. All done.....

We have been staying here for almost 15 years. I called because I received an email about new ownership. We always booked a waterview room. The rates went up over $100 a night, free breakfast is gone, 10% off dinner is gone, POOL is not open this year, and my guess, it won't be at all. This is a golf...

I am attending a wedding in Boothbay Harbor in May 2017. I made a reservation at Rocktide Inn which was one of the recommended motels. After I had made my reservation the hotel was sold and the new owners refused to honor the contract. Instead they raised the price by $40 a night. When I complained the new owners without...

In January we booked 3 nights at the Rocktide and received a confirmation email. We just received an email from the new owners. It explained all of the changes including the increase in rates. I called the hotel and spoke to the employee. I said I had a confirmation letter with the old rates and asked if they would honor...

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour of New England. Our first impressions were of an attractive hotel in lovely surroundings overlooking the harbour. However on entering the reception area I was completely ignored by the middle aged man and woman on duty. I stood there awkwardly until the guy glanced up and merely said 'Checking...

It was not what I was expecting, but was very pleasant. There are steps. Lots and lots of steps....wooden steps. The room was very comfortable and clean. We were there at the "end of the season" for a wedding so I have no idea of what it would have been like earlier in the summer. The funny part was that...

Rocktide Inn is a great place to stay to have the best view of the town & harbor!! Watching the boats come & go!! BOOTHBAY harbor, Maine is my favorite place to visit!! This was our 2nd visit & we'd go back again! This Inn isn't posh or 1st class but we love our stays😊

This hotel looked good on the Tripadvisor site and the reviews seemed OK. It is on the "wrong side" of the harbor, but we understood that there was a footbridge across the water to access the main town on the other side. Upon arrival we found that the bridge was closed. Not the fault of the hotel, of course. What...

Clean. Could use some refurbishment. Convenient to town when the footbridge is open. Closes for the winter. Excellent hot breakfast with omlette station. Can't "not recommend" it, although there may be better choices in the area.
