We are visiting Boothbay Harbor for the first time and are so glad we got to visit the spa at this gorgeous picturesque resort. We had appointments for massages and pedicures at the spa and could not have asked to be treated more hospitably. Sue was my massage therapist (miracle worker) and of all the massages I've gotten in my... More

My husband and I spent a night at SPI before picking up the kids from camp in ME. We stayed in the main inn that was described to me as "charming" and "romantic" at booking. While the ocean view was beautiful, the inn is in major need of updating. Our room and bathroom looked straight from the 60s, extremely simple... More

Overall we loved this resort- great for family bonding time. The only big issue I had was with a double hold on my credit card for the remaining balance when we checked out. One charge hold- eventually fell off after 5-6 days, however, this was not our final stop-- making it inconvenient. Wi-fi was slow, but hey, you are on... More

Authentic New England inn in lovely location. Great staff. But needs some updating. The townhouse we stayed in was not in good shape. Especially lower level where all the bedroom and bathrooms are located. The whole level was damp and smelled of mildew. The resort itself is very rustic and quaint - feels like summer camp. But all the amenities and... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us for four nights in August in Townhouse 8A. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the location and service. Townhouse 8A interior was just refreshed in 2014. The guest room porches received fresh paint and new Adirondack chairs this Spring. I'll definitely check the unit the first chance I can --- it is... More

While staying in New England for the summer we made a stop in Boothbay Harbor. Stayed four nights at Spruce Point Inn. What a wonderful place; I could have gladly stayed for a month! Incredible views of ocean and harbor area. We stayed in Seabreeze Cottage for the waterfront views. The room is like a small suite; seating area, large... More

the room was alright but very noisy being on the bottom level - the staff in both the restaurants and at the front office were snooty and disrespectful - the grounds were ok but not what was expected for such a pricey resort - the game room looked like an old junk yard and neither of the pools were very... We had a great week at SPI! From the accommodations to the food to the activities, we could not have been happier. The best part of the stay was the staff! They were without exception helpful, friendly, cheerful and genuinely cared that we were having fun, especially for our children. The resort is close enough to Boothbay Harbor to walk... More

Quick review....Clean, Great views. Nice, friendly and attentive staff. Great for couples and family. A lot to do on property including easy hiking trails, kayaks, paddle boards, boat rides, bikes, 2 pools, hot tubs, nightly campfire with s'mores, game room, tennis, etc. No extra charges. Was told they were booked... it didn't seem like it as it doesn't feel crowded. Everything... More

The rooms in the inn are fine, service ok, pool crowded and small and whole inn a bit overpriced for what it is. Like other such Maine resorts suffers from a certain fatigue (muffins run out by 8am) with lackluster dining in enclosed setting: why no outdoor seating? Towels elaborately folded so you have to dirty all to get to... More

The location is ideal. The people working there are all extremely nice and gracious, especially to the children. It was easy to get to Boothbay downtown from there. We did not use their boat or shuttle as the timing was always off plus we combined other sightseeing in there as well. We only ate at the Bogie's restaurant the first... More
