I book our group here for 12 rooms when we stay in Blue Hill. Duncan, the manager, let us bring in our dinners both nights of our stay. With COVID concerns this was FANTASTIC. The breakfasts are great. The rooms are clean. Although some of the rooms had some temperature issues with cold air blasting when air conditioning was needed.
Great location within walking distance of town. Nice tasty breakfast. Very large room. Duncan was very helpful with dining suggestions and shopping for gifts. Beautiful well kept house on a nice side street.
The best B &B !! Everything perfect! Close to Acadia national park ad other locations. Sara and Mary were so helpful in suggesting where to go and supplying us with maps etc. I cld not imagine staying anywhere else… thank you Sara and Mary for making this trip so special!! We will be back…
We were delighted to return to the Blue Hill Inn for another lovely stay. If you are looking for a quiet, elegant rooms, and access to the very best part of the Maine coast, this is your place. We spent two rainy nights and as always, the staff went out of the way to make us feel at home. Coffee, tea, wine, beer, and cookies are always on offer. Breakfast is the best! We especially appreciated attention to masking and other Covid protocols. Thank you Duncan, Sarah, and everyone else we met at the inn on this visit. We hope next time, it will be without masks!
First, I have to say that I didn't really follow all of the said rules of a B&B versus a regular hotel. I came in late and left early after one night. I didn't really have time to mingle with other guests, but maybe next time. I was very, very impressed with breakfast. Homemade, delicious, local ingredients and the server that was very attentive. Coffee was excellent too. Duncan, the innkeeper, was very warm and friendly. However, I was not a fan of the room I stayed (#2). It lacked modern amenities like a fridge and TV. There was no fan (ac was probably already taken out) and the heat was on for some reason when it was not that cold out. So I was very warm all night (finally I turned the heater off). Shower had one temperature: scaling hot. Could not figure out how to dial it back a bit. So I didn't get a lot of sleep but the breakfast almost made up for it. I also should mention, their was a small fridge for guests downstairs in the parlor but it was filled with drinks of other guests, I could barely fit 2 waterbottles in there.…
We have visited the Blue Hill Inn many times. This was special because of the need to get away because of Covid 19. We were not disappointed with our visit. Always a place we can call home. The owner has taken all necessary precautions in order to have everyone safe. They have also kept the property top notch.
We stayed for three nights using it as a base for visiting friends. Can't say enough good things about the innkeeper, the room, the food, the facilities and the employees. A fantastic stay. Would recommend for anyone visiting the Deer Isle, Sedgwick, and Brooksville area.
We were here recently for a one night stay in November. Duncan, the owner, was super friendly, the room was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. They do not do a full hot breakfast off-season, but the yogurt, fruit, granola and muffins were delightful.
All that I could of asked for and more. Walking in on a cold night to a wonderful warm fire. The staff was so welcoming. The rooms were not big but quiet and well maintained. The nightly turndown of my bed felt decadent. The breakfast was wonderful. I can not speak more highly of this Inn. It was a great stay. Thank you.
