This was a great experience, start to finish. From making my reservation to arriving late to a warm welcome, to comfortable accommodations to an amazing (and unexpected) breakfast, this was a great choice. It's conveniently located near Sunday River with very friendly staff. As far as a ski area inn goes, this is a 5 star. Beds were comfortable, linens... More

We have been coming here to ski with Maine Adaptive and Camp No Limits for many years in a row. The same staff is still here and they are incredibly attentive and caring. They remember our son and whatever we need, they have a smile on their face. When we leave and come back, they gratuitously greet us. The entire... More

We arrived with a group for a ski weekend rather late and found ourselves warmly greeted. The rooms are quite comfortable - ours was particularly large as we had the room at the end of the hall that was handicapped accessible. Other than the rooms being a little dark, they were fine. Definitely generous with bath products. Technically you can... More

This was my first ski inn experience, and it was absolutely wonderful. We drove up 5 hours from CT and the staff was so friendly that they let us check in early, and left breakfast out for us as well. The Inn is what you make out of it. We skied all day, came back to the inn, brought our... More

The best place and the most awesome people running the Inn. I am a season ski pass holder for Sunday River. I have stayed at both hotels and a condo and am now staying at the Snow Cap Inn. As a season pass holder we get a special rate for any of the hotels. The Snow Cap Inn is well... More

Pro: awesome staff - Sue was super helpful and patient - close to mountain, good value if proximity to mntn is critical to you, very basic breakfast included. Con: loud college groups, very dated everything, loud inefficient heating system, sketchy bedding, uncomfortable bed, weird bathroom/sink layout. We booked our stay here last minute w/o doing research. When arrived to a... More

I was worried about the place based on all the neg reviews. Ok, the bathroom is tiny, but not really a big deal. The sink is outside the bathroom.. The room is on the small side but adequate. I tested the heater when we first checked in and it is about as noisy as an a/c wall unit would be..... More

This is an economy lodge with some nice touches. That's about it. If they upgraded the bedding, the noisy heater probably wouldn't be so noticeable. Staff are friendly, the fireside sofas are nice, you can get tea/coffee/iced water 24/7, the hot tub is a nice touch. The rooms are fine but basic. My main complaint was that the pillows STANK...
