Snow Cap Inn was open off season, especially for the RiverRock Music Festival July 7 & 8. It was comfortable and adequate for our needs. The corner room for the three of us adults was spacious with extra room for a small couch. The staff...More
My wife was doing a PSIA test here and the weather was absolutely horrible. Despite living relatively locally to Sunday River, we decided to just stay here to avoid her driving back and forth the two days in the inclement and icy weather.
We checked in early, got a great room, clean, nice lobby, friendly people and very close to the ski resort, all for a very low price of $118 at peak season. The value is superb here considering the slopeside units were double to triple the...More
Came midweek, needed something inexpensive and close to the mountain never expected it to be this nice and the hotel to be so accommodating. Minutes to the skilifts with shuttle. The rooms are a little on the small side but it makes up for the...More
Very happy with my recent stay at the Snow Cap Inn. With it being a pet friendly property, I was a little worried about pet hair and odors before my arrival. When entering the room, I noticed it smelled clean and there was not a...More

The rooms are clean and they do provide adequate towels and clean lines. However, to echo another comment made the heating system is ancient and if extremely dry air coupled with noise loud enough to drown out a reasonable volume on the TV bothers you, I would pick another spot on the mountain. I stayed twice in this 2014-2015 season and I will never stay there again because of the noise and they tiny bathroom when sharing a room with friends. We will be back this weekend and we are renting a condo which has a small kitchen and you can ski out to the mountain. the overall cost difference was less than $75pp for a weekend. The common areas are okay but small so expect to share them with several other guests.
