We decided at the last minute to spend a night in Bath, ME on our way home from St. John, NB. Found Kennebec Inn on Trip Advisor. Rachel, the proprieter, could not have been more welcoming. Just from a phone call, she held a room for us and was waiting on the front porch when we arrived. She is the... More

The house in gorgeous, the town is adorable, Rachel is the perfect host, and the breakfast was the best I have ever experienced! We drove up from Mississippi, and she gave us a good list of suggestions for attractions in the area and made us feel so at home. I cannot say enough about our positive experience at the Kennebec... What can be said about the Kennebec Inn except it was extraordinary! Our hostess, Rachel was amazing....friendly, accomodating, and an amazing cook. When we arrived , our room was already cleaned and waiting for us...even though it was near noon. Rachel procceded to lavish us with flyers and maps...explaining the town and the surroundings to us in length....this was so... More

We stayed two nights at the beginning of this week and were very impressed. We were family of three in the Captain Perkins room which is large and beautifully furnished in keeping with the whole inn. The breakfasts are excellent and the chocolate chip cookies are not to be missed. Rachel is a charming and very efficient host.

Rachel was a superb hostess and made us feel right at home. The Captain Reed Room was very spacious and private (just watch those steep stairs). The home has been beautifully remodeled and is charming. Breakfast was delicious and presented very nicely. Enjoyable stay here.

My husband and I stayed here after a day at Boothbay Harbor. What a jewel! Rachel, the Innkeeper, is precious and very knowledgeable of not only Bath but quite a few other of the cities around Bath. She was very helpful. We were greeted with homemade chocolate chip cookies in our room. We would have loved to spend more time... More

Rachel is an excellent host, so warm and personable. We stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer in Bath which is a lovely place. Our room was large and comfortable and the chocolate chip cookies, mentioned by a previous reviewer, are superb. Breakfast is excellent and includes more home baked products...just make sure you stay at least... More

We were traveling to Northern Maine and didn't want to stay in a hotel chain or drive far off the highway. The Kennebec Inn was a very comfortable and hospitable place to stay. The owner was very friendly and gave us several suggestions for dinner.

We wanted to make a pilgrimage to LL Bean for a holiday shopping spree, but wanted to stay somewhere that was away from the touristy bustle of Freeport. The website looked good so I took a chance and booked the Remington Room at the Kennebec Inn in Bath, about 15-20 minutes north of Freeport. It was a good choice. The... More
