We think the hotel was previously an old folks home. The bathroom had a sliding partition door and a lot of grab rails. This would not be a problem had they given everything a clean and a coat of paint. It's hard not to use the word disgusting so how about grubby? The sink in the bathroom would drain, eventually. The sheets had stains, although they were different colours which added some flair. I think the carpet was new ... in 1970. The only redeeming qualities were the breakfast, which was really quite well done and the staff were friendly. For the price I was expecting something quite good, we stayed at a Hampton the next night for about 15% more and it was great.
Staff was courteous and professional, most important our room was clean, the bed and bedding was comfortable, the area was quiet and seemed safe and plenty of parking is available. No complaints, only stayed one night.
PRICE GOUGING Booked months ago upon arrival was told the Gov.rate only applied to US Govt.Ok no prob please add the 35% on to the bill. Nope. Had to re book so now the bill went from 274US TO 458 US. In on July 2 out July4 We will never be back . PRICE GOUGING AT ITS FINEST
This hotel is in need of updating, but it was a simple and clean stay. The bed was comfortable and the flatscreen tv was decent sized. There was a table and chair, as well as a wardrobe (no closet). The bathroom was small, toilet and bath/shower, with the sink and vanity outside the bathroom itself. This worked for us, as one person could brush their teeth while the other showered, but it is an old set up. The breakfast was okay, with standard juice, coffee/tea, cereal, waffles and bread/muffins. The breakfast room was small, with nowhere to sit and eat. Decent place for the price.
During the pandemic I understood the closure of the hot breakfast bar. At this point they have not brought it back. The facilities are looking more run down, It will be a while before I will stay here again.
We travel full-time and live in hotels and it's beyond me HOW this property has such a high rating here!!! The lobby wasn't bad as far as presentation and feel, but once you get beyond that, the entire place is pretty dirty and dingy. The halls smell like urine or something unpleasant. The room is livable and mostly clean, but certainly not worth the $100 per night fee. The WiFi is atrocious (it's taken about 5 minutes to get this review section to load properly) and the breakfast is meh with the stuff you'd probably want already gone by 8 am. We've stayed at "lesser" brands and had way better experiences and rooms. If you're just needing a room to crash and need to save money, this might work well for you. If you're looking for a relaxing experience or business work place, don't book this hotel.…
Although this location needs updating, I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was very clean, and the bed was not uncomfortably hard. It was a good place for our explatory trip. There is a good restaurant in the same lot, and th snacks are huge.
The place was not clean. Pubic hair on the bathroom floors, unidentifiable stains on the carpet, smelled of cigarette smoke. Would not recommend. The hotel could have potential if they would replace the carpet and pull the wallpaper off of the walls..at least then it wouldn't smell or look so bad. We would have gone somewhere else if all hotels weren't booked due to college move in week. What made the stay here even worse is that we paid $250 per night when it is worth maybe $50 per night.
Room at the end of the hall where construction was happening. Hall looked to be doing base paint work that up that was in progress. Back entry door did not lock so anyone could come in as they pleased. We were charged $187 plus taxes and I see prices listed for $117. There is not a "hot breakfast" as advertised - just a toaster, frig, and a microwave for bagels, bars and yogurt. People hanging out smoking at the back door. We made the reservation via Travelocity. Go somewhere else.
This hotel is very reasonably priced. Close to the airport and downtown Bangor. Our room was very clean, clean shower, clean bedding, and clean towels. We thought the beds were very comfy. The room itself definitely checked all of our boxes. However, the outside of this hotel needs some definite work. Once you pull up, it def gives you a bad vibe. There was a bunch of broken glass in the parking lot and cigarettes which is probably the fault of the clientele but still. The area itself is somewhat sketchy but once we were in the hotel I was satisfied. Hotel hallways could be kept up a little better. Not a bad stay, not the best either, but it does the job. I would say we were satisfied with the hotel based on the good price. (One night, 2 queen beds for $206 on a Wednesday night). Not sure how the breakfast or other amenities were because we didn’t check them out.…
