On a long road trip with our teenage daughter, with no overnight reservations planned in advance, we searched near New Orleans for a decent place to spend the night. Expecting to find the usual highway hotels, this popped up online and it looked beautiful. We decided to go a little ways off our path to explore it and try something...

the staff members where polite and knowledgeable; restaurant had lovely atmosphere and gummy food; the grounds and gardens were an absolute delight to explore; the balcony porch was divine with a glass of wine at sunset and coffee in the morning.

We stayed in one of the lovely cottages overlooking the beautiful landscape and pond. The cottages have front porches with rocking chairs, so we were thrilled to be able to sit outside and enjoy the weather, serenity and view. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and lunch in a beautiful area of the dining room where tables are set along a...

We had the honeymoon suite in the bottom of the boy's wing. Too bad it was too cold to use the pool. Would have been nice if they had a float to lay on water. Restaurant was excellent, but expensive at night so we ventured out and had some fun, local meals nearby. TV never worked right, but we fixed...

This beautiful antebellum mansion was definitely worth a stay. The grounds are well kept and the house is stunning. If you're staying in the mansion you are allowed to roam freely through any of the open rooms in the house (which was most of the house as only a few rooms were closed). We also took part in a tour...

A great historical place to stay when visiting Louisiana and interested in the history of the State. Departure location for several tour such as swamp tour or plantation visits. Dependancies are very confortable and a good place to rest.

The property was very nice. Our food was cold at dinner and breakfast. Management really is lacking to make this a memorable experience. We felt the staff tried, but were not teained wel. Attention to detail was missing throughout, from dead bugs in the lights in our room to cold coffee to cold biscuits to no jelly or jam for...

When we checked in a dear sweet little girl greeted us. She was clearly in over her head and knew very little about the establishment. We asked about dining and she got confused. She pointed out our room in "the boys wing" attached to the main building and told us it was on the second floor. When we asked if...

Absolutely Fantastic!!! Couldn't have been better unless we would have seen a ghost! The restaurant was superb! The rosemary bread and cane butter was to die for. So much so, we purchased 4 loaves and a pint of butter to take home. Best snapper I ever ate, and my husband (a gourmet) said his steak was perfect. Spectacular views from...

The cottage was terrific. Spacious bedroom and double sinks in the bathroom. Cottage was quiet and nicely appointed. Only recommendation is to make sure the outside furniture is free of spider webs and provide guests with dining and checkout times
