I would NEVER recommend that anyone stay here. Housekeeping banging at the door at 930AM when checkout is supposed to be at 11AM. I didn't mind too much, but when I went to the desk to inquire, an extremely rude, nonchalant, OWNER did not even APOLOGIZE for it, instead tried to argue with ME. Not to mention he Completely ridiculous! He does NOT care about customer service, just another money hungry scoundrel with shady business practices. He acted like I was someone off the street, treated me like trash. I was appalled. $80 a night for a dingy, worn down and outdated room in Marrero. Not worth it at all. Do NOT waste your money here, please. HORRIBLE! There's a Best Western right down the street, try your luck there.
I stayed here one night and my arm is covered in bites. I'm not saying they have a bug problem but they might. I made 4 trips to the office because the keycard was either not programed right or the door was broken. After a room switch it did the same thing which was another 3 trips to the office until the receptionist unlocked it with the master after trying another programed card. Bathtub/shower was nice with a shampoo and body wash dispenser glued onto it. The bed had cigarette burns all over it and the comforter and only some of the pillows smelled like they were actually cleaned. The door barely closed and you could still see the outside through the cracks along the door. Even on high the ac didn't blow very hard. Probably won't be staying again.
The bad. Hole in ceiling, stain in carpet, toilet running told to fix ignored, diverter stuck in shower,1 day no towels, reader card for door keeps not working,no management available just person in office to tell you they will pass it on,not the cleanest place, grime of the phone handle The good, close to gas station, waffle house,store,15 minutes to the french quarter
Honestly I've stayed in better hotels for less money. The room was large, the beds were fairly comfortable and the bathroom had just enough towels. The entire place is a little dated and there was no breakfast offered with the room. There is also no restaurants within walking distance. There apparently was a wrestling show (WWE) in town, so rooms were at a premium. The staff were friendly enough. If the price were a little lower, this might be a great option, but like I said at the beginning...I've stayed in better for less.
I stayed here because I needed to leave my house for a couple of days plus I live in chalmette but from the westbank and wanted to stay where I felt would be like home by the way I am a housekeeper so I check for different things it was hair and dirty linen I called front desk and they moved my room and guess what more hair but over all I guess it was a nice stay
