This place has to be one of the best places on earth! Matt and Amy were wonderful people to meet! Jon's margaritas were amazing! We want more than just a return visit. To step out and away from stressful hustle and bustle of city life was incredible. Thank you and we will be back!

Matt and Amy as well as all of the volunteer's (John and Amanda whom we got to know pretty well) were spectacular and very helpful with tips, pointers, and directions for exciting hikes and adventures. Finca Bellavista is the best spot in Southern Costa Rica! Being sustainable and a treetop house community makes it unique! There is no other destination quite like it in the whole country! From the very start, the staff was friendly and we felt very welcome. A bag of fresh produce and grains for $20 fed me and my daughter for... More

We stayed at Fila Tortuga, it has no electricity, however it has 2 private bathrooms and one outdoor shower. (Showering in the middle of the jungle was AMAZING). This place is so beautiful, peaceful, extreme, fun..... just great! You have to be in good physical shape as you will be hiking a lot, also, will encounter bugs and insects (not... More

I visited this gorgeous treehouse community for 4 days and wish I never left. This place has everything you would ever want for an eco-trip. The tree houses are clean, comfortable and offer all the amenities you will ever need. With abundant wildlife, amazing vistas and an ice cold river to cool off in after a days hike, you will... This is our third time visiting Finca Bellavista, and it's always sonice to explore the jungle here. First off, Matt and Amy are exceptional hosts and were very helpful with pointing us in a good direction to explore a different area than we have ever been. In addition to exploring all day, It was very nice to meet everyone at... More

I recently traveled to Costa Rica and decided to go out on a limb and stay a few days in a treehouse community. After reading wonderful reviews about Finca Bellavista, I decided this was the place! Upon arrival, we were met at the base camp by Amy who happily welcomed us and provides us with bountiful information on the community... More

I visited the Finca with friends earlier this month. I was really nervous about the trip because I'd never done anything like it before and I do not consider myself to be particularly outdoorsy or adventurous person. I probably emailed the staff at least a dozen times with questions about what to expect, what to pack, what to do, etc. They... More

I traveled to Soth America last month and visited Costa Rica, we did 3 days at the Finca. It was 3 days of nature, relaxation, and beauty! Check in process was so easy, loved my wellies upon arrival. I could rave and rave about the delicious food and cocktails :) We interacted mostly with Matt at check-in, and he was... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Finca Bellavista is a treehouse community in the rainforest of Costa Rica! Our home is a rustic, yet comfortable private retreat off the beaten path where owners and guests can explore the natural wonders of the rainforest canopy and enjoy treetop 'Pura Vida'. Finca Bellavista is not a full-service spa, a fancy hotel, or a canopy tour. We are located in quiet corner of Costa Rica that is removed from many of the influences of the outside world. The nearest town (1.5 miles away) contains a school, a church, a pulperia, a bus stop, a handful of houses, and of course, a soccer field. That's it. No souvenir shops, no mini-malls, and no rowdy bars. Finca Bellavista is for the true traveller who wants to experience something truly different and special. We have acres of forest and gardens to explore, refreshing rivers, birdwatching, tours and much more. We look forward to hosting you in our rainforest home! ... more   less
