I went here on vacation 4 years ago and I loved it so much I bought a plot of land and built a treehouse. Yup, that's how dope it is :) when your there you will understand what I mean. The creators really sacrificed to give us an amazingly unique community.

We stayed in Casa Estrella, the treehouse closest to basecamp, for two nights. We stayed with another couple and had plenty of room. (2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths). We brought our own food and cooked most the time, and had dinner at the dining hall one night. It was a family style buffet and they were accommodating to our needs (gluten...

There was at beautiful deck which allowed us to sit annoy the sounds of the jungle. We purchased their meals which were VG (dinner) but unless you time it right....expect the...

We had SUCH a great time. Finca is a magical place…I mean, just something out of the movies! We've been home for a couple weeks now and our kids won't stop talking about it...one of their favorite things to do was to walk to the garden and get fresh bananas. Not to mention it's just an adventurers dream. To the...

We looked for a real tree-house experience in Costa Rica and found a lot of places with houses on stilts near trees calling themselves tree-houses (boo!). At Finca Bellavista however, not only did we stay in a legit tree-house, but we discovered a tree-house community with gorgeous common areas and a beautiful property just waiting to be discovered. Zip-lining was...

We stayed at Casa Mariposa, Finca Bellavista. It was an experience of a lifetime, not for the squeamish. The sights were amazing, and we were able to see a lot of different wild life, from snakes to spiders to over 30 variety of birds. If you like peace and quiet, this is not for you. As they are tree houses,...

Thank you for the romantic honeymoon.. We loved our visit in a delightfully private and comfortable cabina. Absolutely magical nature. .Enjoyed the community that make up the staff who were so warm and welcoming. The zipline was so fun and the staff helped this scared cat get through the whole thing so I got to see a family of monkeys....

After volunteering at finca bella vista previously I had the opportunity to return as a guest. And it was just as magical as ever! Everyday there I learned something new. The treehouses are modern yet simple which allows you to really connect to the nature around you. The hikes to the various waterfalls are unforgettable. And the zipline that goes...

If you enjoy hiking, appreciate nature, are easy going, and don't mind bugs/creatures, Finca Bellavista is a MUST!!! My boyfriend and I traveled to Arenal, Monteverde, Finca Bella, and Playa Hermosa and by far Finca Bella was our favorite part of the week long trip to beautiful Costa Rica! We cannot wait to plan our next trip to the Finca!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Finca Bellavista is a treehouse community in the rainforest of Costa Rica! This village is a rustic, yet comfortable private retreat off the beaten path where owners and guests can explore the natural wonders of the rainforest canopy and enjoy treetop 'Pura Vida'. Finca Bellavista is not a full-service spa or fancy hotel. We are located in quiet corner of Costa Rica that is removed from many of the influences of the outside world. The nearest town (1.5 miles away) contains a school, a church, a pulperia, a bus stop, a handful of houses, and a soccer field. That's it. No souvenir shops, no mini-malls, and no rowdy bars. Finca Bellavista is for the traveller who wants to experience something truly different and special. We have acres of forest and gardens to explore, refreshing rivers, birdwatching, tours and much more. We look forward to hosting you in our rainforest home! ... more   less
