Located in the heart of St. Francisville's Historic District, The St. Francisville Inn has operated continuously for almost 40 years, offering friendly lodging and delicious food. Having recently undergone a massive renovation, the inn now stands as the most luxurious lodging establishment in The Felicianas. French and American antiques now adorn the boutique hotel and offer an inviting set of vignettes from which to choose. Soon after re-opening, French trained Chef Michael Dardenne joined the hotel as executive chef of The Saint Bar and Restaurant. The Inn is now the place to be seen in the Felicianas, and attracts clientele from Europe, Canada, and all fifty states. The St Francisville Inn remains the only boutique hotel in the area featuring a full service bar, restaurant, and pool.

Detailed Reviews
Want a magical, southern experience? Stay here!
From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted by friendly staff. I was mesmerized by all the beauty around me. Everything was beautifully decorated and clean. We enjoyed the patio area all day, again beautiful gardens and landscaping. You can see all the love that the owners pours into there beloved home by the details in the landscaping, the experience they capture when walking in the door, the cleanliness of the entire place, and the refreshing, light scent when you walk into your rooms. The breakfast the next morning is included in your stay. It was excellent.
The only and I mean ONLY complaint we had was how spendy the food and drink prices were. We chose not to eat on-site as it was very spendy ( 30 - 50 a plate). The menu looked really good but prices were steep. I ordered 1 drink, (a stoli double shot with soda) and it was $28. I could have bought the entire bottle, lemons, and soda water for that and served everyone. We chose to eat off property at a local establishment. My fresh Cajun pasta and 2 drinks was under $28.
We will be staying here again next year and bringing our adult family members.

The owners really did a wonderful job at restoring the property. They included a lot of nice extra touches like bottled water in the room, champagne upon arrival, hand sanitizers in the room. Walking distance to many nice restaurants. Beautiful historical neighborhood. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the front porch. We will definitely be back.

Heather, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Did you know that one of our servers, Shayla, invented the hand sanitizer when she was unable too find a compact mister to carry in her purse? She blends the sanitizer, develops the scents, and placesvthem in the rooms for guests to keep. So glad you enjoyed your stay.

OMG! Beautiful home, amazing hosts, wonderful staff, great chef, and Miss Shirley (a gem of a person)...
Simply put, the St. Francisville Inn is stunning. It is beautifully decorated not with cute country folksy or Victorian kitsch, but rather in an eclectic combination of antiques, Victorian inspired objects, Asian art pieces, and modern art all placed tastefully together from someone who has an eye for a balance of texture, color, and form. I am not an artist but the decorator surely is.
We stayed upstairs in a corner room: 126. The room was large, comfortable to move around in, had nice blackout curtains, a good TV, and the bed was extremely comfortable to sleep in. The room even had a makeup table. The shower had great water pressure and was quick to heat up. Only recommendation I would make would be to add a shelf to put a toiletry bag on. We could softly hear people talking outside in the courtyard and we could hear footsteps as people walked up the stairs. But all was very quiet during the night.
If you stay in St. Francisville, you must eat at their restaurant named The Saint. FANTASTIC!!! Breakfast was yummy but the dinner was perfect. The menu is not extensive, but that is fine as it allows the chef to concentrate on preparing the food perfectly. My husband and I agreed that we may have to make another trip at some time in the future just to eat dinner at The Saint.
The small town does not have a lot to do but we found enough to keep us occupied for the time we were there.
The premises were beautifully landscaped and the courtyard was lovely although it was too chilly for us to use.
In short - if you are in the area, stay at the St. Francisville Inn. If you are not in the area, it may be worth the extra drive. And be sure to have dinner at The Saint.

My husband and I stayed at Saint Francisville Inn to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary upon recommendation from friends that go every year. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and decorated in a unique way. Loved the front porch with rocking chairs to sit in and sip cocktails in the evening. The guest rooms are rather on the small side and wish they had a closet and more shelving for toiletries in the bathroom. The restaurant in the inn, The Saint, was very nice and the food was delicious although the menu is limited. Complimentary breakfast is available every day from 8 to 9:30 AM and brunch available on Sunday after breakfast. The inn has a lovely pool area with lounging chairs. Wish the hot tub had been heated though as we had rain the whole weekend and would’ve enjoyed to soak in a warm hot tub.
The owners are very nice and hospitable. Perhaps my biggest complaint is that they do not have complimentary coffee available for guests early in the morning. I am an early riser and would’ve loved to have my coffee before the restaurant opened for breakfast at 8 AM. My husband and I had to actually walk or drive somewhere to go get coffee each morning. Highly recommend Birdman Coffe shop walking distance right around the corner. Coffee is available for a fee if you order room coffee service. Also we loved that bikes are available for guests to go bike riding. It’s a great way to see the town. Sundays are very quiet around St Francisville and you do need to go elsewhere for evening dining as the restaurant is closed Sunday evening after brunch.
I would recommend St Francisville Inn if you are looking for a quiet and quaint place to stay. The inn is located conveniently to several plantations and hiking in Tunica hills. It was a lovely weekend.

Back in March, this young couple staying with us came into the inn in bathing suits. They were so cold their teeth were chattering. "You have GOT to turn on the hot tub! It is freezing cold", they said. "We don't have a hot tub", I told them. "You have been sitting in our fountain". If I could find a way to heat it, I would.

We stayed at St. Francisville Inn this fall and it exceeded our expectations. The owners, Jim and Brandon along with their prized staff, anticipated our every need. The accommodations are hygienic and well appointed. the historic main house is chock full of antiques and interesting art objects designed by Brandon. Jim is a warm conversationalist and detail oriented. The redfish lafitte and all of the meals satisfied a sophisticated palate. the homemade full breakfast of eggs, grits and biscuits were welcomed. the location is in the middle of the historic district but close to hiking and birding adventures at St. Catherine's creek and Mary Ann Brown preserve. we enjoyed seeing plantations and relaxing in a rocking chair on the porch of St. Francisville inn. just what we needed as a safe getaway during this covid time in our history. We highly recommend the St. Francisville Inn.

Recently stayed at the Inn for a “Bachelorette Party”/Girls weekend, but more for a relaxing weekend getaway as we are in our 30’s and most of my friends are Moms. Everything about the inn is beautiful, the bar staff was great, but we were treated very rudely by the owners from the second we arrived, to the moment we checked out. I love supporting local places like this and celebrating our Louisiana culture, but I know myself and friends will not be staying at the Inn again when we visit St Francisville in the future, which is disappointing because it is a beautiful place. I feel as though things could have been handled very differently. There is a bar & restaurant onsite open to the public and friends staying elsewhere came to visit and BUY drinks from their bar, that was apparently an issue. We rented 4 rooms, no rooms were given fresh towels, and yes we did have 1 person over the limit (9 girls, 4 rooms/2 each) no more then 7 people ate breakfast, nothing that was complimentary was taken advantage of. Had I not been called out in front of other guests I wanted to personally speak with one of the owners about the extra guest I had that was able to come last minute, and see what could be done about making sure we covered their breakfast and any other costs, but being we were treated as basically criminals and watched like hawks from the start it wasn’t worth my time. My family also owns a bed & breakfast and have been in business for 30+ years now. I know what it’s like to put your heart into a lovely place like this and the effect that corona took on travel. It was one of the main reasons I picked this Inn to stay at, but the way I was treated is not how you treat guests! I was looking forward to returning, but sadly will not. I wish things would have worked out better, but if you are a party of more then 4 people you may want to look into other options for your stay. We spent lots at their bar and I am very thankful for the very friendly and hospitable bar staff!

We are a quiet, country inn that focuses on amazing food and service. We are not the place to come for "girls gone wild", balloons, signs taped to the bedroom walls, Or anything else that will prevent any other guest from enjoying their stay with us. We don't appreciate guests who tell us they only have two guests in a room when they actually have four, or paint pulled off walls because someone taped up signs and balloons. There are plenty of hotels suitable to your needs. We are not one of them.

What a delight! Exquisite decor and gardens are breathtaking and most noted upon checking in. Our checkin was seamless. Our most kind and attentive host walked us through the property to our room and complimented my party with champagne. The pool was most inviting as were the various blue and gray adorned cushy outdoor areas. What an oasis!
Various potted plants, hanging baskets, and flower varieties cast a spa-like feel with their myriad fragrances coalescing into memory. It is that grand, friends.
Our room boasted refreshments and the most comfy furnishings. The bed offered much-needed comfort. The screen door added to the ambiance. Southern comfort meets classic chic- the past and presence converge.
Breakfast was a complimentary fare hosted by the most precious woman who welcomed us in true Southern fashion! The eggs were expertly prepared adorned with sprouts, served with country style grits, smoked bacon, and a melt in your mouth fluffy biscuit. The coffee was divine.
The Inn is a destination not just a place to stay on your way! Enjoy the antique shops and a visit to the Myrtles.

We were very impressed with our stay at the Stockade. The place is very conveniently located on a major crossroads however immediately surrounded by garden and woodland when you enter the driveway. Our room had a private patio on the edge of a mature forest - all we could hear was birds and crickets.
The house and rooms feel like a well lived in home with the owner's art, books and music around the house. Our hostess was very hospitable and clearly an excellent cook as breakfast was customized to our tastes and frankly so delicious that we ate it all and ended up skipping lunch completely.
We'd definitely stay there again.

Calm, relaxing, Inn set in a peaceful location with live oak trees and beautiful gardens. The front porch is the best place for a cup of coffee and lots of porch rockers for a big group of friends if you are on a girls trip. A nice pool and hot tub in a secret garden area that’s private is a great afternoon spot too. There are 11 guest rooms that center on a courtyard filled with cozy patio groupings- just the right place for wine at sunset. The bar inside the Inn is a real gathering place for guests and locals too. We ate every meal at the Inn on every day of our stay. That’s how good the food is!!! A real Southern hot breakfast is included with your stay. You’ll want to plan on lunch and dinner which are always fabulous. Lots of repeat customers who drive over from other areas of Louisiana just to eat at the Inn. The rooms are large and well appointed with luxurious bed linens, and each room has its on private updated and modern marble bathroom.
They provide bikes to ride if you want to get a little exercise while seeing the town. But it’s all walking distance too. Things to do there: boutiques, antique stores, bookstore and coffee shop, high end home stores and vintage shops and a large
local Mercantile. There are homes to tour that are open daily and even ghost tours. The little town of St. Francisville has lots to offer.

The Magnolia Suite was spacious, comfortable and pretty. There could be more lighting in the bathroom over the vanity. If you are looking to sleep in, this is not the room for you as it is close to the back entry of the dining area, and very close to the gathering area in the courtyard. The flower in the room and the hand sanitizer were personal touches that I would like to point out.
Loved the court yard. Nice to sit outside and have a glass of wine with friends, which we did. The heaters were not working which was a little disappointing, they were out of propane.
Mrs. Shirley who served breakfast, was a delight. Breakfast was delicious and included with the room. Charles, went out of his way to show us our rooms and get us checked in during brunch so we could have our room before the function we were attending. The bartender was very sweet and poured with a smile, all of the staff were great!
