The Plantations are a must see. An amazing historical treasure that I hope stays around for many, many more generations! So much History and a Ghost Legend too! The house itself is a remarkable one of a kind with true southern wrought-iron trim, lots of...More
Enjoy my visit everytime. This visit was in the John Leake room. Only thing I didnt like was the tour guide this time..,,he seemed really tired & talked so fast & added his own modern day versions of the stories. But there are several guides,...More
We really enjoyed our time in this beautiful house. Ghost hunting was so much fun. Exchanging ghost stories in the morning after a delicious breakfast was the best part. The staff was really great also.
Even though this house does not look as grand as some of the plantation homes on the outside this house is very magnificent on the inside. If you take this tour I think that you will be very pleased that you did. Our tour guide...More

We stayed in the Caretakers Quarters. It's an old cabin behind the main house. It was originally put there when the owners bought it as a playhouse for their children. But the son saw an "old man" on the porch telling him it was his cabin. The old man has also been seen at the front gate turning guests away by telling them the Inn was closed. I guess other people staying in that cabin have "interacted" with children. We loved it and we walked around the grounds at night. We didnt have any paranormal experiences that night but you know how investigating goes. It's a great place to visit. Have fun!
