We started our one week holiday in Louisiana by staying for 2 days at Claudette's Chateau on the Bayou. Claudette has been a wonderful hostess, doing her very best to make our stay as pleasant, comfortable and interesting as possible. She took a lot of her time to make

We had such a lovely stay with Claudette at A Chateau on the Bayou. She was the most kind and thoughtful hostess. The room was lovely and clean. We very much enjoyed the new pavilion next to the Bayou, relaxing in the rocking chairs after a busy day touring the countryside.

We had such a lovely 2 night stay here with our 14 month old daughter. Claudette was so welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. Nothing was too much trouble for her - she was so helpful recommending places to visit and booking tours for us. We were sad to leave! The

On our tour of Louisiana, we eventually ended up in the South East where we found the "Chateau". Fortunately we were the only guests as the three bedrooms seemed to share a single bathroom. We spent a terrific day in New Orleans which is an hour away and a couple of trips into

Happy to know you enjoyed your stay at A Chateau on the Bayou B&B. Yes, you were very fortunate to have the entire upstairs to yourself since the room arrangement is for a Quad which includes 4 people. Whenever one couple books either BR 2 or BR 3, I block out the other rooms from being booked to assure my guests have a private bath, which you may not have been aware of. Yes, my B&B is in a perfect location to access New Orleans, only 50 minutes, away, and Thibodaux, 10 minutes, away, along with Houma being 20 minutes away. Glad to know you stayed enough days to take a ride "down the bayou" to Grand Isle, LA where you could visit the Gulf of Mexico, a 90 minute drive. And, it's perfect for a drive to Vacherie, only 35 -40 minutes away where you can visit Oak Alley and Laura plantation homes. Thanks for choosing to stay right on Bayou Lafourche where you could relax each evening with a glass of wine on the back porch and watch the bayou flow, slowly by.
