My husband and I stayed here on Christmas Eve as we were traveling back from Houma after visiting family for the day. The outside patio and sitting areas are lovely. She was very cordial and the breakfast was excellent. Something I had never eaten before, but very delicious.

Thanks for choosing my B&B to spend your 5th anniversary. It was a true pleasure meeting and having both of you as guests at my B&B on Christmas Eve. Enjoyed getting to visit with you all outside on the patio area. Wishing you both a very Happy New Year in 2017.

Plentiful and tastes breakfast, knowledgeable local hostess and feline friendly abode. With a bayoue backyard and comfortable rooms this location is inclose proximity to plantation explorations. The Whitney Plantation is the only tour given from the slaves perspective, a sacred grounds with memorials to hundreds of thousands of undocumented people forced to give their lives to benefit the U.S. Economy...

The B & B was great! Miss Claudette was very helpful suggesting places to see and do and she runs a very clean B & B. Her home is beautiful, it was our first time to ever stay in a B & B and we enjoyed our visit to the area and felt quite at home. She fixes a dynamite...

It was truly a pleasure having both of you as guests for 5 nights while visiting our area. So glad you got to experience the life on the bayou in south Louisiana. Thanks for your kind words.

Host was very gracious and home was immaculate. We had a Queen room which was right off the highway and very noisy. We were offered an upstairs room which might have been quieter but my husband cannot climb stairs. When we checked in I saw a cat and as I am allergic I took a pill and had no problems....

It's interesting you would comment that my B&B was for tourists, indicating not for Americans like yourself. I agree that many internationals do stay at my B&B, but so do many domestic guests and mosts are very satisfied. A full breakfast was served that morning consisting of a yogurt cup with fresh blackberries, strawberries, and pumpkin seeds, french toast with...

We had a wonderful time here! We were able to have a true taste of Cajun life! Thanks to Claudette the owner she was able to point us in the direction of great food, Arthur's Airboat rides and much more! This is a great place to stay for a great down home feel!

My husband and another couple stayed here for the Swamp Stomp. We had such a great time! I had no idea there was so much to do and see there. Thanks to Ms. Claudette we went on an awesome airboat ride, toured the Tabasco Factory and ate the best food! We felt like we were at home. The bed and...

I had never been to a B&B and was actually quite nervous when my wife booked. I'm not really comfortable sharing living spaces like that with other people. However, upon arrival (Halloween weekend) I felt welcomed and comfortable. Claudette was very friendly and helpful with pointing us to a great little restaurant that we liked, and we appreciated the cleanliness...

We had business in 2015 and again in 2016 in Raceland. We stayed at Claudet Pitre's A Chateau on the Bayou both times. The second time was really like staying at your sister's. Felt so comfortable and familiar. The room was clean, spacious. Cable tv. Our room had a private bath with an old fashioned claw foot tub, big fluffy...

Always a pleasure having you and your husband as guests at my B&B. Thanks for the kind words and, yes, you do feel like a sister to me, also. Meeting and getting to know guests like you is truly a blessing. You are always welcome, anytime.

First off, my mistake that I didn't know that a "bayou" isn't necessarily the kind of swampy, natural area that you see on Discovery Channel. When I chose A Chateau on the Bayou, I did so because of the name and because my husband and I wanted to spend our 20th anniversary surrounded by nature in an environment that was...

So sorry that you had not researched more into what you were actually booking. Yes, a bayou is totally different than the swamps. When you first got here, you expressed that you thought you would have the entire house and no one else was going to be here. I think you were looking more for a secluded camp than a...
