Love this place so much... each time I come it feels like I’m visiting family. So blessed and grateful to have this as an option to stay at. Right on the bayou. Best fishing pier. Best hostess with the mostess. Every single time I come I get more and more relaxed. Love it here.

The home is lovely in the middle of the Bayou with Carol as a very caring and helpful host. She is flexible and prepares a great breakfast. She helps and advises with trips during our stay. Supermarket is close (by car) and the apartment is equipped with all the things you would need. For sure we would come back to here.

There is no doubt this was one of the highlights of our trip. The La Belle Riviere Bed & Breakfast is a hidden gem that shines on the banks of the Belle River. Mrs Carol and Mr Jeff most welcoming and accommodating hosts, leaving us on our departure with the feeling we had just visited our favourite long-lost family. The cottage was lovely, with well stocked breakfast supplies and a couple of the other essentials you want when traveling (or staying with family!). Comfortable bed, the obligatory appliances, necessary utensils and a pool if you want to swim. But the highlight is sitting on the deck, right on the Belle River, drinking a wine or, as we found out the next day, opening the curtains and seeing the spectacular beauty of the sun streaming across the river. If you are thinking about staying here, stop thinking about it and just book. A truly memorable experience.

After doing an exhaustive search for a place to stay in South Louisiana to get some much-needed R&R, La Belle Riviere was literally an answer to prayer! All the cabins/homes we were interested in were a little too big (and expensive) while others were a bit too small (my hubby graciously endured staying in a dainty, dollhouse-type cabin last time and swore it was the last time lol). Magically I stumble across a pic of La Belle Riviere (and after talking with Mrs. Carol) this Goldilocks found the rental that was "just right" for her and her family of 5! Being a Louisiana native who has been living in Florida for over 20 years, I often long to return to the place of my birth to get away from it all. More than this, I love to share the many treasures of this state with my family (all natural-born Florida Crackers lol) so they get to experience the joy's that I did growing-up, here: the food, the wildlife, the natural beauty, the history and the oddities that are unique only to this state. But more than these things I keep bringing my family back here, for what I believe, is the jewel in the crown of Louisiana; it's people! Of all the many attractions this state boasts, it is the people of this great state that are the main draw. La Belle Riviere accomplished for us what staying in a hotel could not, it allowed us to feel like we were visiting old friends or family, instead of just being outsider/visitors. There is an old-fashioned neighborly way about the culture down there, and you can't help but feel like your home. Our children rose with the morning sun, raced to the river to fish,as the morning mist still clung to the water, while I would grab a hot cup of coffee and sip it on the dock, watching my children at play as if we were on a weekend visit to Maw's Maw's and Paw Paw's. The comfortable accommodations (that were so cozily-decorated) were just what my hubby needed to unwind-doing a whole lot of nothing-just what he needed lol! La Belle Riviere is located far enough away from the hustle and bustle of life, while being close-enough to access any points of interest with ease. It is great a value and one we cannot wait to return to!

I wanted to surprise my husband with a trip for his birthday. He loves to fish and LaBelle Riviere is setting right on the Belle River. Mike said it was paradise there. Carol made us feel so welcome. It was the most relaxing vacation ever. We will definitely stay there again.
