This bed and breakfast is by far one of the greatest that I've ever stayed at. My friends and I were completely spoiled with breakfast every morning. We stayed 4 nights in Shelby and Jackson's room and the rooms are very cozy! The hospitality and house is very welcoming and has a fantastic charm. I highly recommend to stay here for any natchitoches activities! Denise, Ashley, and Momma Rose we're wonderful hostesses.. I can't wait to come back to visit them!

We’ve stayed at lots of B&B’s and this is one of my favorite. Not only do you get the charm from the movie, but the city is great too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner and he was a very welcoming host. We lucked out and stayed the same weekend the host has an annual crawfish boil and he was gracious enough to invite us to join in.

We had a girls trip and chose the Steel Magnolia House because we love the movie. The house and staff did not disappoint! We stayed in Truvvy's Cabin and it was spacious and had all the amenities. The pull out bed and the bed in the bedroom were very comfortable. Everything was very clean. Staff had great Southern Charm and Mama Rose's breakfast was good. Bridget helped us find all the areas in town where the movie was filmed and the film was loaded to play in the cabin! So fun to see the movie and see the actual place in person!! Would highly recommend!!

My best friend gifted me a stay at the Steel Magnolia’s bed and Breakfast for my birthday. It was perfect for a girls weekend. We spent two nights in the very comfortable, well appointed Clairee room. I couldn’t recommend this bed and breakfast more highly. If you’re a fan of the film (I’m a huge fan), the house looks exactly as it did in the movie. We watched the film in the living room and it was very surreal. The hostess, Bridget, was too cool (like, wish she was a bestie level cool) and so knowledgeable! When we arrived she showed us around the house, highlighting where different scenes from the film took place, but also teaching us about the much richer history of this 200 year old home. The home was once a stop on the Underground Railroad and a hospital during the Civil War. I forgot to ask if it’s haunted, but I mean, probably, right? The breakfast was delightful- this was my first stay at a B&B and I really enjoyed getting to talk to other guests. Mama Rose is precious and worked hard to give us a nice meal both mornings we were there. On the last morning, the owner had breakfast with us and was a very nice man. He told us all about the preservation of the home and the history behind the furnishings throughout the home. Everything is very nuanced and tied to the bigger history in Natchitoches. If you take the time to explore the history of this beautiful city you will absolutely get more out of your stay. Pro tip- ask Bridgett for ideas on where to go and what to eat! Legit, she’s the best!…

Just spent 4 nights in this lovely home. I was in Clairee’s room and the bed was super comfy and the a/c worked like a charm! MamaRose, Bobbi and staff were all incredibly welcoming and as sweet as can be. Dan, the owner, was very charming and included all four of us in his annual crawfish boil… a truly enjoyable experience. What a magical place to stay if you’re a fan of the movie!! The staff gave us lots of background and stories… so fun! The spring decor in the house was beautiful. Would highly recommend!!!

Southern hospitality at its finest. Thank you Mama Rose and Colinda for a delicious breakfast every morning. Also thank you Mr. Dyess for taking the time out of your morning to come visit with us and tell us some history on the Steel Magnolia.

We visited Natchitoches for a quick weekend visit for my wife's birthday. I knew Steel Magnolia's was filmed in the town and the Steel Magnolia House existed. Booking was easy, pre-arrival service was awesome (even letting us check-in early), and our stay was wonderful. We reserved the Shelby Room and my wife loved it! The House is about 1/2-mile from the riverfront city center. Definitely easily within walking distance. The Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend!

Our group of friends booked the entire house to attend our friend's wedding in Louisiana. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the staff was wonderful to talk to. They were also very accommodating of our dietary restrictions. The entire house was so charming, but the antique furniture was breathtakingly beautiful! The location was convenient and it was quick and easy to get to the river, local shops, and to other places further away. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would love to go back!
