I stayed here enroute home from a trip to Texas. My room was comfy, quiet and cool. The lobby was gorgeous. Front desk lady, Tressee was so friendly and sweet. Parking was safe and secure. There was a beautiful courtyard to enjoy as well. There were several nice restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at Church Street Inn and it did not disappoint! As always, staff are friendly, eager and accommodating. Social distancing and COVID restrictions were in place. Staff was always compliant. Continental breakfast was hot, good for this type of meal, a variety of choices. When I asked for an extra towel, the house keeper who was cleaning rooms quickly stopped what she was doing and got some for me. When I told her I had seen the stack she got them from on her cart but did not just want to take one, she said I was a regular and could get what I wanted. Made me feel good. As long as I am treated this way, I will return.

You can't beat the location of this hotel when visiting Natchitoches. It's only a block off of Front Street on the Cane River, and within walking distance of much of things to see and do, as well as restaurants and pubs. The staff was amazing! They made us feel like family or long, lost friends. They were knowledgeable about places to see and eat and were happy to answer questions. Parking is free and on site behind a fence, and is ample. We were in a large truck and were concerned it might be difficult to park, but there was no problem at all. Breakfast had a good selection and it was fresh and warm and replenished frequently. The hotel is small with only 20 rooms, so it feels very intimate. The hotel was clean and ALL staff were very friendly. The evening "happy hour" was a plus. Enjoying a glass of wine while sitting next to the fountain in the courtyard, or on the balcony watching the happenings on the street was a great way to end a day of exploring. We will definitely stay here when we return!

My sweetheart and I had planned to visit Natchitoches for a while and decided to come for the Mardi Gras parade, spend some quality time together and relax. We wanted to stay at Church Street Inn based on stellar reviews, off street parking, and our not liking chain hotels. The room was small, but nice. I turned on the heater before we left for the parade and dinner, expecting a nice, cozy room when we returned. Well, that was not the case, the heater was blowing room temp air, and was obviously not heating. I called the front office, Shay came up to check, and she couldn't get it to work either. She said she would try to get in touch with the manager, Ricky, who was out of town for the weekend. We waited for about 15 minutes, so I decided to go check. She told me that maintenance was not available, no other room was available, and was talking to Ricky on the phone. I could see that the problem wasn't going to be resolved, so I told her to just refund our room rate and we would go home. So, our weekend was ruined, we're driving home at 10:30 at night. My issue is that each room should be inspected BEFORE each check-in to eliminate this kind of situation. I was, as well, surprised that there was no management available on a sold out weekend. If you stay here, check everything when you first get to your room. Other than this situation, the hotel is nice other than getting a little shabby due to age and use. Location is ideal, off street parking is great, just needs to be more attention to details.

Have stayed here several times. Facility is great. Service is uneven. Sometimes good. Sometimes not good at all. I wonder if the owners know what the service is like when they are not around.

Drinks and cookies from 4-6? Well, maybe not. Today we were informed that since they had "low occupancy" there would be no drinks or cookies. Wonder if they'll do that to the promised breakfast also?

First let me say thank you kindly for taking the time to let us know about your experience. We pride ourselves on excellence in customer service and obviously with you we did not meet or exceed our standards of service. For this, I am truly sorry! The same amenities should be available to all guests regardless of the overall occupancy! I invite you to call the Inn 318-238-888 and give your name and number so that I may call and speak with you personally regarding this incident. Thank you again for the feedback as this is the only way we may address issues and educate staff to uphold our commitment to excel in the hospitality industry! Best regards!

The good: Comfortable bed and linens (although there were spots on the blanket)

The bad: The carpet behind the bedside table was filthy. If you are going to keep the furniture away from the wall, clean behind the furniture. There was a used K-cup in the room’s coffeemaker. The breakfast looked and tasted like maybe they picked it up at McDonalds.

The ugly: We headed out to the 2nd floor balcony to enjoy a glass of wine before doing pickup for dinner. I took Clorox wipes out to sanitize, but had to clean the filthy table and chairs. There was a large ash tray on one table FULL of cigar and cigarette butts. The garbage can was so full the lid would not close.

I think there were two other rooms booked and I understood not going to a lot of trouble for so few people, but I’m pretty sure we pay the same price.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay. The breakfast was delicious each morning and the wine, cheese and snacks were great each evening. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. All restaurants, shops and attractions were within walking distance. One thing I thought was odd..our bathroom did not have a vent fan. Also beware they do not take cash as form of payment.

We have visited family near Natchitoches on many occasions but had never stayed in town for more than a day. So glad we decided to treat ourselves and chose to stay at the Church Street Inn. We had to arrive late, but the staff was very helpful in arranging after-hours check-in for us. Even though the Inn is right in the middle of town near great shops and restaurants, our room was very quiet and comfortable. Parking on site was a real plus. Will definitely chose to stay here again.

Great location in downtown Natchitoches one block away from all the shops and restaurants on Front Street. Beds and free breakfast leave a lot to be desired. Mattresses are soft and the bed covers are slippery making it impossible to sit on the edge of the beds to change shoes, relax, etc. You'll slide right off the bed if you try to do that. Free breakfast is the same thing every morning - link sausages, eggs and biscuits with watery gravy to pour over it. The coffee is outstanding but it's the best part of the breakfast. There is a public balcony available but it's unusable during the heat of the day. There's not one ceiling fan available to try and keep it cool out there. Staff was very friendly and accommodating for guest. I paid more per night to stay at this hotel than I've ever paid for a hotel room. I admit that I don't try to stay in the most expensive hotels but for about $200 per night I expected more than I got. Next time I go down there I will stay at a cheaper hotel out bn I-20 then drive downtown to Mayeaux's on Front Steet for dinner. Parking is free downtown, but you may have search around before you find and open space. This is well worth the bother rather than staying at the Church Street Inn.

Dear leftyjim58, I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with your stay with us at Church Street Inn. This feedback is disappointing to hear and is not in line with our usually high standards. After checking in with our staff, we unfortunately do not have notes about your stay other than this review, as your Tripadvisor username does not provide us enough insight into the details of your stay - otherwise we would have reached out to you before now. If you feel comfortable, please feel free to call 318-238-8888 and ask for me directly so that I can apologize over the phone to you and see if there we can find a way to make amends. Thank you for your time and enjoy the rest of your day! Warm regards, Susan Godfrey

When visiting Natchitoches, Church Street Inn is the place to stay. We spent four wonderful nights. The King Suite was so comfortable and we had no trouble sleeping at night. Our bathroom was nice with a large counter top and Jacuzzi. Everything was so clean. Loved the secure parking and the price was affordable. The staff was so friendly and very helpful and accommodating. There were lots of breakfast items to choose from. The courtyard outside our room was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting and relaxing seeing the sights. The Inn is located within walking distance of the historic shops and restaurants, three of which are right across from the Inn. We went on the horse and carriage tour and also took a tour on the Cane River Boat sunset cruise. Both were very enjoyable and educational and in walking distance from the Inn. We plan on staying again soon. We want to thank the staff at Church Street Inn for making our stay a memorable one for our 53rd wedding anniversary.

The amenities were fine. They had a very good breakfast. Wine and cookies in the afternoon. Price was very reasonable. Rooms were generally clean, but our doorway was stained , looked as though it needed cleaning.
