Great old Victorian with a solid restoration that captures the old but still has what it needs for this century!! A must try if you plan to be in Natchitoches for a few days. Great morning meal that is very flexible time wise. Very close to town and river, a very easy walk. Extremely gracious host and Inn Keeper that... More

My wife and I were passing through from Pensacola and made a last minute reservation. We were pushed for time and told the owners we needed an early start the following morning. They were most accommodating by offering to prepare breakfast and hour earlier so we could leave. The breakfast was great! French toast with fresh strawberries and blueberries, eggs,... More

Stayed in Magnolia Room of this house that was built in late 1800's for Congressman Phanor Breazele. Beautiful stained glass, and Kimmy, the day manager/cook/etc was great. Wonderful breakfast of strawberry crepes and boudin crepes one day, French toast and fixin' another just great. Kimmy gave us good instructions for day trips and stuff downtown on Front St. Good stAy.

We visited the Sweet Cane Inn for a combination Valentine's Day / Mardi Gras celebration. The Inn is beautiful and the owners strived to keep the house original. Comfortable room, delicious breakfast and great location. Due to an illness, we had to cut our weekend short and return home, so we did not get to experience the Mardi Gras celebration,... More

We truly enjoyed our stay! Was so nice to park the car and not move it again until it was time to head home. The home is beautiful yet comfortable. We stayed in the Azalea Room. It was nice but there was no place to sit and relax, save two wooden chairs, one of which held my husbands overnight bag... More

We met some friends of ours from Louisiana here for the Festival of Lights. The house is gorgeous, a lot of attention to detail. Loved the cookies every afternoon! John and Kathy are very nice hosts and their restaurant, Maglieaux, is wonderful. Our rooms were on the third floor, so it was very private and quiet. Decorated quite tastefully for... More

My husband and I went for a mini honeymoon and found the inn keeper really sweet and she had chocolate chip cookies and wine when we arrived. We stayed in the Magnolia room but it was really small for two people and really lacked a view but the owners, John and Kathy, were so friendly and my husband and John... More

My wife, another couple, and myself took off for a little get away and stayed this fantastic bed and breakfast. John and Kathy are the owners and they are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. The breakfast was fabulous and exceeded our expectations. They also have a restaurant just down the road called Maglios. They served one... More

I planned a quick Mother/Daughter getaway to Natchitoches and scheduled two nights at the Sweet Cane Inn. I was amazed at how the owners had restored the house in keeping with the original design. No details were overlooked. We had the Oleander, Azalea and Magnolia rooms on the second floor. Each room had it's own bathroom which is a big... More

Fantastic! Beautiful! Awesome owners!! Close to historic downtown! We had appetizers and drinks at Maglieux on the Cane and it was great! We did not have a place to stay for the night...the employees told us the the owners had a B and B a few blocks away....loved it!!
