After two years holed up because of covid this was a much-needed getaway. Had not been there in six years and room was comped for two nights, Awesome! Forced us to go.! lol. Room was good. I realize the Hotel/Casino took a hit the last two years so little things that bothered my wife did not bother me as much, such as windows were very dirty on the outside, glasses didn't look clean, a little dusty and dated. Everything else was Great! King room came with fridge and microwave. The casino - same as before slots galore.! One thing different, when playing you won't be asked if you need a drink. Now have to get an advantage card, put it in the machine, pick from the menu and drink arrives within 5 min. really fast!! Food - Gumbeaux's, seafood platter was the best. Terrace Cafe, had a great omelette for breakfast. Noodles Chinese, someone needs to show them how to make egg rolls, Dam.!! Slots were tight.! Good fun stay though.

We paid as much for two nights at the Grand as we did in a very nice hotel in Honolulu. Even though we had our "Please Clean Room" sign hanging on the door, they did not clean our room. I found housekeeping down the hall, asked for clean towels and they brought towels, toilet paper and soap then told me to leave our dirty towels in the hallway outside the door and they would pick them up. I did that, and the towels were still there the following morning. There was thick dust on either side of the the mirror in the restroom and the seal on the shower door was covered in mold. There was dust and hair in all the corners. Disgusting. Will not stay there again.

We appreciate your feedback and want to sincerely apologize that your stay was not all that it could have been. Our front desk and housekeeping staff are on property 24 hours a day and are more than happy to help any issues you may experience during your stay. At this time, we are not offering housekeeping stay over at this time due to property Covid protocols. We can only hope to gain your business again to improve on our performance.

This is the best of the 3 Coushatta lodgings near the casino, it's in the same structure and is only an elevator ride to the casino entrance. At the time we stayed there was no valet service, room service, or housekeeping service, all due to covid causing a worker shortage. Rooms are very nice, well furnished and decorated. Beds are a bit firmer than we like. Roomy desk, and very large TV with good channel selections available. Small kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Nice large bathroom with dual-head shower. An oddity, there was only one soap bar provided. Wifi was surprisingly fast. There is a safe in the room. See pics.

Nice hotel and room, but disappointed in the cleanliness. There is a lot of dust in the room and you can tell they do not move lamps for example when the clean. The bathroom is not as clean as well. For the prices they charge, I would expect a lot more.

My wife and I finally took a vacation after a rough past 5 years. Decided to head to Coushatta for some much-needed rest and fun. Check in was a breeze. Everyone at the front desk was most pleasant and helpful. Their valet parking is closed but you can still get a bell man to take your luggage up to the room. We asked the front desk if there were any feather products in the room and they assured us there was not. Of the 5 pillows on the bed there was one that was filled with feathers. They asked us to put the pillow in the hall and housekeeping will take care of it. We went downstairs for some lunch and when we returned there were two brand new pillows on our bed. The shower had two heads. One was a rain type in the ceiling and the other was your standard on the wall. The water pressure was good, and the water was VERY hot. Kinder was hot and humid so it really took the A/C to cool the room down but once it was cool it felt very nice. Only issue was the in room safe showed battery low. Security came up with in 5 min and quickly fixed it. Cannot wait for our next trip there.

Stayed one night at the Coushatta Grand Hotel in Kinder, on our drive from Horseshoe / Bossier City to the Golden Nugget / Lake Charles. Got to stay in the Hotel this time! We usually get a room in the Inn or 7 Clans. They are ok, but the Grand was much nicer, and closer to the Casino. The rooms are comped, so I shouldn't complain. A security guard checks your temperature and makes sure you have a mask, when checking in. Looks like they keep a count of people entering and exiting the Casino. Evidently you were not required to wear a mask while playing in the Casino. I would say about even - 50% with and without masks. Some of the other Casinos we played at required you wear the masks. We always wear ours for our safety. Didn't see anyone winning a jackpot while we were there. We won a little. We had burger, fries, and a Dr. Pepper at the 165 Diner Wednesday night. And breakfast at the Terrace Café Thursday morning, which is located the old Buffet area now. That place has been remolded. We were told the Buffet will not be opening back up for about 2 years. There are no more SENIOR SPECIALS on the menu. We have to pay for a larger meal we can't finish. Wasted food! Great service at the Terrace Café! The hot dog place has no seating there. Take your food and head to your room. Didn't try the other food place there. Very limited places to eat in.

We used to like Coushatta but they are under new management and the place was like a ghost town. The machines are tight not too many people were winning. They do have many new machines. About the new tax, from what I understand cause no one could explain as to why an Indian reservation would have a 7pct tax its called a "Tribal Tax". Coushatta now add this 7pct tax to all hotel rooms and Feather Fuel conveinence store purchases. You can feel a different vibe and its not good. Employees are nice but you can tell they are not too happy with all the changes. Somehow the new management has got this all wrong..If it ain't broke don't fix it. I assume that since the casino is not doing so well they decided to add this Tribal tax to generate income. I would not make the 45 minutes extra drive into Kinder and just stay at Lauberge or Golden Nugget. You are probably better off unless you play the tables games. I would advise you stay away.

As seniors it’s fun to go on double dates. We live in Houston area & drove over to Coushatta Casino with our best friends. We had such a great time at The Grand. It’s the casino newest hotel & boy did the rooms exceed my expectations! King standard room was large. Desk area, lounge chair & table. Bedding was Devine. Stunning decor, wonderful rain shower. Well appointed coffee/microwave/refrigerator area. Plus in lobby added Starbucks! This girl very happy. Now if only I won a little, 😔 Not disappointed, we had fun, relaxing night.
