Our overwater sunrise villa was the highlight of our stay. After a guided tour of the island by golf buggy we were blown away by our room. Large and well laid out it had the addition of a beautiful bathtub in a huge bathroom with breathtaking views of the sea. The sea is tidal which meant that some times of the day you could leave your deck and be straight on the beach, at other times you could jump straight into the warm ocean and snorkel with the fish. I particularly enjoyed waking early and seeing the sunrise in this heavenly location. The restaurants are excellent and staff very professional yet friendly. Anantara breakfasts are legendary and this did not disappoint. We felt the Covid measures were safe and reassuring. I would have no hesitation staying here again if I am fortunate enough to return to the Maldives .…
Our stay was amazing. Our room was upgraded at arrival and we were pleased with that as the other side of the island was very windy. Staff was amazing, always smiling and happy to help. I would mention Ruvimbo, Fayaz, Nadwan and Mr Z at restaurants and Fazeel, Hanu and Vanessa. Island was beautiful with opportunity to visit sister island and try different restaurants. Food was good and plenty of choice. it was an unforgettable holidays and we hope to come back one day.
Excellent luxury resort just 30min from international airport by boat. Warm welcome at the airport with immediate trasfer to the island. Check in very fast, so you can have a rest few minutes after departure. All communication and service staff can be done via mobile application. Staff-100% professional, i would like to highlight receptionist Petra Heidrova and coconut master Xavier who made our stay even better and unforgettable. Fresh coconut right from the trees above you is one of many nice surprises you face in the island:) Staff in the restaurant great and friendly all the time, especially we love Thai for the dinner and main restaurant for the breakfast. Room-perfectly clean, cleaners visiting you twice a day. Villas are big with amazing opened bathroom. Bed very comfortable. In the front area there is nice terrace and relaxing zone. Ocean is only few meters ahead of you with soft and white sand. We recommend to take some repelent against mosquitos, area is smoked often, but still we had several bites. Islands-there are few of them, we stayed in the main island which is great choice for families. Amazing, calm and no deep water that perfectly fits for children. If you want there is a big chance you do not meet anyone else. Great kids club. You can borrow a bicycle to see around the island within few minutes. If you prefer snorkeling you can just say it at the reception and the boat comes for you in a minute and transport you to the small island with coral reef where you can see all nice fishes. Restaurants-great dining options, unfortunately Japanese one was closed. Our best choice was Thai. When you are European there is no need to visit Italien as it is just average food according our experience. Amazing breakfast with remarkable view to lagoon. Now it is not buffet style but all served from the menu. In all restaurant you can find children menu as well, but cooks can prepare almost everything for kids and we really aprreciate. Restaurants are in different islands, you are transported by boat any time. Trip-attended just one but it was worth it-nurse sharks experience. To sum up- our best holiday ever, where all family can relax and staff around you provide excellent service.…
We just had two fantastic weeks at Anantara to celebrate a 70 year birthday. The quality of the location, food and staff service was excellent at all times. Our sunset villa on the beach exceed our expectations. The Christmas celebrations were fun with something for everyone while respecting the social distancing requirements. While the natural beauty of the Maldives is well known it’s the quality of the staff who made our dreams come true
The Ananatara Dhigu is a perfect Maldives destination with young children. The staff were wonderful, supportive and after 12 days we were sad to say goodbye. The room rates are great value for money, we stayed in a Sunrise Villa and it was big enough to accommodate both kids along with my wife and I. Via Dhigu and the surrounding islands there are a number of top quality restaurants offering a high range of cuisines and options. Fantastic activities on offer including great surf, snorkeling and diving spots close to the resort. The Spa is absolutely a must try, best massages my wife and I had in a long time. As with any Maldives holiday you get stung with all the extras upon check-out but overall it is a good value for money compared with other Maldives resorts.
