NUMBER OF ROOMS
A rare find, Sunnyside is the perfect getaway for crazed citydwellers like me and anyone looking for a comfortable, restful spot. The views, rooms, conversation with hosts, and breakfasts exceed all expectations, and one is forced to relax while taking in all the beauty and charm. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Stayed 2 nights. Farm home atmosphere, located in the country. Quiet. Bedrooms clean and cosy on upstairs level. Beautiful view from Lake room - you can watch the freighters come through the channel right across the road as they go to and from Lake Huron and Superior. The hosts were happy to accomodate any needs. They had a small den for guests near the bedrooms. Had Wifi. Shared bathroom upstairs, but very clean and stocked with all needs. Lovely breakfasts - french toast with fruit, local maple syrup, yogurt parfaits, Canadian bacon, etc. Wonderful big front porch with comfy chairs and blankets if needed, to sit on and watch the water and the ships. Would go back!
If you enjoy sitting on a front porch watching freighters go by, this Bed and Breakfast is for you. Sunnyside is a comfortable, spotlessly clean Bed and Breakfast with intelligent, interesting hosts. Breakfast prepared by Sunnie was everything you'd want it to be. Clare has a gift for conversation and making you feel welcome. We were blessed to have these two people in our lives for the two nights we stayed with them. We thank them for the wonderful time we had on Saint Joseph's Island!
If you have a chance to get up to or around by St. Joseph Island, Ontario - its worth your time to stay at Clare and Sandy's Bed and Breakfast. As hosts, they are second to none and we were so very grateful for their hospitality. We pulled in on our motorcycle just as it started to rain and they made space in their garage for us to park the motorcycle overnight. And . . since it was raining, they volunteered to drive us in to town for dinner and then picked us back up afterwards. Later that evening, it was great to visit with both Clare and Sandy as they shared with us a bit of history surrounding the island. We sat out on their front porch talking as freighter's passed by in their front yard. We had to leave earlier than normal the next morning to get ahead of the rain that was expected later on. We left by around 6:30am, and an incredible breakfast was ready for us by 6am. Thanks Clare and Sandy for an incredible experience!…
Spent 2 wonderful nights at Sunnyside B&B a week ago and loved it! Sitting on the front porch watching the freighters go by and the deer eating fallen apples were 2 highlights. Accommodations were comfortable and inviting and included a lovely sitting room. Breakfasts were delicious and beautifully served. Most of all our hosts were genuine and friendly. Thanks Clair and Sandy!
