We stopped for lunch at this Hosteria on our tour of the area. The lunch was very good, intially we were the only people in the restaurant, but a small family group did arrive later; although there were a number of young people at the establishment What struck me was the actual establishment - it had many facilities and was...

I think it was one of the most beautiful cities I've ever visited. I loved the downtown, the clean streets, the park and the very friendly people. With my friends we took a bus in the center, that bus first took us to Gualaceo a nearby town of Cuenca where we could know the markets, and an incredible view on...

I would like to first start by saying that our family had an amazing and memorable stay at Santa Barbara Hosteria. In addition to being a picturesque location for our nephew's wedding, Santa Barbara's charm and warmth more than satisfied the needs and wants of our family. Our rooms were spacious, clean and inviting. The grounds of the Hosteria were...

The grounds are great and the scenery is very green and peaceful. The pool is closed on Mondays for maintenance but open every other day. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious. The food is a bit pricey and room service isn't available after hours but the receptionist offered to call a fast food place that offers deliveries....

The hotel is very pretty and the grounds are beautiful. The dining room needs much assistance as the service is very slow with many requests for water, coffee, etc. I don't believe the dining room is well managed and the food is not consistent. Signs are not placed in the walking areas when mopping floors and we did encounter an...

I can only comment about the restaurant, we didn't stay at the hotel, but had dinner here last night. The place is pretty epic in scale and the setting is very beautiful. The restaurant was totally empty which surprised us a little. I have ordered a mix seafood Ceviche and a tropical salad. The food and service was excellent and...

Had lunch in the restaurant with our small tour group. The food and service was excellent and the presentation of the food is worthy of photo. The grounds are spectacular. Worth going out of your way for a meal. Don't know anything about the rooms, but if everything else about the facility are any indication, they should be great.

Have eaten here twice in last two years, both times as part of a tour through Gualaceo and Chordeleg. Both times meals were outstanding, with desert included. Can't comment on the Hosteria, except to say the grounds are pristine.

This beautiful property overlooks most of Gualaceo, Ecuador. The location is quiet and the staff are professional and friendly. The rooms are very nice and there is free wi-fi. On weekends, there is a buffet breakfast and on weekdays, breakfast is made to order. This is a very nice property and a good value for the money.

“We stayed in room 115 which had a beautiful view of the mountains and courtyard. It was very quiet as it was an end unit on the main floor. There are cabanas which are more spacious and ideal for families or larger groups. If you want a larger room with more amenities, simply ask.”
