The Margaritaville Resort Casino is often praised for its tropical atmosphere and overall cleanliness, providing guests with a pleasant setting. The array of amenities, including diverse dining options, a well-equipped gym, and the casino, are frequently highlighted as highlights of the stay. However, some travelers have pointed out maintenance issues within the hotel and specifically in the rooms, noting unclean surfaces and malfunctioning amenities. Although the service is generally well-regarded, there are occasional grievances regarding inconsistent charges and service. Moreover, patrons have criticized the resort for its supplementary fees and questioned the value for the cost incurred.

Things to know:
There is no microwave, but they have a coffee maker (the kind with a little plastic disposable tray). No soap bars, but plenty of bottles of stuff. Only 2 bath towels. Smaller fridge (the shorter kind). Wonderful make up mirror.
Bed was normal hard, but pillows were heavenly soft. The a/c thermostat is on the wall. Easy to operate.
Many people get drunk and forget to put their mask on in the elevator. We would refuse to get in and waited on the next elevator. Be ready for that. Lots of alcohol seems to flow in this hotel and casino.
Parking was always easy. I wish I would have seen at least one security person outside. It did feel like it was the safest casino though.
The hotel is non-smoking. The casino seems almost non-smoking. I saw just one girl smoking in the entire casino. We took our own coffee cups into the casino (they may have been spiked). Drink service was fast once you sit down at a machine. Not enough penny machines.
The pool area seemed closed, but I think the hot tub was open. It was a nice temperature. I wonder if my pink flamingo is still in it.
I will not stay at places that have resort fees and this one did not. I expect that to change when they open the outside bar and restaurant.
Management needs to know that the elevator floors need to be cleaned or at least checked more than once a day.
Lastly, the $100 deposit was refunded about 4 days later to my card w/ no problems. These deposits are really hard to get used to.

With the best lighting, fresh and well kept floors & seating and a humming vibe Margaritaville is getting close to the perfect casino...just needs to make that last move to get "always open" food options expanded so you don't have to leave for a quick bite to spend less than a "room service" price tag. Slot games are a little heavy on the "oriental' theme. Table games include the usual.

From the time I checked in to the time I left, I had a very enjoyable stay.

I sent the car to the Valet. Bag person assisted me to check in and up to my room. The room was located on the 19th floor and had a cool view of the area.

My room was very clean and had a (Nightly) snack amenities and water in the room. Vending right down the hall. The bed was very comfortable! Bathroom was very clean and modern.

I ate at the property in the Crafthouse. Great food and staff. Cool view of the Red River.

Since I was in on business, I didn't have time to hit the casino. But the place was packed and everyone looked like they were having a great time.

The location is next to what I believe is an "Outlet Mall." All within walking distance.

I will stay here again on my next visit to Bossier City / Shreveport.

I have visited this property and stayed on numerous occasions. I am very disappointed in how they have not maintained the upkeep. The room was dirty. We literally had to wipe down the surfaces, bathroom etc before we could even occupy the room. I understand they have been hit hard by the pandemic, but at least discount the rooms or lower the price to match the expectations. The only thing going for this property is the location, but unfortunately so many of the shops on the boardwalk are closing, so location is not even a selling point.

Let me start by saying I typically like Margaritaville, visiting 1-2x a month. My most recent trip was disappointing. The room had no soap at all. A dirty, hairy razor was left in place of where the soap dispensers are located in the shower stall. It was obvious the bathroom was not checked. My friend who also went on this trip never had his room made up after the first night despite calling that afternoon and requesting maid service. I’ll go again as one bad hotel experience out of many may be a fluke, but another episode like that might change my mind.

We had visited different casinos on our 3,000 mile road trip; but Margaritaville in Bossier City had the BEST Covid-aware practices! The slot machines were separated by plexiglass; and the moment a patron left one, the staff came over to sanitize the chair and machine. Couldn't have been safer. Felt really comfortable.

I visit Margaritaville monthly. No more. Why!?!
Jan. 2020 I had to cancel due to an illness. I called 22 hours before my check in time. No problem.
Feb. 2020 I again had to cancel due to the same ongoing illness. I called 30 hours prior to my check in and was informed I would be charged a nights stay. The reason, I was outside of their cancellation policy. I informed the lady about last month’s cancellation. She said, “ sorry but that’s our policy”. I ask to speak to her supervisor. She came back on after four minutes and said they could reduce that price to $25. I never got to speak to her supervisor. I said, “thanks” and hung up the phone. I called the property about fifteen minutes later. I spoke to a VIP host and was told that a hotel supervisor would call me back. It is now day two and still no call.
Margaritaville Bossier City, La. is really good at passing the buck. No more visits from me.

We stayed here two different times within a month.

First room had a corner balcony. Room definitely showing it’s age. Cigarette burns on the carpet and nightstand.
Room was clean and beds were comfortable.

Second room. Room without balcony. We had to wait for someone to inspect the cleaning of the room to get in. But this room was dirty. Toilet was dirty, major dust on lights and edges. Didn’t see until taking a shower that there was hair all over the walls of it. When we first got in the room, I had to wipe down the toilet and decided to wipe everything else down and I sprayed the shower floor with Lysol.

The beds were comfortable and this room was in better shape with no cigarette burns.

The casino was super busy in the evenings with the machines getting super dirty on our first stay. On our second stay the bellman said they were hosting top players that weekend. It seemed there were more cocktail waitresses and the machines didn’t seem as dirty.

Food was good at the restaurants.

Employees were friendly.

We have always liked staying here but after the dirty room we might try another casino/ hotel.

We went to this casino as it was recommended from a friend. We drove 7 hours to get there and there was a lot to be desired. The hotel room was good, but don't forget anything, They don't offer any kind of store for forgotten items, or snacks, water bottles, etc. They leave it up to the overpriced vending machines for that.
The restaurant options looked very favorable until we arrived and only one of the 6 restaurants was going to be open the entire duration of our stay. A quick journey down for breakfast told us all we needed to know about what to expect. No staff at the desk to check in the 20+ people who were waiting before we got there, and then a rude lady crying about being understaffed, and it would be about an hour wait to even get a cup of coffee. Don't expect to be able to get your own water, coffee , or soda as the "self serve" drink stations were not working either. $4 would get you a cup of coffee from the "coffee bar" if you were willing to stand in line for 10 - 15 minutes. We left and went elsewhere for breakfast and checked out the neighboring casinos along the way. It seemed like the casino floor was divided in two halves by the tables, the old side and the new machine side. The older version of "one - liners or one arm bandits" had a majority of machines down for service. Most of the machines we played on both sides had difficulties with the card readers so we just gave up with the whole "rewards program". Good luck if you want a drink while on the floor. We had to go to the bar (only 1 bar in the whole joint??) and pay for our drinks because you would literally die of thirst waiting on one of the three waitresses to come by. Bring your cash as well because there is nothing like waiting in line for 1- 15 minutes at the only bar to pay $7 for a drink. Dinner was no better as the only restaurant now had a two hour wait for a table. We left and found a nice restaurant. If this casino would like you to stay here and enjoy what it has to offer, it needs help.

MESSAGE SENT TO MANAGEMENT: I stayed in Room 615 December 25th, departing December 27th. Upon pulling down the covers on the bed, there were a bunch of brown marks on one side. At that time I was exhausted, slept on the other side of the bed, and decided to inform the Front Desk the coming morning. At 11:00 on 10/26, I informed the front desk and showed them the picture I took. I was told their laundry was sent out, but I then stated the sheets were still put onto the bed. He said the sheets would be changed. NO ONE came to change them, empty the trash, provide clean towels, or any daily requirements. When I pay $344.00 for two nights stay, I expected, at the very least, to have my room cleaned. I would appreciate a response and resolution to these issues in order to resolve this matter.
