We booked for 3 nights and came back for a fourth. The hotel is clean but needs updating. We booked a room with 2 beds which were comfortable but small. The area seemed very safe, which was why we picked this location. The staff the first 3 days were fantastic. We left and started home and came back for one more day. After a day in New Orleans we showed up before 9 PM. We rang the bell, called the phone and looked around the property for 45 minutes before the lady at the desk showed up. There were also 2 different guests waiting for her. When she finally came back she shooshed us for calling for her. If we hadn't paid over the phone we would have went elsewhere. There are good and not so good things about our stay.

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Stayed two nights while visiting my son who is stationed at the Naval Base. My only complaint is the smoking. When we returned from lunch the hall outside my room reeked of marijuana. Smoking is allowed in some rooms so if you have allergies be sure to ask for a room away from the smoking rooms

Quiet and secure little place. Front desk staff very friendly. Owner appears to be on site regularly. Good washer and dryer for the working man. I did not see any pool, but they may have one. Plenty of food choices close by. Breakfast is better then most. They run a tight ship as far as check in rules go, so no riff raff to contend with. I will be a regular going forward,

The elevator stopped working and was told they don’t come out on the weekend. I said yes they do and she said we won’t pay for that. Pool was closed due to not being cleaned. Only one channel on the TV Toilet and sink made noise every time it wS flushed or on. Told the lady we would check out early and she said we can’t refund you. I said that’s fine discover will take care of me. And she said you do that and see what happens.

It's clean, affordable, and has friendly staff. The continental breakfast is standard with cereal, muffins, bread, bagels, yogurt, oatmeal, and some miscellaneous items. The rooms have a fridge, microwave, & desk. The beds & office chair in the room are comfortable. It's located on a curve, so you can't turn left into it. You have to go down and make u-turns. I could smell smoke in the hallways. The tv remote didn't work very well (maybe needs new batteries), and the sleep timer didn't work at all. The printed tv channel listing includes unavailable channels.

My husband and I came to Belle Chasse to visit family and the Riverside Hotel provided everything we needed. Very clean, quiet, and convenient to anywhere we wanted or planned to go. The Front Desk Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The Housekeeping and Maintenance Staff always greeted us with a smile and "good morning" each day. Breakfast was just what we expected and fit our needs. Hard boiled eggs and sausage & egg biscuit sandwiches rounded off choices of cereals and breads. Bananas and juices were available, too. We were the first in our family to stay at the Riverside Hotel, and will recommend it for others who plan on visiting in the future. We will definitely return for our next family visit!

My two very young children and I spent 4 days at the Riverside Hotel recently as my husband was working nearby for several weeks. Safety, cleanliness and customer service are my biggest concerns when traveling alone with the kiddos and this place nailed them all. I really wasn't interested in spending a lot of time in New Orleans so while the hubs worked all day we spent most of our time in the very nice and kid friendly pool. It is covered so even in the heat of the day it wasn't too hot for us. They also start serving breakfast at 5 am to accommodate the business travelers. Hot coffee is available in the lobby all day long! Overall--nothing fancy but totally recommend for people needing a room in Belle Chasse.

We stayed at Riverside because of its location close to our friends' house. The hotel was very clean and quite. It did have a refrigerator and microwave oven in the room which was a great help. They also had complimentary breakfast. Great place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The front desk staff were polite and accommodating at all times. Our room was clean and ready when we arrived. Such a comfortable bed, slept very well. Breakfast is served every morning and includes many items and hot coffee! Coffee pot in room along with refrigerator. Handicapped rooms are also available.
