My wife and I stayed at the Stockade B&B for three nights earlier in October. We loved every aspect of our stay and we would return to the Stockade in a minute. This is a beautiful property that is filled with antiques, art, and other beautiful objects. The rooms are spacious and decorated tastefully. The breakfast every morning was delicious and plentiful. We made our reservation shortly before our stay and the owner figured out how to juggle rooms to accommodate us. Our hostess gave us great advice on sightseeing and we visited the Laura Plantation and took the Last Wilderness bayou tour based on her advice. This was great advice because we thoroughly enjoyed both tours. Sammie’s Grill across the street offers great food, including many seafood dishes. This is one of the nicest B&B’s that we have ever visited.

We stayed 3 nights in the Garden Room for our honeymoon, and I wish we could have stayed longer. The hospitality was above and beyond. The food and local coffee were fantastic, and the kitchen happily accommodated allergies and special requests. The rooms were clean and oh so cozy, too. I would love the chance to stay again! Take time to enjoy Janice's fabulous art collection!

We have stayed here on three different occasions, and each time it is top notch. The rooms are comfortable, there are multiple channels on cable to choose from, it offers clean rooms and bathrooms with great water pressure in the shower. Each room has individualized heating and cooling along with ceiling fans. There is a small refrigerator, water, soda, and coffee machine within the room. There is a large central living space with comfy couches and chairs. The breakfast is marvelous, hot, and nutritious. The outside grounds are spacious and beautiful to walk through. There are many books, puzzles, DVDs and games for entertainment. Jerry and Janice are accommodating, friendly, and in no way intrusive. This is a half way point for us to stop on our way to family, and we look forward to staying here again,

My wife and I stayed one night in the Garden Room on our way back from Destin heading to Houston. The Stockade was everything we were hoping for - quiet, secluded surroundings and a restful break. Our room had a nice updated shower, a balcony and wooded views. Clean and peaceful plus an enjoyable breakfast talking with the other guests and Janice, the Innkeeper. All in all a wonderful experience at The Stockade. We hope to have the opportunity to stay there again in the future.
