Location was great and pool has an awesome view of the river. The rooms were pretty worn out and dated. The desk chair in my room was completely destroyed and leaning to one side so I couldn't even sit in it. My Hilton Honors was not recognized here for some reason so there was no upgrade or any acknowledgement. Staff was friendly enough. Valets were great. Not a lot of insulation between rooms so I could her the tv next door. Overall was ok.

Hotel's Favorite
Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center has become my ONLY choice of hotels during my stays in Baton Rouge. Hilton Baton Rouge differentiates itself with exceptional associates that excel in customer service. Each associates insures your stay is more than "a stay", it is an experience. My recent stay was for two nights therefor I got to know several of the associates first hand. Josh, Monet, and Jared at the front desk always greeted me with a smile as I was coming and going. Most importantly they always asked how I was doing (and be sure to ask Monet about the "Nicholas Cage room"), and if there was anything they could do to insure a memorable stay - - - which it was because the took very good care of me, and always made time for conversation with a smile. Delvin at the restaurant/bar always made conversation, and insured I had a relaxing dining experience (food was great). I was also blessed to have met the General Manager Tim. It was refreshing seeing Tim throughout the hotel each day interacting with guests, to also insure everyone's stay was a memorable experience. Also worth noting the Hilton Baton Rouge Capital Center has the best downtown location of any hotel in Baton Rouge, setting right next to the Mississippi River. If you love to run or take a walk, there is a perfect paved trail that runs along side of the Mississippi River - - - outstanding views of both the rive and city. The hotel is right next to numerous downtown restaurants and a beautiful tree lined street park. The Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center is one of my favorite hotels in the country with its location, charm, and most importantly the people. I look forward to my next return. Thanks.

Egypt, Kole, & Kel……. You guys are awesome! I can’t believe I forgot my bestie’s name. He worked the PM Shift, FRIDAY September 9th, black guy, with dreads at the bar. He was soooooo accommodating. The hotel is extremely clean, European style, but clean and if no one warns you let me. We decided to Uber to Tiger Stadium. Well no one told us about the lack of Uber situation after the game…………….. We walked from Tiger Stadium to the hotel. 2.9 miles; however the cops were there and it was perfect.

I was on a business trip a few weeks ago and decided to stay at this Hilton. I was not impressed. The front staff was friendly but the check-in person told me the staff has a contest going. The one with the most good reviews gets a $50 gift card. He then proceeded to text me several times to see how my stay was going. Annoying. The room wasn't anything special and the place needs an upgrade. The lobby area has torn / overly worn seating. The bar area was nice and the food was good but they have a limited menu. The worst part was the fact that they have no parking, only valet service at $33 a day. So you have to wait for your car every time you want to go out. Oh, and don't bother with the digital key you use from your phone...it doesn't work. I can't say it was a horrible stay but I can't say it was great either. Do some research before you decide to stay there.

Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center hotel is one of my favorite places to stay around the country, and I look forward to always coming back. On this trip I was blessed to be greeted by Betty at the front counter, and Betty made my stay an experience. I got to know Betty during the course of my two night stay, and Betty handled each one of my requests with a smile and perfection. Betty always has a smile and the perfect individual to welcome guests to the hotel. The Hilton Capitol Center has a historic look and feel, which makes it feel grand. The back side of the hotel overlooks the Mississippi River, and I appreciate the view when I sit in my room doing some work. Rooms are quiet. I was delighted to see the Concierge Lounge is open. The hotel has a breakfast option. Staying two nights, I was extremely pleased of the care Asia of housekeeping took great care and cleaning of my room. Thank you Asia. The hotel is perfectly situated in downtown Baton Rouge. Each morning I run and there is a perfect running/walking paved trail along the Mississippi River, which is a short block from the hotel. There are also many restaurant options within walking distance. Thank you Betty for making my stay wonderful and an experience. I appreciate you and your smile.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capital Center for two nights while I was in town on business. The entire hotel staff including valet, bellman, front desk, executive Lounge, and housekeeping were very accommodating and welcoming. We ordered food from the restaurant downstairs which was brought up by room service. It was truly delicious! Our only complaint was the limited lighting in the room since my husband worked from the room while I attended offsite meetings during the day. We also had our mini schnauzer along for the trip which the hotel allowed. She just loved all the attention the friendly staff would give her when we passed through the lobby. It was one of the most pleasant hotel stays I’ve had in quite sometime and definitely deserving of a 5 star rating. Mr Brian our Valet sent us off with a warm smile and first class service when we departed. I would most certainly stay here again when in the Baton Rouge area.

We recently hosted our 4-state annual conference at the Hilton Baton Rouge and had a wonderful time. We can't say enough about Felicia and her team. There wasn't one request she didn't fulfill quickly and with a smile. Shane and his team rocked AV. Herbert and the ENTIRE bell staff were absolutely incredible always going over and above. Betty was excellent at the futon desk. This is one place with the front line makes every guest feel welcome.
