Took my godson to football camp and stayed here for the first time, heavily Lsu themed hotel which we both loved, nice clean rooms friendly staff and if you have a function on campus this is the place to be. No restaurant or lounge but easy access to restaurants nearby.

Traveling with a wheelchair bound companion is never easy. Even when you are told a room will be ADA compliant, you wonder how minimally compliant it will be. There is no need to be concerned when you stay at the Cook Hotel! We stayed in a King Jr. Suite and it was amazing! The hanging rod in the closet was at a height he could reach. The roll in shower had a large fold down seat, not the tiny ones that are usually installed. There was also a portable bench he could use.

We stayed here one night during a college visit with my son. It's very clean and spacious. The back pool patio was beautiful, however it closed very early -- lights were turned out prior to 9pm (?). I must say that I asked for a room change because they had put a party of four young adults in the room RIGHT NEXT to us, even though the hotel did not appear to be crowded at all (does this make it easier for the maids?). I could hear every word through the wall and knew I'd never get any sleep, so I asked for a different room. The breakfast was NOT good. Biscuits the size of a half dollar -- I over heard them saying something went wrong with the biscuits. Sausage was good, coffee was good, so didn't starve.

Thank you for your review. The word got to me about the biscuits the moment I hit the door that morning and I went to the chef. That won't be repeated again for sure. I believe the pool error was a mistake unless it was due to an electrical issue. Our hours are 6 am to 10 pm for the pool. My apologies. Often time, room placement is just random, though it can be driven by a floor being offline for carpet cleaning, etc. I hope that when you return to campus, you will stay with us again and we can meet your expectations.

Enjoyed the top-floor view and comfortable room. Two double beds (a bit soft) pretty much filled the room, but all the essentials are here and done well. Breakfast buffet was good, pretty standard fare with waffle maker, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cereal, fruit, pastries. Staff coming by to make up the room at 3:30-4pm caught me unprepared, but I caught them before they opened the door fully.

This hotel is very clean and has spacious rooms. It is located on the LSU campus and is the perfect place to stay for visiting students or going to events on campus. It is kid friendly with a very nice and courteous staff.
