Detailed Reviews
This resort was luxury from end to end. What a beautiful little house we stayed in called the Logan. It was equipped with the finest linens and towels. There were plenty of plush towels and many fluffy pillows on the beds. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything to host a thanksgiving feast, including fine China and a stocked nespresso with many coffee flavors. They also had gourmet loose leaf teas and luxury soaps in the bathroom. This was as fine an experience as staying with a St. Regis, Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. There no finer more luxurious place to stay in Lexington metro area.

We stayed in the lovely Logan Cottage for a family wedding in nearby Danville this past weekend and I would highly recommend this for anyone who has an event in Central Kentucky area. What an outstanding experience! This beautifully remodeled place was perfectly done with 5-star luxury/convenience combined with old world charm; from the front porch swing to the beautifully landscaped backyard with matching birdhouse, it was a real treasure. We stayed here with 2 small children and it was great having the yard for the kids to burn off energy, fully stocked modern kitchen, comfortable beds and great bathrooms. The furniture is lovely, artwork exquisite. I told my husband that I would really love to move there to live!! Staff were very friendly & extremely helpful. Bluebird Cafe is a dining experience not to be missed and is only steps away. Would definitely return to this venue if I am ever in this area for overnight stays.

+1
This little town tucked away in south central Kentucky is a hidden gem. The people are happy and it’s easy to know why, as being here is like stepping back to a time where everyone knew your name. The downtown district along with the surrounding area has been preserved and protected from outside development, and hoards of money have been put into its preservation. The Inn and its compliment of historic properties is a jewel, and it’s management stellar. This company, and this town are going now where but up, and doing big things along the way!

Todd, thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to share your review of The Stanford Inn. We feel privileged to get to host great guests such as you and "Slashy". It was a pleasure to meet you. It is our desire that when guests stay with us, they feel the nostalgia and slow pace of days gone by. We are so glad to hear that you experienced just that. We look forward to seeing you again in Stanford. Thank you for your support.

While we, -in general-, respect and appreciate the effort to turn an entire community around by restoring several Main St. properties, we didn't enjoy our stay. Except for the painters and their myriad of paint buckets and gear in the hallway nobody was present to greet us, help us or otherwise. The room was impossible, cramped, (uncomfortable mattress), so was the bathroom, with no place to put things, a glass shower door which hits the shower head. The renovation is amateurish, which results in a noisy room (Bad idea: New windows in historic brick wall!). All this for a rather hefty price. We won't be back.

This guesthouse in a rehabbed building in this historic downtown is extremely well-done, and not just on the surface. In addition to good-looking rooms and common areas, the water pressure is great, the bed is comfortable, and the towels are fluffy and plentiful. Definitely the place to stay in the area!

FABULOUS! The rooms are charming, very clean, and the bedding is luxurious. These folks go out of their way to provide every amenity you might need, and are very gracious. I have also stayed at one of the guest houses, and the same is true there. Stanford is a beautiful town with wonderful shops and friendly, hospitable people.

Our family reunion group included people from California to Colorado to Maryland. We rented 3 houses from Wilderness Road. We were all pleasantly surprised to find such elegant and up-to-date accommodations in the tiny, historical town of Stanford. Each home still kept the small town, vintage feel. Everything was clean, nicely decorated, and topped off with lots of little extra surprises like homemade goat's milk soap and lotion in the bathrooms.

We stayed here as a girls overnight during the Bourbon Chase relay and it was charming and perfect. They have done an amazing job renovating so the inn has all the historic charm and warmth but very modern in convenience and comfort. We loved the location of the inn, all of the little touches, and just how comfortable and clean it was. Stanford itself was a lovely town, and we’d highly recommend shopping in the soap shop downstairs where they carry a variety of pottery and beautiful items, many of which are made by survivors of domestic abuse and human trafficking. Our only regret is that we could not have spent more time here!

We stayed a night at Logan Cottage for a quick and long overdue anniversary getaway. Our intentions were to stroll through the downtown shops and have lunch at the Bluebird which would take us up to check-in time where we could settle in before dinner reservations in nearby Danville later that evening. You can read about our Bluebird experience (or lack thereof) under the Bluebird's TripAdvisor listing. Logan Cottage was everything it was advertised and then some. The home was spotless, the baths were both updated and clean, no lack of books to read, and the house is surprisingly quiet given the age. The original wood floors set off this home, along with the functioning windows above the bedroom doors. The blinds/shutters in the windows are another amazing feature. You will not find more comfortable bed linens short of a $400 per night hotel, and the heat/air maintains the house very comfortably. I will say, seems like the living room is much cooler than the rest of the house on a cold night, to get it comfortable for spending a lot of time in there you're going to be a little stuffy in the other rooms but this is a minor thing that many probably wouldn't even notice. Wife mentioned when we got home needing to book again in Dec. to take the kids to stay and travel around to look at Christmas lights so we will likely be staying again very soon.

Stanford KY is an amazinly quaint town that is benefiting from the investment of a local business family. The transformation along Main Street is really admirable. Their property at St Asaph is impressive. My "tiny" room was impeccably clean, well presentef with fine linens, heavy towels and all the trimmings. A perfect spot for an overnight in such a lovely setting. I will be back!
