The location is excellent for access to the state parks for hiking. The sites were postage stamp sized and there was a jockeying for an available fire ring and/or picnic table. Our power did not work and the “volunteer” appeared to be more interested in his “set” for Karaoke than assisting us. He said “try another one”- Thankfully the people next to us shared an outlet. The bathrooms only had toilet paper Friday night. It should have been evident to staff as patrons now strolled to the faculties sporting a roll of “bring your own paper!” The showers were unusable and looked like a crime scene of dirt and neglect. Not sure about quiet hours, but the “volunteer” belted out Karaoke until 11:30pm and throughout the day did sound checks and a few songs. It was hard to hear my husband around the fire due to the level. We would have never booked a place that did Karaoke. We camp each weekend, but this one is in need of management that is able to basically maintain the facilities and save the Karaoke for at home so the patrons can enjoy the perfect location. The guests were friendly.

Wish I had read the reviews before we went. Took my grandchildren, was hoping for a weekend out in the country. The campground was astoundingly loud. Manager had a karaoke sound system blasting as we pulled up and it did not stop until midnight on Friday. Saturday was worse. Several campsites had their own stereos that were full volume. No quiet time is posted and no quiet time is honored. Fine for a party crowd, lousy for families. Add to it, no hot water in the bathrooms, which were not clean, no paper towels and the hand dryers did not work. I DO NOT recommend this campground for families.

Nice campground. Was able to pull through with 27 foot camper. I Mistakenly booked a 50 AMP site. Owner graciously loaned an adapter. Nice and flat campground. Was easy to book a site for the date we wanted while all other campgrounds in the area were full. Will visit again.

This is a great campground for the whole family! Alan goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has a good time. This is a beautiful campground with easy pull through sites for campers along with many beautiful primitive sites. This is the only campground that I know that has karaoke. This campground is just off the Mountain Parkway which is a plus for us. We will definitely be back soon!

The cabin was cute and just what we needed. I knew it was on a campground but from the pics I guess I thought it was a little further from the campsites but not a big deal. It was still nice and as secluded or not as we wanted. However, the reason we chose that cabin over others not on the campground was the fishing pond but it was covered in algae. Very disappointed! The other issue was the music played at the office. The music with karaoke was so loud we couldn’t hear each other on the porch and played until 11 at night! We wanted a relaxing getaway which that was not. Play music and karaoke if you want- nothing against a god party, but not as loud or as late. Otherwise it was a great stay, the guy at the office playing the music was really nice and helpful, and May come back. Great place for families! Maybe more so than a relaxing couple getaway.
