Absolutely Fabulous! Such a Charming and Relaxed Place and just a few miles from Nada Tunnel's entrance to the Red River Gorge.Joe Bowen is the Host and he is amazing. He did 2 bicycle tours across the US and did cross country stilt walk to raise over $100,000 for Muscular Dystrophy! Will definitely stay at Bowen's from now on! Next... More

I went to the Natural Bridge State Resort Park on a day trip during my stay in Lexington and really enjoyed it. If you like hiking you will find beautiful trails and great scenery. I would recommend going early in the morning before it gets too crowded so you can enjoy it most.

My family enjoys going to State park Inns when we can, it's usually a little more costly but it adds a little to the experience. So to start off every piece of paper and email I've got since I made the reservation says (Natural Bridge State Park Lodge) when trying to find this place every sign says (Hemlock Lodge) ????... It was ok, the people at the front desk were all really nice. The room is a little dated and the place must be settling a little. Every door in the room dragged and didn't fit quite square. Room 152. The AC was off when I came in and the room was a little musty until the AC finally got... More

The lodge was full & the restaurant close to closing time, so the ladies at the desk found us a room in a hotel down the road while we grabbed a quick dinner. The food was good, because it was so late, we just ate the buffet & salad bar. There was a decent selection & the view was lovely.... More

We stayed here for two nights, and loved the fact that we could get to all of the trails right from the Hemlock Lodge! We stayed in room 113, which was pretty quiet (we requested it to be quiet.) The restaurant was super busy on the first night, due to the First Friday seafood buffet which is a huge regional... More

We stopped for breakfast here twice. Once when they had the buffet and once when we had to order from the menu. We found the food very good and reasonably priced both times. Our waitress was excellent the time we ordered from the menu. I would definitely recommend it, at least for breakfast anyway.

The nature is beautiful and the trails are fun. BUT that is not enough to attract people and to make them want to return and actually stay at the resort. We stayed at the cottage #207. It is a good place, but there was no effort to make it nice or attractive. No art on walls, no decorations. The kitchen... More

Yes, it's not the newest hotel. But I've never been to a state park where anything is the most modern. That's sort of the point. Plus I doubt the trails could be free (or the hotel affordable) if they tried to go blow-for-blow with the cookie-cutter chains. You can hike. Then check into your room. Then hike some more. Then... People don't come here for the hotel but still, the State needs to do some renovations. Looks very 1970ish. Good things: VERY close to trails (as in trail entrance is literally in the back parking lot and within 50 yards of lodging) Each room has a semi-private balcony Not outrageously priced Restaurant on grounds Not so good things: Everything is...
