We spent three nights in a park cottage while hiking at the park and mostly at nearby Red River Gorge. The cottage was nicely sized and equipped, although it was surprising that sugar and creamer weren't supplied with the coffee. Parts of the cottage had been updated (tile in the bathtub for example), while other parts needed work (damaged window...

We stayed Fri-Sun. Staff at lodge was great, very helpful. Cabin we stayed in was very well maintained. Cable tv, wood fireplace, central air. Be prepared for stairs. Stairs. And more stairs. We will return.

Spent 2 days and one night at the Lodge. Had a wonderful time. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was nice and the food at the restaurant was very good and well priced. The walk to the bridge and the surrounding areas were beautiful. We didn't want to leave.

We were road tripping north and happened upon it; stayed two nights to enjoy the rooms in the lodge, the good food, and the many well maintained trails from the lodge. Off season, so we could see many of the rock formations and mountains. Staff help was excellent. Highly recommend it.

We took a spur of the moment vacation before the season opening of most attractions, which is April 1. We rented a cottage for 2 nights. It was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only downside was no wifi in cottages and cabins.

I agree with everyone that this place needs updating. The old time feel is nice to some extent, but for the price of these rooms in the peak season updates are necessary. I haven't actually stayed here yet (plan to this year), but I work in the area and visit the hotel for work occasionally. From what I have seen,...

We did enjoy our stay but the lodge is in need of painting. The plumbing needs work also. The bed was comfortable. We were there for the New Years Celebration. Food was good but wished they sliced the prime rib thicker. Breakfast was good.

We stayed in room 120 at the Hemlock Lodge and I can honestly say it needed some serious updating. Furnishings looked like something from 1982 and the bathroom was terrible looking. The bathtub was dirty looking and the toilet looked like something you would see in gas station bathroom. There was rust on the floor and around the bathroom door....

We didn't stay overnight here, but stopped for two meals and enjoyed them. Good buffets! They seemed a bit short on help, but the servers did the best they could. Prices were very reasonable. Gift shop is also nice.

Location is the best thing but the room was really nice too. We had two double beds and a balcony which I believe is standard on every room. Everything was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to pick up the trail right behind the lodge and then having a pleasant place to spend the rest of the afternoon. The...
