Not pet friendly at all! Sites are very narrow and curved so there is no way to keep a big fifth wheel out of the grass! Very un level! Bring lots of blocking for front landing legs. 75%+ full timers and long term contractors get the outside shaded spots. Be prepared for lots of contractors big trucks firing up at... More

We Will never return! Park is clean but overpriced. Management (owner) lady is unpleasant and harassing at every encounter and seems to resent the RVers that don't live there. Not much of a "marina", just a very steep and narrow launch and an old bug-ridden ( wasps mostly) boat dock. Laundry has 2 old washers and dryers and everything closes... More

Nice campground, friendly camp host, beautiful scenery. Road to the campground is a bit narrow but easy to navigate, if you drive much in Ky. that's the way most roads are. Tons of history within a 20 mile radius. We are looking forward to going back.

Our experience was similar to a few of the recent reviewers. I had heard about this place on a recent list of 10 places to see in Kentucky. We wanted to scope it out - to see what it looked like, how it was set-up, for future planning. Within 2 minutes of arriving we were told to "just leave". We... More

Well, I've heard stories but I've never experienced campground owners who are biased against vintage campers until last night. En route from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to our home in Chicago, I had been driving long enough that I needed to pull over and get some sleep. I tried one campground, but they had gates across their entrance... More

When we arrived they changed our spot. I told the lady my daughter was behind us by an hour and how do we get them in as they have an electronic gate which is not needed as this place is so far off the beatin path, if you want a card to get through the gate they charge you $10.00... More

This was my second year staying in this park for a month or more. Located on the Kentucky River and secluded from any traffic or noise. The owners are great people and really strive to keep a well maintained park and pleasant stay for all by enforcing the rules only as necessary. The park has good WiFi but cell phone... More

The location of this campground is absolutely ideal. The amenities are adequate. The owners/operators are the absolute worst people for this job possible. They have the customer service/people skills of early Midwestern trailer park meth heads. My family and friends have been treated like unwanted trash. We have camped all over this state, and as far as the east coast... More

This campground is awesome! It is located right on the Kentucky River and has a Marina, Pool, Fully stocked store, laundry facilities, full hookups, beautiful scenery including the Kentucky River Palisades. Close to the Bourbon Trail (very close to Wild Turky and Four Roses). Really clean, quiet, and the owners are really great people. Can't say enough good about it.

This small secluded campground is just what you want if you are looking to relax. It is located on the bank of the Kentucky River. You will occasionally hear and see small boats, great blue herons, and other small wildlife. The showers could use some more water pressure, but the facilities and the overall campground were spotless. It is a... More
