This is absolutely the BEST hotel we have EVER stayed at. When you walk out of your room in the morning, the hallways smell so fresh and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Staff were more than helpful when our we had some difficulties at a different hotel. Breakfast was very good. I looked into another room that was being cleaned and they moved ALL of the furniture in order to clean every inch of the room. Staff was so friendly and considerate! Hotel was updated and super clean.

The room was very nice, clean, quiet and a good size. The staff was very friendly & helpful. One complaint is the shower. We could not tell how to turn the shower on. I finally kept pushing then pulling where the water came out & it worked. You need to put better instructions on the mirror or sink explaining it better. Also, the breakfast wasn't good at all! The sausage & eggs were cold, the coffee was weak even though I chose medium & added strong to it. I would've loved to have more options for fruit besides bananas. One other suggestion, not sure if it could be done, but having an overhang by the front entrance would be nice when unloading/loading the car especially when it's raining. EVERY hotel I've ever stayed at has one. Other than that, it was a nice stay. Thanks!

We only travel through Richmond every year or so and this is our second visit to this location. First visit was in 2019. We always look for a place to spend the night that is about halfway from our vacation point, to our home in Michigan and this location is about 10 hours from either. Because we were so impressed with our first stay here, we booked this Quality Inn once again. We have stayed at a multitude of hotels from Sharonville, OH to well below Richmond, KY and none, not one has surpased the 'quality' and price that we find at this location. Sure, we could spend a couple hundred and find a better place, but that is not what we are looking to spend to get a good nights sleep. This is not only the best place in the area I just described, but it is the cleanest and most cared for Quality Inn that we have experienced ever. Our only negative comment on the room was that the shower faucet handle needed to be tightened down with an allen wrench because it could come off in the future at a most inopertune time. The person at the desk this morning wrote it down, apologized that we had a bad experience with it (we didn't...only tried to save someone in the future from having a bad experience) and thanked us for alerting him and for staying at this location. In other words, he seemed to care and not that it was just a job. Next year on our way home from vacation, we will once again book this Quality Inn.

We arrived later than expected due to a twelve hour day on the road, and looked forward to unwinding and an evening workout in the exercise room. Upon entering the room, the sanitizer or air freshener they use was overpowering. We had to run the bathroom fan, which sounded a lot like being next to an airport, to help keep the smell from irritating our throats as much as possible. I changed and went to the outdoor exercise room, it had a decent selection of equipment, but I needed to walk after being in a car for (literally) twelve plus hours. Tried to program and start it several times, but kept getting an error code. In frustration, I went to our room, and my wife and I went to bed. The bed was very nice, the best part of our stay. Morning came and we went to pick up "breakfast," which has to be consumed in room due to the pandemic. They offered 2 cellophane wrapped breakfast sandwiches, a couple of doughnuts, juice, coffee or oatmeal packets. My suggestion, with such a bare bones offering, is to temporarily do away with breakfast and adjust rates accordingly. I reported the non functioning treadmill, which resulted in a "oh well" kind of response from the staff. No apology or anything - that lack of concern didn't set well with me. The hotel is in a nice location, nicely remodeled, etc., but the management /and staff sure could step up their game.

Booked for 1 night stay. Gave a 3/5 rating because the hotel made things right, however, the following were our concerns……. First noticed the coffee machine was out of order in the lobby. Walked into our room and before we could open the door, we heard the roaring of the ac. We were able to switch rooms. Went to get water out of any of the vending machines and they were all out, however the front desk was able to give us a couple bottles. The coffee maker in room only held filter coffee not K cups. Tasted like hot water not coffee. Overall the bed was comfortable. Didn’t feel the lack of quality we received matched the $150/night stay.

The Barnes Mill Road exit in Richmond KY has an abundance of hotels and restaurants. It's a highly competitive environment. We had the impression that the staff of this Quality Inn are doing their level best to earn patronage, taking pride in the renovations currently underway and genuinely caring whether guests are satisfied. Our king-bed room on the third floor had new furnishings and was freshly painted. It was altogether satisfactory, very clean and quiet. The breakfast offering included cereals, sausage, scrambled eggs. We would happily stay here again.

I checked in on Friday afternoon around 2:00 for my two-night stay, and the front desk clerk was very friendly. I asked him to put me in a room he knew to be quiet, and he did. He shared the wireless password and said it was easy to connect. I got to my room, and neither my iPhone nor my iPad would connect to wireless Internet. I walked to the front desk and shared that I was having trouble connecting. Rodney said they weren't having problems down at the front desk and told me he would look into it. (By the way, my phone connected to wireless when I was at the front desk. When I got back to the room, I was unable to connect.) He called me back and said he had walked up to the third floor and still had no problem connecting and insinuated that it must be my devices. He also let me know that no one else in the hotel was having problems connecting to the Internet. He said that I could use the "office" near the front desk. This "office" is a little desk in the lobby where everyone can walk by and see exactly what you're working on. Ultimately, he gave me a support number to call.
I called support, she took me through a number of steps, and she determined that multiple access points in the hotel were not working properly. She said she would call the front desk and ask that they reset the access points that weren't working and told me to continue trying through the evening.
I was without Internet access all evening and the next morning. Come to find out, my colleagues were also unable to access the Internet in their rooms. I was gone the majority of the day on Saturday. I was able to access wireless without issue in multiple locations. When I returned that night, I still had no Internet access. When I got up this morning to check out, I still had no Internet access. Unacceptable.
As for the rest of my stay...
The hotel is recently renovated, and it's clean. The air conditioner on the wall in my room was ancient. It rattled every time it came on overnight. The bathroom towels are paper thin, and breakfast is OK. You can hear every word of every conversation in the hallway. The staff is very friendly.
Listen, I know the Quality Inn isn't a five star hotel, and you get what you pay for. My big issue is that they did nothing to resolve the Internet issue. It's 2024.

The young man at the front desk was efficient and courteous, explaining what was what and how things were set up .
We had a spacious room, comfortable bed and a good shower. Everything was clean and we really liked that the toilet and shower had a separate room even though it was small. I really appreciated the fact that the exhaust fan in that room was more than adequate.
The only quibble I have with my stay, which keeps me from giving a five rating, is that we had an adjoining room through which we could hear our neighbors loudly and clearly. On our next stay, I will ask for a non-adjoining room.

Hello Deb,
The answer is no. For all guests who pay with a debit card, the hotel authorizes for an additional $100 as an incidental hold. We do the same for any guest who pre-pays for their reservation via a third party booking site (Expedia, Agoda, etc.), and uses either a debit card or credit card for incidental charges. When a guest checks out, the hotel releases all holds on both debit and credit cards. Your bank decides how long it takes for that money to be returned back to your account, and for some banks, the time is up to seven business days.
