We needed a basic one night hotel for a drive cross country and found this place. So happy. The front desk person the night we arrived was FANTASTIC. After we checked in, she walked with us to our room to check it out as she said it had been empty for awhile so she’d just put some air freshener in there and she was concerned about the strong smell. When we walked in, she was right – it wasn’t bad, it was just strong. But I would have lived with it – instead though, she graciously and proactively said that she didn’t feel good about that for us and would move us. Minutes later she was back with a key to a new room. Great service! And the room was really quite nice, with a spacious living room area plus bedroom. Location was also great, just off the interstate. Will stay again if our drive takes us this way next time.…
Walked in to signs covering the check in counter warning about potential additional fees and restrictions. Not very welcoming. Had to call them to get someone to come to the front desk. I had to sign a page saying I agreed to pay tye third party rate but it didnt say that at all ... The rate was left blank. I tried to explain this to the clerk, that it doesnt say anything about a 3rd party and it doesnt say a rate. She got hateful and said well this is just how we have to do it. I know it doesnt say that. ????? Like where is that acceptable?!? It was 3am and the room wad non refundable booked on Expedia so I just let it go. I will be closely watching my credit card statement. Speaking of Expedia, there is a sign at the desk, one of the many, asking customers not to book on 3rd party sites. My response to that is that maybe they should stop listing on 3rd party sites if that's how they feel. 🤷 Because otherwise I wouldn't have known about it and wouldn't gave booked at all. 🙄 Room is spacious but improperly used so that the bed area still feels cramped. Everything feels gross. There are stains on the bedding, a bug on the counter, black stuff dropped out of the ice machine which was really scary to get to btw .. Very isolated ... Not safe for a woman alone IMO ... Ice container lid was literally sticky with icky stuff, hair in the tub and in the bed. They use the triple sheet method here meaning they probably don't wash the comforters between guests. This place just absolutely sucks. Since moving from Kansas City to Atlanta 30 years ago I have stayed in hundreds of hotels within 2 hours of Paducah since it is half way. I have made the trip 2 dozen times in the past 2 years alone. This makes my top 10 worst list of all the hotels we have used.…
5 out of 5!! Very clean, exceptional price & customer service was excellent. Entire property was very clean. Room was the perfect temple when we checked in and remained comfortable all night. Beds were very comfortable. We travel quite a bit and this property will be moved to the top of our list for future stays.
Great price for two night stay which we had a king suite. very clean rooms and plenty of space. Right off the highway. Near to both Paducah downtown which is very nice and Metropolis. Shawnee is about an hour drive which is worth the trip Staff is very friendly, very clean rooms and hotel! beds are comfy and pillow as well.
Maybe it’s just me, but I wouldn’t sell a room in this condition. The bathroom door and lock set are severely damaged. The tub faucet rotates 360° with no physical off/on stops. The closet door needs serious maintenance. We didn’t dare force it open. And lastly, one of the bedside lamp switches is loose and can be pushed partially into the base. Depending on the switch design, this may be a shock hazard.
