I have stayed at this hotel and it is clean and nice. It is quality, affordable, and well maintained. Recently, I ran into an issue through hotels.com over a cancelled booking. Once the owner of the company got my complaint I was contacted personally thru her cell phone to fix the problem. They are good, honest people who do business right. I recommend a stay here at any time.
When we arrived almost a full hour early ahead of checkin time, I was greeted by Angie. She had a friendly smile and sincerely acted like she was even happy to have me there. She explained there were some ballgame tournaments in town and there were not any king suites, the room type I had paid for. I was really looking forward to a suite because hubby and I were actually there to have a little getaway and planned on utilizing the room. I asked her politely if she could take another look and she studied the rooms for several minutes that were still in the process of getting cleaned and found one for us. She said it would be just a couple of minutes until it was inspected, but it had already been cleaned. First off, I was very impressed that this hotel had an inspection procedure before turning rooms over to guests, especially since I’m oxygen dependent at times and needed a very clean, smoke free room. After a very short time of waiting in the nicely decorated lobby that had such a soothing color palette of various hues of blue, Angie motioned the keys were ready. After informing us of when breakfast is served, the WiFi procedures and also about the outside pool hours, we proceeded to the elevator. As we entered our room, I was first quite taken back at the spaciousness of it all. It had a nice seating area with a very comfy loveseat (that made into a bed if one needed) and had a very large, I’m guessing 60” Smart TV, fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Then in the next area of the room that was separated by a half wall and arch, was the king bed with ANOTHER 60”Smart TV! This was perfect as we were planning a movie night. The room definitely exceeded my expectations and we can’t wait till our next trip to the Owensboro area. Highly recommended great place to stay. I’ve stayed at all the major chain hotels in this town, and I’d put this hotel up against any of them as far as having comfortable accommodations...and the icing on the cake is the very affordable price point makes this hotel also a great value. Can’t wait till our travels take us this way again. Angie is also a valuable asset to this very nice property and I can’t thank her enough for helping us find a room that met all we had hoped for.…
The hotel was clean and comfortable, there was a hot breakfast every day, and the staff was very friendly and always working hard! There were a few things in the room that could use some updates, but overall a pleasant stay .
The staff was ultra friendly. The lady that checked us in on Saturday night was so friendly and caring. Then when we realized my son had left a library book in the room on Sunday, I called down on Monday. A lady named Tammy answered the phone and was kind enough to send the book via ups to my house. It arrived the very next day. The hotel was clean, the bathrooms were prepped like by someone who took great pride in their work. With a lot of business saying that they currently can't find help, Wingfield Inn and Suites has a good group of employees!
This is an older motel and it shows it, but it was clean, bed was comfortable, 95% of the staff was very friendly. It is not a quite motel. I could hear the traffic outside, and folks in other rooms. Did not get a chance to try the breakfast as we met family for breakfast. I would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at the Wingfield Inn. The room was clean and the public areas were well maintained. We have stayed at this location a number of times including when it was a Holiday Inn. I am happy that the building has been refreshed and seems to be moving forward. The only issues were nicks and cracks in a few areas that need to be addressed. Our bathtub had a crack in the bottom and there were nicks in the bottom of some of the doors. Overall, I was pleased with our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful and the entire stay was pleasant.
Facility is clean. Renovation is not complete but no issues. Breakfast area not complete so in front lobby. Food selection limited at best. Staff is friendly. Rooms are not well stocked missing cups, coffee, TP, etc. Overall nice place and would return.
We traveled and had a smallish dog with us. The public areas had new paint & carpeting. The room & beds were great. The hosts at the desk were Ryan B & Angie and could not have been nicer or more welcoming. This hotel is very covid careful. The reason for four stars instead of five is the the bathroom could use some upgrading. We will be back!
This hotel was great in every way. I have stayed in several hotels in Owensboro and this one outshines them all in every regard. The staff was amazing in every way, the rooms were clean and spacious. And the rate was superb. I honestly can not say enough good things about this location.
Big convention was in town so not much was available downtown. I found The Wingfield for an overnight stay and so glad I did. Room was very clean with modern microwave/fridge/tv. Online photos are not deceiving. Staff was friendly and efficient. Angie at the front desk was extremely helpful and was able to assist with some check in needs. I travel quite a bit and would rate this as a solid 4.9 of 5 for it's price class.
