Love this campground!!! We go every year as a family with around 40 people or so. Check in is seamless, campsites are clean, Rangers check in and are friendly, bath houses are cleaned multiple times a day. Can't wait until next year to stay again.

I was driving with the goal of another locale and stopped just to sleep and leave. I arrived just before dusk and was greeted at the gate and directed by a very friendly staff member to my reserved campsite. The site (C006) was very level, quiet and fairly private from the other sites. The drive is narrow but maneuverable and... More

Stumbled on Twin Knobs in an effort to escape the uncertainty of camping during the month of May in Michigan. One important item for people making reservations at Twin Knobs is that they cannot transfer you to another site or cancel at the office. We needed to leave a day early and tried 4 days before our departure and was... More

The sites are all very spacious and many are very private. The fall colors are beautiful if you go in October. There are double sites which have 2 picnic tables for larger groups or families. There are also premium sites with views of Cave Run Lake which are very pretty. The only downside is that none o the sites are... More

First time in twin knobs. Sites were well spaced and in great shape. Large fire pits, clean, solid tables on each site. The bathhouses are family houses so you can clean up with your family. Not as clean as I hoped but nothing disgusting. Recommend doing the observatory trail.

Our family has been holding our Family Reunion for the past 8 years at Twin Knobs group campsite. We absolutely love this campground thus the reason we continue to come back each year. However, this year at the Boat Gunnel site the water spigot had a leak which caused much standing water all around that area which can become a... More

A very nice campgrounds. Each site is spacious, cozy, shaded, and has privacy. The beach on the lake is nice, with facilities for playing volleyball and other activities. There is an amphitheater as well (we did not attend the weekend movie there). We enjoyed a lot in the lake swimming and playing frisbee. The loop where we were tenting had... More

This is a hidden gem in central/eastern KY. Sites are level and large with plenty of space and trees between. Grounds are clean and bathrooms/showers are extra large and also clean. Cute little store by the beach area with all the essentials you may forget. Hosts and check-in were very friendly. If you are looking to get away and be... More

Great views, hosts , clean bath houses, clean lake, huge spots and great bike riding and boating, kayaking, hiking. Only drawback is lack of full hookups. But you can't have it all. Fills up quick for weekends. Get there early in the week to get a lake view spot.

Beautiful campground and spots are pretty private. Agree with all the good reviews. Only reason I did not give it a five is because we have a motorhome and there is NO WATER. Luckily we were close to the bathrooms but very inconvenient with an elderly person with us that has to gp to the bathroom three or four times... More
