Enjoy your stay in Midway!
We had an excellent stay! Beautiful house and property. The owners made our stay the best and very accommodating. The location is right outside of Midway and close to Lexington. Breakfast each morning was very nice spread. We will definitely be staying there in our future visits.
We felt comfortable, safe, happy, and right at home with Annette and Tim. We are so grateful for their kindness and hospitality! I would absolutely stay again. We are looking forward to returning. The meals in the morning were to die for! So delicious. Annette and Tim were so accommodating as well. You will feel right at home but just a bit more spoiled. Beautiful place, wonderful area, amazing people!
We were blessed to stay at Scottwood B&B just after the reopening from COVID-19 shutdown. Guidelines for safety were being followed well. Annette and Tim are very gracious hosts. Annette goes out of her way to accommodate breakfast requests and her breakfasts are delicious! The English garden setting is secluded and charming. The carriage house was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. We would definitely come back.
What a wonderful stay!! Like a home away from home! Proprietors Annette and Tim were such gracious host. Annette is such an artist at preparing breakfast, you would swear she is a Michelin Starred Chef. Her husband Tim is so personable and has so much knowledge of the thorough bred industry. His stories are so fascinating, sometimes you almost forget that you have other places on you itinerary. Such a heartwarming way to soak up bluegrass country. Two thumbs up!! Sincerely Dean and Sahria from North Carolina
I had the good fortune of staying at Scottwood B & B for 4 nights in early August. I love the Midway KY area and Scottwood’s location fit my trip needs perfectly. Annette and Tim are the perfect hosts! We became fast friends sharing stories, laughs, and life’s blessings. The Inn is a dream. The furnishings, the food, the ambiance is not to be missed. I changed my plans the first day and sat outside on the porch filled with Kentucky history (there are many stories behind most of the furnishings so ask!) among the gardens soaking in the peaceful surroundings the entire day. See y’all soon Annette and Tim 💓
My wife and I recently stayed at the Scottwood B&B located in Midway, KY for the 3rd time in recent years. It is the perfect location to visit the Kentucky Horse Park (you don't need to be an equestrian to enjoy the beauty and education provided by the KHP), famous Horse Racing and Breeding Farms (you can arrange visits to some of these Horse Farms), Keeneland Racetrack, Bourbon Trail Tours and Wineries, great Restaurants and less than an hour to Louisville and Churchill Downs Racetrack. All of this and more. But perhaps the Best of all are Tim and Annette, Owners of Scottwood. You will not find a more Welcoming and Friendly Setting than Scottwood. You are treated as Family rather than guests who happen to be staying at this Wonderful B&B. My only disappointment is that we live in the Nashville TN area and don't get to see Tim and Annette as often as we would like. If you are visiting Kentucky, be sure to stay at the Historic Scottwood B&B - you will not be disappointed but rather you will find New Friends in Tim and Annette.…
We've been staying in B&B's since the early 90's and this place reminded us of those visits. Actual conversations with the owners, who welcome you into their home and make you feel comfortable right away. The connections to Williamsburg are neat, Breakfast was very good - enough to keep you going through a day with horses or the Bourbon Trail. The room was nicely appointed. Just remember, with these older houses, electrical outlets can be a bit sparse, but we managed to find enough to keep things charged. We'd definitely stay here again in the future.
My father and I had an amazing time staying at this location. Host Tim and Annette are very welcoming and have become instant friends. You will experience amazing accommodations and a fantastic breakfast in a beautiful rural setting.
My wife and I just spent two nights at Scottwood. Probably our 10th time here over the last 20 years. Scottwood is located in Midway Kentucky in the heart of the Bluegrass horse country. A most beautiful setting! The B&B was built in 1795 and is currently owned and operated by Tim and Annette Grahl. They are the perfect hosts and will make you feel special and at home. They also provide guests with a complete and delicious breakfast every morning. We hope to visit there many more times in the future. You will not be disappointed!
Scottwood Bed and Breakfast was our welcoming mat to Kentucky. Well-appointed with period furnishings, this very accommodating, historic home afforded us a most relaxing vacation. Nestled among the beautiful Kentucky horse farms, Scottwood offered us an easy commute to Lexington, Keeneland, Frankfurt, and the Bourbon Trail. The owners' efforts to attend to every need of ours was so appreciated, and the delicious gourmet breakfasts are definitely something to write home about!
