Yes a police officer from the Maysville police department did call me. But he called me to try and get me to remove my review. He thought he could intimidate. He didn't know I am a retired federal law enforcement officer. Bottom line is someone went into my room while we were gone and stole the ipad. We locked the... More

Our room was filthy and the hotel smelled like smoke. My expectations were not high going in but burn holes and ripped bedding didn't add to the charm. I have no idea why this hotel is rated so highly by patrons.

My sisters and I stayed here while visiting relatives. It is an absolute beautiful hotel and the staff, especially the night desk clerk were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was affordable and tasty. We are already planning another stay soon. I highly recommend you to stay here.

This is as good as it gets visiting family in this beautiful area. I am always treated like a king here. Had Ohio River view in Suite. It is just so nice here in Maysville (Limestone for really old people) and be able to see the amenity around this hotel. Great breakfast too.

Upon checking in I saw a "hotel Cat" sleeping atop the bird cage - with birds in it. Great atmosphere exceptionally clean and comfortable. Spacious rooms right in the heart of the historic downtown. Everything was within walking distance.

Service was good. My suite was a true suite not an average room. Bed was very comfortable. So were the pillows. Very nice but housekeeping could be better. WiFi wasnt very strong. Over all i would stay there again.

What a pleasant surprise. We expected a somewhat "run-down" facility, given Mayville's an older city. Although the theme & decor of the place is 1800's New Orleans, everything is modern & up-to-date. More 3 prong electric outlets in the room than most hotels, plumbing fixtures & furniture newer as well. We had a 4th floor room & the view of... More

Great old hotel with wonderful views. We loved eating on the balcony with friends and enjoying the scenery. Beautifully refurbished and maintained. Close enough to walk to downtown and enjoy the nightlife. Would highly recommend. Wonderful room with view.

A very nice, clean hotel. You'll feel like you've had a mini vacation, unlike staying in the usual franchise hotels. With a AAA discount, it was the same price as staying at the local Quality Inn, but with a much nicer setting. The restaurant is open for breakfast only and was very nice with friendly staff. If you try to... More

Someone went into our room and stole our ipad when we were out. I called the front desk and was told that nobody turned anything in. Didn't ask me my phone number nor did she sound surprised it happened. The ipad is being returned because of the tracking and because the risk of facing federal prosecution. But the desk clerk... Police Investigation Clears Hotel. On July 7th a Mr. Corde checked into our hotel. He checked out on the 8th as scheduled. That evening he phoned the hotel and insisted that someone had entered his room during his stay and stolen is iPad. Our hall security tapes revealed no evidence of a breech. At that point Mr. Corde was notified... More
