We booked the Seelbach for a convention of 160 members of our organization. I have done this every year for 19 years and the Seelbach is hands down the best experience i have ever had as a room planner. Spectacularly beautiful sleeping, dining, and meeting areas. The price was fair and the staff made NO mistakes during the 4 days... More

Would stay her again. Look forward to coming down later when the bbq resteraunt down the street opens up. The on site resteraunt will be nice to see and visit after the rehab project is completed. Will

The hotel was a wonderful mix between the Great Gatsby and American Horror Story: Hotel. Old world elegance casually transformed into modern day convenience via elaborate staircases, basement passages, hidden doorways, majestic ballrooms and, above all else, courteous staff. I was first greeted by David at the front desk. I commented on the lobby and he expounded on my interest... More

The Seelbach Hotel is an historic art institute on one. One must tour the hidden lower level ball rooms and relish in the beautiful architectural designs. This historic building offers great service and the executives level lounge feels like a bed and breakfast with the attentiveness of the staff. As with many older building, the bathrooms are small. Go for... More

More than 30 years ago, I had a job that required extensive work with hotels in downtown Louisville. My favorite was always the Seelbach, one of Louisville's grand hotels of an earlier era, renovated with taste and care by actor Roger Davis, a native of the city. I always found the property to be beautiful and the business well-run by... More

Hotel is clean and located within walking distance of several attractions such as; Louisville Slugger Museum / factory, 4th Street down under, Brown Hotel Restaurant, historical buildings, etc. Short ride to Churchill Downs and Cardinal Stadium. Would recommend to friends and family.

We were celebrating our 12th wedding anniversay and could not have asked for anymore of a hotel! From the check in to the check out, evening reception, morning breakfast and cleaniness and quiet of the room, everything was superb! This is the place we will return to every year!

I've stayed at several different hotels in downtown Louisville, and been to the Seelbach before for drinks and to gawk at the gorgeous architecture, but this was my first time overnighting. This is a grand dame classic Louisville hotel, even commemorated by F. Scott Fitzgerald in the Great Gatsby. Great location a block from Fourth Street Live and walkable to... More

From the friendly, helpful staff to the amazing architecture and appointments to the comfortable, cozy room, my recent visit to the Seelbach was outstanding! Reading the history packet provided at the front desk and later leisurely touring the hotel made for a relaxing, informative step back in time....
