First I have to say a huge Thank You to the staff at this hotel. We were in town for my son's wedding (at The Frazier) this past weekend and the entire staff at this property could not have been more accommodating and helpful. A special Thanks to Janet, Kiara, Brandon, Glover and John at the front desk between Fri-Sun. They were always friendly, helpful, and flexible. We had many rooms booked, and we also booked the Meeting Room off the lobby to use as both a hospitality room for out of town guests as well as a room the day of the wedding for the bridal party to get ready. It worked perfectly for both needs. All the rooms were clean, nicely furnished, spacious, comfortable and quiet. Really, what else can you ask for in a room? And the location was great for many venues in downtown along Main St, but especially ideal for us - just a few blocks walk to almost everywhere we were going. As for breakfast, I see people complain about whatever they are given. Yes, food service here is still covid-limited, and the hotel was very upfront that there was no hot-breakfast, just a simple continental breakfast. There was always hot coffee/tea, cereal and milk, orange juice, yogurt, muffins, fruit and nutrigrain bars. A 5-star meal, of course not. Enough to get you moving and keep you from being hungry? Absolutely. Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn't mention the wonderful gentleman at Valet whose name I unfortunately misplaced. Always courteous, with a smile and a kind word. Everyone in our immediate party, including the Bride and Groom, agreed that we had great service and would stay here again without hesitation on our next visit to Louisville. Thank you again to the staff here!…
We arrived for one day.....Parking is 10.00 Dollars across the street (No FREE Parking)....Rooms were in clean excellent condition....Indoor Gym in great condition...Rooms have small microwave, KERUG and fridge....we are in our 50's and walked easily to the waterfront, 4th street fun district....The slugger museum is across the street and bourbon street district....We REALLY enjoyed the fact the hotel is new and Fresh, also, you can walk easily to restaurants and waterfront......Please, give this a place a try.....Only negative, No hot breakfast due to COVID.
My in-laws stayed here for my daughter's H.S. graduation on Saturday. When they asked for dinner recommendations within walking distance, the front desk laughed and said everything is virtually shut down and referenced buildings being burned down due to the Brianna Taylor protests. They suggested to drive to St. Matthews/Bardstown Rd. area for dinner. None of that is true. I work downtown, and most restaurants are open, and there have not been troublesome protests for several months. Not a great way to promote downtown Louisville and make your guests feel safe and secure. Very disappointing and unprofessional to hear hotel bad mouth Louisville with false information.
Stayed here on June 4, 2021 for one night. The breakfast is not the normal holiday inn express breakfast even though I was told on the phone it was. It only had 3 cold cereals to choose from, OJ, yogurt and some pre packaged muffins. No fruit or other options. The room we got the AC didn’t work and after 2 calls down they did. I’ve used rooms. They did upgrade us to a suite but it smelled of smoke(weed). I didn’t say anything about I didn’t want to move rooms again with kids. I will definitely not stay here again if I ever pass though Louisville.
My daughter and I stayed here two different nights in April. Both nights, Glover checked us in. He was very polite and helpful both nights, and the scond night he even recognized me by name when I arrived. That second night we were early, but he still found us a room. We saw cleaning staff working. They were polite and friendly. The beds were comfortable, the toiletries were nice, and everything was CLEAN! At the moment, the city parking lot across the street has pleny available parking and maxes out at $8 for 24 hours. The hotel is a walk to the science and folk art museums. We will definitely be back.
