Where do I begin? This place is incredible! We stayed for 3 magical nights and it was the most romantic trip ever! The owners, Bob & Eva, are lovely to speak to on the phone even before we showed up. They were happy to give us any information we needed and lots of great suggestions for sightseeing in Louisville. My friend and I stayed in the best suite in the house, the St James Suite. Love-heart shaped tub and a whole room to myself just for the bathroom! I felt like a queen. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfy. There’s even a TV set in the room you can watch DVDs on that the house has a bookshelf full of. Majestic was the name of the innkeeper and she was extremely accommodating and sweet. She cooked us a delicious gourmet breakfast each morning that was to die for. Souffles, poached pears, biscuits, gravy, strawberry soup, muffins with homemade preserves, fresh coffee, juice, you name it! We were spoiled rotten. There was even a bar where you could help yourself to wine, bourbon, and port. Majestic was a fantastic host and lovely to chat too! Such a happy spirit and always ready to help with anything needed. She even surprised us with some homemade brownies in our room and they were delicious! The front porch is beautiful to sit on for nightcaps and relaxing. The backyard is great for eating meals and there’s a really cool mural on the back building to enjoy. You may even run into the neighborhood cat named Blue! He’s got real character in his face and loves to hang out with guests. The house itself is a masterpiece. The owners have decorated every room so stunningly. You can just sit in the piano room and gaze at the walls all day. The dining area is lovely to sit at during breakfast. You really feel like royalty. I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through Louisville. Such wonderful value for money too. The breakfast alone would cost you $60 anywhere else! Thankyou so much to Bob, Eva, and Majestic for a memorable and perfect stay in your beautiful historic house. We will see you again soon!

Superlatives like "awesome" and "fantastic" are used so freely in today's speech as to rob those words of their true meaning. However when it comes to describing Central Park Bed and Breakfast in old Louisville, those adjectives come alive in their true meanings! We love staying at B&B's and hate generic hotels/motels. We've made a science of staying at B&B's since this 1980's. We can truly say that we have never had a better experience than our stay at Central Park. Eva and Robert just could not be better hosts in every sense of the word. The mansion is amazing in its architecture, but perhaps more amazing is the Victorian decor and ambiance that they have recreated with incredible attention to detail. Central Park is a feast for the appetite as well as for the visual senses. Eva is a gourmet cook, and breakfast is as impressive to the eyes as it is to the taste buds! We stayed in the Peacock Room, and it was as comfortable as it was beautiful. Every conceivable amenity is provided. Our most heartfelt thanks, Robert and Eva, for your generosity in opening your museum quality home to sojourners and for blessing us with your kind hospitality. May God bless you richly in return!

My wife and I stayed one night in the Rose Garden Suite. The room was impeccably clean. The host was knowledgable and courteous. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtful. Our room felt like an apartment rather than a hotel room. I laughed hysterically the next morning as I took my first bath since I was a toddler. At the same time, felt smothered in luxury with warmed towels and custom wrapped wonderfully fragrant bar soap. I highly recommend for a unique experience. To close out, I will add one suggestion to add a couple of extra simple medium pillows to the room. I'm sure they were available if we had asked.

Beautifully decorated, very comfortable and a delicious breakfast. Owners were friendly and super accommodating. I'm looking forward to a return trip! Winter is a nice quiet time for a visit. They book up for the Derby, I understand.
