Embassy Suites by Hilton Louisville Downtown is often praised for its elegant atmosphere and prime location near key attractions like the Louisville Slugger factory. Guests enjoy the hotel's spacious rooms and complimentary offerings such as a hearty breakfast and social hour, not to mention the convenience of an on-site CVS. However, some guests have called out concerns regarding room cleanliness, maintenance, and the bustling external noise. While the friendly service receives accolades, the additional costs for parking and the perceived value of the rooms have left some travelers wanting.

Stayed here for the second time in a year. This time to attend the UofL vs UVA men’s basketball game. Great walking distance to the YUM! Convenient to 4th Street Live! Valet was quick, check in was easy, like always clean room and the Premium Suite even came with a wide variety of snacks (multiple bags of chips, candy, trail mix, Pepsi products, and waters) daily.

Stayed for one night en route to Indianapolis. It was a weekday so 4th and Live was dead and all the stores were closing up by 930.
Pros: good location and walking distance to restaurants and entertainment.
Breakfast was good but the scrambled eggs had a rubber like texture.
Receptionist thing ended early at 730p.
Cons: valet parking cost $27 but we parked at the starks building 2mins away and paid $15 overnight. We felt safe in the area and was only approached by 1 panhandler (someone mentioned this in another review).
Room was kinda dirty and the water pressure was weak. Bed was comfy. The hotel is big and almost like a maze so be visual.

My husband and I decided to spend a quick Valentine's weekend in Louisville and are so glad we chose the Embassy Suites! Perfect location (right across from 4th Street Live) for bars/restaurants/breweries/distilleries. Beautiful hotel with professional staff. We were upgraded to a suite without asking and were very impressed with the cleanliness and modern touches in a historic building. The beds were a little stiff for my liking but overall a decent night's rest! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

I loved the convenience of the location, being able to walk easily to 4th Street Live and other businesses in the downtown area. The hotel itself, while an Embassy, is not like the typical style. It's clearly an old building remodeled for an Embassy. Ceilings in the rooms are at least 16' tall, which made it feel roomier. Elevators require room key, which was nice additional security. Check in was smooth and friendly. Housekeeping wasn't in any hurry. 1st day, after being out of the room from 9-2, we came back to find it hadn't been done yet. I called the desk, and they showed up around 4. 2nd day, same thing (even though both times they acted like it was unusual). 3rd day housekeeping never showed, and I didn't bother to call about it, since we were leaving the next day. Manager's reception was fun the first evening, with lots of people having a good time. Some of the staff were great, others seemed to hate their job. 2nd night, we went to the seating area to see if the bar was open, even though it was early (planning to pay). Bartender was rude, acting like we were only searching for free drinks. 3rd night we skipped it. Lobby bar, run by the next door restaurant Brendan's Catch 23, was fantastic. George, the bartender, was wonderful and the food ordered there was outstanding. Pricey, but well worth it. That was the best part of the whole experience. The valet service was fine, fairly pleasant and no issues, with quick service (10 minutes).

I have to say this was a real treat! With COVID, they have sanitizing stations conveniently located by the elevators and doors. The rooms are great with the high ceilings. This is probably the cleanest place I have stayed in a long time. I know because I wipe everything down before touching anything in the room and it was a great surprise and pleasure to know it was very clean.

They have an indoor pool; water is a bit cool. Max capacity is 5. Small but works and the room is warm. Parking is $32–valet only. Free breakfast was great! Made to order omelettes and other hot breakfast available. For the serve yourself, they provide gloves to wear.

The only down side is that it was very hard for me to find trash cans. I would have liked to see trash cans maybe by the elevators? The only one I could find was by the ice machine.

Stayed here for a couple of nights on a weekend Bourbon Trail tour and have nothing but compliments for this hotel. Room was modern and spotless. Lobby is large and looks great. Popular restaurant and CVS pharmacy is connected the lobby area of the hotel. Location is right across the street from 4th and Live. Breakfast was top notch as far as hotel breakfasts go in quality, and variation. Evening happy hour/social makes for a good start to an evening. Staff is professional and friendly. Only negative I can give is the only onsite parking option is a $30 a day valet service. There are parking lots and garages located within a block radius that vary from $15 to 25 a day. I will definitely consider staying at this hotel if I return to the Louisville area.

Did my research and could find this place, walking distance from a major federal building where I had a conference to attend. The studios in this place are pretty large, and they have complimentary happy hours and buffet breakfast. Very sweet deal and nice location.

Clean hotel and friendly staff. Phone calls I made prior to hotel stay were answered with great accuracy and detail. They accommodated us with room next to each other. The gym equipment was up to date. I would have liked to use the stairs more often but the signage for this was not clear.

I was allowed to check in early and received an upgrade. Every staff member was extremely friendly and helpful and my room was gorgeous. The breakfast buffet was the best I've ever seen and the evening reception was fun (yummy - and free - sangrias!). The rooms were comfortable (even though I could hear people talking and doors slamming through the walls) and my group had a great time. It was a beautiful and modern hotel and very clean. I would 100% stay here again!

Don't let the reviews about homeless people near the hotel discourage you from booking. Every urban core has a homeless population but we never felt endangered. There were always valets and staff to welcome you at the entrance. The hotel location is right across the street from 4th Street Live and the Seelbach Hilton and is conveniently located to all downtown restaurants, waterfront and distilleries. This hotel has a beautiful spacious lobby that is sparkling clean and has a wonderful fragrance that you notice, the moment you walk thru the doors. The complimentary breakfast has nice made-to-order omelettes and a variety of standard breakfast fare. The evening reception area has complimentary beer, wine and spirits, plus light snacks. Ignore the reviews that complain about the quality. It's complimentary; what do you expect, top shelf? Don't partake. The rooms are spacious with a desk, microwave, fridge and small sink. For the price we paid, we felt it was a great deal!!
