I haven't stayed at this property yet, but I must say that after learning about some of Marriott's policies, (be sure to read their fine print ... room types are not guaranteed ... and if you make any modifications - even just to shorten your stay, they can zap you with a major room price increase) I am a bit wary about making any future reservations with the Marriott product. However, I must travel to this Louisville location on business next week .... All I can say is that Ricky Thomas, a kind gentleman from the front desk, came to my rescue in a time of need during a recent reservation crisis at the midnight hour. He took the time, care and personal attention to my dilemma and brought a favorable outcome to my situation, which otherwise could have been a last minute nightmare. So thank you Ricky for your kindness, professional courtesy and steadfast assistance in this matter. You saved the day!

Rarely do I experience a Marriott that is not up to standards, and this one is no exception! Great location, plenty of parking with some extra space in the room and walking distance to everything. Ricky at the front desk went above and beyond and made the trip exceptional! We were in town for a kids tournament and needed to leave a day early. I made the reservation through my credit card and had I booked with Marriott it would have taken less than a minute. My credit card pre-charged my card and getting the last night removed seemed impossible and took about 3 hours! The agent said they could not reach the hotel, so I walked up to the desk and was speaking with Ricky and on the phone with travel company agent, miraculously they were able to speak. It took Ricky about a minute to guide them through the process of customer service and resolution. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had an awesome overnight stat at this hotel. The entire area consisting of a kitchen, lounge area, bedroom and bathroom was exceptionally clean. The room was modern and the bed and sofa were so comfortable that I had no trouble falling asleep on both of them while watching the cute swivel television. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and even better than the one in the four-star hotel that we stayed in for the rest of our stay in Lousiville.

Loved the hospitality of the staff! The rooms are nicely furnished, clean,very comfortable and have a full kitchen if you enjoy being able to prepare your own food or have special dietary requirements during your stay. If you're on the go in the morning and want to grab a quick bite they also have a more than adequate morning buffet featuring eggs, turkey sausage, fresh breads/muffins,fruit, yogurt, cereal, delicious waffles with all of the accoutrement, coffee and tea, also in the evening they have a hosted reception offering tasty bites from some of the local nearby restaurants. The night that I stayed the General Manager (Jim Quinn) who was a very hospitable and kind man made me a "to go" plate to take back to my room after I had raved about the spicy fried chicken and mac & cheese that they featured from Joella's They have a very small gym with treadmills, lifecycles and free weights which was perfect for getting a quick workout in and if you prefer your exercise outdoors there's a trail by the river down the street. The Residents Inn is my new favorite place to stay when I'm visiting Louisville.

Stayed here while in town on business and was surprised at how dated the property is, they could take better care of it. The staff was friendly and professional, the breakfast crew could definitely use some additional help. I went down for breakfast they were out of eggs, sausage and coffee. The lady was very apologetic- but really, run out of all the main items. There were a lot of people standing around waiting for breakfast. This could be resolved with proper staffing
