The manager was very helpful and professional during my stay. The room was very clean abs all the public areas as well. It was a very good visit and I appreciate the Marriott brand abs consistency. They do have an issue with homeless sleeping in the parking deck but the manager acted on this quickly as well. Otherwise I would not have felt safe.

This hotel is hard for me to rate because there were good and bad parts. For location, I think Louisville downtown just isn’t great in general. Within a minute, you’re in an area with tons of trendy shops/restaurants. I didn’t feel safe in the parking garage but honestly everyone should be cautious in every parking garage. There were frequently people drinking and doing drugs in there. However, it’s well located to anything you would want to do in Louisville. If I were alone, I would consider staying somewhere else. The rooms are nice and the price was very affordable. It has everything you would need and is as pictured. However, our room smelled of smoke. There is NOT a hot breakfast and their breakfast offering is abysmal. A paper sack with a muffin, granola bar and water. I have stayed elsewhere during COVID and they are making reasonable breakfast efforts-this place is not. The renovations overall are nice. The front desk is good about not letting people in the locked door, that don’t have a key. This also appears to be a hotel where many people book parties, so it’s very loud, and no one walks around to monitor this. Parking is $18/day but I’m not really sure where else you could park to stay here.

Hi ArielleT489, Thanks so much for staying with us! I apologize that your experience did not live up to our high Marriott standards. We do have security at night to monitor our garage and hallways. Also, with some local and state restrictions lifted we will be expanding our grab-and-go breakfast to allow significantly more options. We would love for you to give us another "try" at Residence Inn next time you visit Louisville.

We checked in March 13th around 1PM, they were able to accommodate an early check in. The first room we went to on the 4th floor smelled like smoke. We went back down and they switched us to a new room which was handicap accessible, the room was just OK but we were just glad it wasn't smokey. The walls were thin and our door (maybe due to the electronics to make it self open) had a gap so we could hear everything going on in the hall as well as the noise from music and voices at the party across the hall. My son once counted 12 people in the room across from us. Our shower didn't drain adequately so it allowed water to flood the entire bathroom and area outside the bathroom. The bed had a sink spot and the pillows were too thick. I requested some foam pillows but they never arrived. The breakfast was a grab and go and not a hot breakfast buffet as described. I'm beginning to feel many businesses are starting to use COVID as a cost saving measure versus a health and safety measure. Nothing really special or positive to say. I've stayed in worse but they weren't Marriott. While the staff were friendly, one gentlemen at the front desk told me to google restaurants to see what was opened. I would definitely recommend staying at a different property.

This place is horrible! Nasty and smelly. My room door 331 was broken, front desk staff present on March 7, 2021 didn’t no anything, lack luster breakfast(I do understand Covid is still present) but a brown bag with a water bottle and a breakfast bar is just crazy. If your going to offer breakfast until 10am at least have coffee available. Pre-warning the area is sketchy, NO security, and the place smell when you enter the building. Stay at your own risk !!!!

Hi leticiaaI8607QK, Thanks for staying with us! I know how frustrating it can be to have a poor experience and apologize for it. I will definitely have my engineering team ensure the room door is in working order. We are currently offering pre-packaged muffins, granola bars, bottles of water, and a couple options for whole fruit along with a full coffee bar for breakfast. We certainly look forward to the day when we can return to our normal breakfast offerings. We would love for you to give us another "try" at Residence Inn next time you visit downtown Louisville.

Sketchy area, no security other than desk clerk. Multiple homeless loiter in the garage. Had someone try to enter hotel via locked garage entrance as I left, notified desk who then confronted the person who was not staying in the hotel and was not visiting a guest. Room was not great. Cracked sink bowl, toilet that constantly ran, cupboard hinges that were loose, paper towel dispenser falling off inside of cupboard. Found I had to wipe surfaces myself as there was debris on stands and tables, disappointing during covid times especially... Would not recommend.
