Thanks to Steve and Devona for a wonderful stay in Louisville! Our family of 5 with 3 kids (10, 7, 2) enjoyed staying in Elizabeth's Chamber. The beautiful 180 year old house is pristine, preserved, and decorated in period furnishings making it an authentic, unique experience. Steve and Devona were hospitable and accommodating with our changing travel plans and couldn't have been better, more welcoming hosts. They truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome. From fresh cookies in the evening to unique, generous gifts on our way out. Breakfast was DELICIOUS and all 5 of us enjoyed the eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, fresh fruit, coffee, etc. I don't think we spared a crumb. Thanks again for everything. If we're ever in Louisville again we'll definitely be back.

As an 1840 farm house along the curving, tree'd Tucker Station Road, it has all the charms one might expect and more. I lodged in the "Traveler's Room" that included a separate stair case with balcony and chairs overlooking a lovely back yard and trees (access to the stairs inside the main house also). The hosts were delightful, helpful, and the breakfast wonderful... beautifully presented, delicious and very filling! You won't leave hungry! Many little touches made the meal and room a great experience. The rooms were clean, and snacks, beverages, coffee and tea selections were provided in the room in addition to a mini-fridge and access to a shared library on the 2nd floor nearby with microwave. Property is close to the new walking and cycling Parks of Floyd's Fork, along 265. The village of Jeffersontown is a short drive west off 155, providing several restaurants and any other routine needs one may have.

One of the most affordable B&Bs we have stayed in and, with all the amenities we could hope for. Every review was spot on from the hosts, delicious breakfasts, location and ambiance of an 1840's home. Country like living and only 19 minutes to downtown and the Belle of Louisville.

I would love to come back when the pool is open.

YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED

This was our second visit to this property, which must say something about our first visit right? Our trip to the United States and stay in Kentucky were short in the planning but when thinking about places to stay we simply couldn't better 1840 Tucker House.

A wonderful, characterful, historic property filled with accents of years past and two of the most genuine, sincere, friendly and thoughtful people you would ever wish to meet.

Our bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was fully equipped and the food....one week and 7 pounds heavier says it all, totally delicious, hand made breakfasts every morning with no two morning menus the same....where else would you get that???

To Steve and Devona our heartful thanks for all you did for us, we will return!!

My husband and I attended a wedding a short distance from the Tucker House and were so lucky to have found such a splendid B@B. We loved our room with its private entrance and enjoyed hearing about the history of this beautiful and historic home. Everything was perfect, from the super comfy mattress and pillows to the yummy breakfast served to us on the stunning patio with a view of the gardens. Steve and Devona were charming, totally accommodating, and made us feel like friends instead of customers. I now know why Tucker House has received so many stellar reviews.

My family had the pleasure in staying at this wonderful B&B for a family wedding that took place less than a mile away at the Black acre venue. My family converged here from New Jersey, North Carolina and Texas. Our family occupied all of the rooms. The host and hostess are so kind and well prepared that we actually felt we were staying with wonderful friends. The breakfasts were delicious. They accommodated our requested breakfast times. We felt pampered and very well taken care of. It was our family's home while we were there! Others have covered how well appointed this home is, but we all commented on how spotless it was. Clean, clean ,clean !!! Thank you ! I hope we can visit again!

A wonderful stay at The Tucker House. All of the rooms are beautifully appointed. Lots of attention to detail. The grounds are beautiful- lovely gardens and even a swimming pool. The included breakfast was amazing. Fresh fruit & yogurt, baked eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, coffee & tea. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at the Tucker House. Loved the antiques, atmosphere, and amenities including the pool which was similar in size to the one at the Louisville Marriott East where we had just stayed for several nights. Steve and Devona have thought of everything, big and small, to make their guests comfortable. Highly recommend.

The ambience & comfort of this beautifully preserved historic home is perfect! I received a warm & friendly welcome at the front door from hosts Davona & Steve. My room had everything I needed, from couples’ matching robes, extra blankets & a room heater. I enjoyed a long soak in the jetted tub with a warm cuppa from the well-stocked drink kitchen. I had my choice of interesting reads from the book shelf & could have watched television from the comfort of the cozy tester bed. I wish I had planned on staying for breakfast because I learned that that is Davona’s specialty! I highly recommend this beautiful bed & breakfast. What a restful & lovely stay!!

Three couples came together to celebrate life and love. We enjoyed a wonderful day at the pool and the best KY breakfast. The hosts were friendly but gave us our space. Even during the pandemic we felt safe and cared for.
