This hotel is in a great location in Louisville. The room was huge and nicely decorated. It had a great view of the river. The hotel is large so there were a ton of guests but overall had a great experience.
I spent 5 nights here while on business hosted at the hotel. The property is clean and my room (1607) was in good working order with serviceable desk and clean bathroom with double sink. The day after my first night in the hotel the room had not been serviced by 3 pm. I called the front desk as was literally told: "We service the room every three days. Didn't they give you the letter about that." I told the desk clear that I expected the bathroom to be cleaned and supplied with fresh towels daily. She replied: "Well, you'll have to call the desk every day to request that." I replied: "I'm going to quote you in a Trip Advisor review and I expect to see the bathroom cleaned and fresh towels left daily." I'm on day 4/5 and it's worked so far, but such attitudes are unbecoming. Our meeting rooms had highly variable heat (especially on the 1st floor) and some of our participants were wearing outdoor jackets in meetings. Overall: marginal quality and you can do better at nearby hotels.…
A great location and a wonderful hotel with exceptional staff. Would definitely recommend to family and friends for a leisure stay. Wonderful restaurant and a terrific location in downtown Louisville.
Very nice room. One maintenance issue was quickly fixed. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was very nice. Full size sofa with coffee table. Good size closer. Only stayed one night. Price was good. Great place for those visiting the city.
The sheets on the bed are TERRIBLE. It’s like trying to sleep on starched crepe paper. I stay in 50+ hotel rooms a year, and your beds and sheets are by far the worst. I’m sure you get this feedback often. I cringe when the organizations I work with announce a conference at the Galt House. Plus we were double-charged for parking.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's staying in Louisville. Our room in the West Tower was very nice, Swizzle's Restaurant inside the hotel was delicious and had rooms with rotating floors overlooking the city/river, and the location was perfect!! Book the West Tower for the best views of the Ohio River, best access to all the hotel restaurants, and close to all local entertainment and distilleries/bourbon trail!
We are consistent return guests to the Galt House. We love it. The remodel they did a couple of years ago was perfect. It still has the charm that it always had. Miss the aquarium bar-it’s the only thing I didn’t like about it.
Soft comfortable bed. View from west tower was awesome! Loved eating at Down One! Friendly staff and valet was quick and friendly! I just wish there was a microwave in the room. Will stay there again on next visit!
I will stay here for Business every time I am Louisville! Will make it a point to stay her for pleasure trips as well. All staff is friendly and eager to lend a helping hand, advice on dining and places to visit!
We stayed for a weekend get-away. Had a great time. Friendly service. Great room with a beautiful view. Close by restaurants and sites. Easy trip from Cincinnati, Ohio. Would gladly stay again for a quick trip.
