Our gracious home was built circa 1863. We have maintained the old charm of the civil war era while providing you with all the luxuries and amenities of today. We're nestled right in the heart of "Bourbon Country" and this makes for a perfect base for your daily travels. Our breakfasts are not only plentiful, but as delicious to the eye as to the pallet! Wow! We had an absolutely INCREDIBLE visit at The Hill House Bed & Breakfast. Lisa Marie the innkeeper, went above & beyond to make sure our 3 day stay was perfect. From our welcome happy hour & our delicious gourmet brunch in the mornings, to the clean & comfy accommodations, everything was PERFECT! The location to the Bourbon Trail was great too! Maker’s Mark, Willet & Heaven Hill were within a short drive. I have been to several B&B around the country. The Hill House ranks at the top of the list. I would highly recommend staying there while enjoying your Bourbon Trail Trip.

The bed and breakfast was nestled in a beautiful location near several distilleries. The house was so pretty and our room was gorgeous. The breakfast the next morning was amazing. Our host was warm and friendly and very accommodating. From the delicious chocolates that greeted us when we arrived to the cozy bed that we slept in, everything was pleasant and restful. The venue was very close to the Amp where we saw a concert and to Maker’s Mark Distillery where we toured the next day. Everything was perfect!

The best bed and breakfast ever! The house is beautiful, the food is absolutely delicious and Lisa Marie is the most wonderful hostess you'll ever have! Upon arrival, she has "happy hour" with wine, cheese, etc. So yummy! The back porch is inviting and cozy. The front porch has rockers where you can sit and watch the world go by. Each room is tastefully decorated and has everything you need! Breakfast, oh my! Everything is fresh and absolutely delicious! Even though we didn't use it this time, the parlor has a fireplace and we were able to enjoy it's coziness during a different stay last winter. I don't think you'll find a better place to stay! :)

The owner kept pushing wine on us and I didn’t think it was appropriate especially since my spouse has a drinking problem she didn’t even ask if anyone had a drinking problem so I was not happy about that. Secondly when we got back from our concert on August 25, 2023 we went to get something to eat and my husband misplaced her keys so I knocked on her door and it took forever to get her to answer and I nicely said my husband misplaced your keys can you let me in well you would of thought I said I’m head to rob you lol 😂 when running a business like this you should learn to know that people come in at different times and sometimes misplace the keys WE DID NOT LOSE THE KEYS WE LEFT THEM FOR HER IN OUR BEDROOM DOOR WHEN WE LEFT . She was already texting us early that morning on Saturday August 26 to check out even though even checking in she told my husband if he wanted an extra night it was ok. This woman will harass you every morning and the street is so noisy you won’t get any sleep. I swear there are tractor trailers up and down that road before daylight and dump trucks.

Well first I would have to say, I’ve NEVER in my 20 years of owning this place, has anyone EVER banged on my private residence door at 2:30AM! That was a little detail left out of the above review! Yes, it took me a few minutes to wake up during a deep sleep! And yes, when I greeted this woman, I was not happy! I went and opened up the door so that they could get to their room. At which point, I messaged them and said you need to check out before 11 AM today! Meeting today! Because it was 2:30 AM in the morning! Also, I would like to note that in our confirmation, and on our website, it states that we have a wine and cheese happy hour upon arrival! Never was I ever informed that someone had a drinking problem. The day I greeted these people, they both excepted the wine without any hesitation! They both drank the entire bottle of wine. The next morning, the Mr. came to breakfast. Miss Denise did not bother to come down to breakfast at all. Nothing was ever mentioned to me that point about a drinking problem. That evening they went to the concert, and I did not hear from them again until 2:30 AM when they misplaced their keys. At which point I asked them to leave BY 11am, standard check out time as stated EVERYWHERE! They did not leave the premise until 11:35am. I missed my appointment because of this. Oh, the best part…. Someone drank 7 bottles of my HUSBAND’s beer, never offered to these people, and guess where the bottles were found! Yep, in their room with nasty cigarette butts inside! So you be the judge!

Simply AMAZING! cannot praise ms. Lisa enough! The food was fantastic, the drinks, the vibe of the home...the room just fantastic. I have never stayed at a bed and breakfast before now but now I will never stay at a hotel ever again! Ms. Lisa has set the bar high for other B&B I can say that! If you are in the area definitely choose her over a hotel!!

We traveled from CA and celebrated my husbands birthday at the Hill House which was amazing. Our host, Lisa Marie, made the best breakfast's every morning. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Even the sweet little dog Rudy James made us feel right at home. The Hill House is conveniently located on the Bourbon Trail and has incredible history of it's own along with a great reputation in the community. Prior to our trip Lisa helped us with recommendations on distilleries, tours, restaurants, and must see places. We had a great week that was full of fun memorable experiences. We'll definitely be going back!!! -Val

Two couples booked this b&b for a weekend getaway in Bourbon country. We had such a fun time. The patio was great for fall evening visits. Our breakfasts were so much fun and lively with the other guests. Lisa Marie and Rudy James are just the absolute best hosts. We had a schedule discrepancy and Lisa Marie made sure we had breakfast before leaving. She goes above and beyond and it truly made our weekend extra special! And her breakfasts really are phenomenal! Thank you again!!
