Welcome to one of Australia’s most exclusive luxury retreats. Built in 1856, Kingsford The Barossa is picturesque venue that has been lovingly restored to become one of Australia’s finest luxury retreats – a gem nestled amongst riverbanks and rolling hills, surrounded by beautiful gum trees and the native Australian landscape. Tucked away and only 45 minutes from the bustling city centre, the iconic 225-acre property is set on the edge of the breathtaking wine country of South Australia. Once home to a wealthy nineteenth-century pastoralist, nothing rivals exclusive access to the 16-suite retreat which can host up to 32 people. The original homestead, oozing with history and charm since its inception in 1856, is home to eight luxury double suites – each with a unique ensuite of decadent taste. With each varying in size and style, our guests can experience a mixture of comfort and luxury while staying at Kingsford The Barossa. Modern, luxurious and overflowing with timeless character, the new expansion includes four new east-facing View Suites that ensure guests can enjoy uninterrupted views of rolling hills through floor-to-ceiling glass, with access to private courtyards. Another addition is the new expansive Conservatory, which is the perfect location for hosting special events at any time of day with the backdrop of idyllic pastoral views.

Great stay. Beautiful property. Fantastic staff that made the trip memorable. The restaurant produces top quality meals and caters to any dietary requirements. The owner was very friendly and politely introduced himself over breakfast. Wine cellar is amazing. We will be back.

Enjoyed a one night Thursday night stay. Accomodation was very comfortable, and Property was stunning, especially the wine tunnel, dining room and Bar. Staff very relaxed and engaging. We loved the History of Kingsford dinner, which expanded the fascinating history of the Property from the 1800s

Beautiful homestead, we could not fault a thing about it. Exceptional, service and loved our stay. Being big McLeods Daughters fans we loved being able to stay at "Drovers Run", will definitely be back.

We owe our deepest gratitude to master Sommelier David D'Cruze & the incomparable Chloe, who orchestrated an experience beyond our wildest dreams during our brief sojourn. With a keen eye for perfection, they left no stone unturned in crafting the epitome of luxury, leaving an indelible imprint on our hearts. In this hidden oasis, time stood still, allowing us to savor the finest offerings of the Barossa Valley. From the exquisite cuisine prepared by Executive Chef, Joel Cugley to the velvety wines exquisitely served by David that danced upon our palates, every aspect exuded an air of sophistication and refinement. We were transported to a realm where indulgence and opulence intertwined, leaving an everlasting impression on our senses.

This is a truly unique Barossa experience, hosted in a gorgeous 19th century restored farm mansion (as previously featured in "McLeod's Daughters"). The setting is soothing and picturesque, it is very private and exclusive and all the suites and rooms are exquisite. The staff are extremely personable and nothing is too much trouble for them! David, the wine master sommelier, provides an exceptional wine tasting / education experience in the enormous cellar (complete with a "Champagne Room" and 70 seater dining table!). This is an incredible weekend away for couples or small groups of (adult) family and friends. The food served in Orleana is a highlight, especially the History of Kingsford degustation menu. Amazing to visit in either summer or winter. We will absolutely stay again!

This our second stay at Kingsford and once again we were delighted with our stay. The venue is just immaculate, sensational views and lovely staff who are incredibly helpful. It's set in the picturesque Barossa Valley and no other local venue even comes close to this. From the magnificent views, to the incredible dining experience and endless supply of wines from all over the world. You can't go wrong with a stay at Kingsford!
